Years ago. In fact, we were such regulars that the owner gifted us a bottle of Tequila one year! But the older we get, the further the drive seems. So now we only venture here a time or two a year and yet, when Karina saw us waiting to be seated, she immediately recognized us and welcomed us back, saying that it'd been a long time. It made me feel at home, which is always the case here. I had three tacos, a la cart: Flavorful carne asada; generous fried pescado; and house-made chorizo. They were all so good. Four happy diners. And our guests offered to do the driving in the future, so we can return more often. YAY! Now that's a win-win.

I ordered the menudo, and while it was good, I personally felt it could have used a little more flavor. Now, keep in mind, I'm from Michoacán, and we love our food full of spices and bold flavors! My husband ordered the Molcajete and requested a #5 spice level, but it wasn't quite as spicy as we expected. The items were a bit pricey, especially the aguas frescas. We assumed they would be refillable drinks, but unfortunately, they weren't. However, I must give a special shoutout to our waitress, Flor! She provided wonderful service, and her beautiful smile was absolutely contagious. She truly made us feel welcomed and added something special to our dining experience. Overall, we enjoyed the good food, great music, and lively ambiance. We appreciate the service and atmosphere, and we will definitely be back! Thank you, Chile Caliente!d

Now, I I haven't bought too many tacos from food trucks, and that's something that I really need to fix in my life, but let me tell you, these were great! I personally would say these are a good deal. I'm a big eater and got five tacos for $20 and was full. They are bigger than street tacos though I still downed them in about 3 or 4 bites. They come with a nice mild green salsa and a spicier red one and plenty of limes for squeezing. The five tacos that I got were mahi-mahi, shrimp, al pastor, carne, asada, and carnitas. I'm honestly not sure which one was my favorite as they were all really tasty. I'm honestly just thinking about the next time I'll get them.

The food was greasy(which honestly isn't a problem i expected that) but the grease was the only flavor i really tasted before putting on the mild salsa. I got three rolled flour taquitos with beef, chicken, and potato. The beef one was barely filled, chicken one was decently good, and the potato one i couldn't finish just no flavor and i love taquitos de papa. Also they were all different sizes is that normal or??? Circling back to the salsas the green salsa had no flavor at all just mostly water, didn't even use it and i love a green salsa too): Their other salsas were decently good though, not mind blowing but a nice spice with flavor and saved the taquitos if anything. The guac was just avocado no lime no salt no onion no flavor like plssssss, at least the avocado was very fresh. overall this place has potential, maybe i just got food on a day that the best cooks weren't working. I'm not kidding, this is hands down the best Mexican food of this fast category I've ever had. It's NOT Roberto's at all. The burritos are big, slightly grilled, and the meat is delicious. We had the California burrito the first few times, but the real winner is the chicken burrito. I know it sounds boring, but they marinade it so it's so tender and juicy. It tastes a lot like al pastor actually. They also use a melty cheese that gives queso-rito. One burrito is more than enough for 2 people... seriously. Interior is very similar to a Roberto's, complete with salsa bar. They probably didn't change much from when it was one. Service is friendly and fast and there's always a good crowd of customers. If you're in the area this should definitely be your top spot for Mexican takeout
