He was very professional and knew his business! The estimate was VERY reasonable. We went with them and have no regrets. Easy to schedule with and they are very accommodating. Our cabinets were showing signs of wear and tear, sun damage and drips from water. They were originally a stained cabinet from Home Depot and looked pretty sad. Carlos and Eric were scheduled and showed up when expected and had everything they weren't going to paint meticulously taped off and covered in one day. Drawer fronts and cupboard doors were removed and taken to their shop. The sanding and degreasing took another day and maybe 1/2. Then they primed everything. Then they painted. The whole job went from Monday through Thursday. The guys were very thorough and careful with everything. They worked hard the whole time. When the paint was dry, they put everything back and placed new hardware we had picked on all the drawers and cabinet doors. It looks so good! So smooth! Highly recommend this company. We will call them again for our future projects, of which I can think of two right now. Their office staff are also very attentive and polite!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE A SCAM…read more My neighbors hired this company to stain our shared cedar fence, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. I worked directly with Grant, who assured me multiple times that the fence would be fully stripped of the previous stain before any new stain was applied. This was a major part of the agreement and it did not happen. We only agreed to move forward with the semi-transparent stain he recommended because he guaranteed that the old stain would be removed and that the new product would cover evenly. Instead, the previous stain was not stripped and is clearly visible through the new coat, leaving the fence patchy and inconsistent. To make matters worse, the oil-based stain that was applied was not properly sealed, which defeats the purpose of using that product in the first place. I recently had my own crew stain another section of the same fence after fully stripping it to bare wood, and the difference in quality is dramatic. The work completed by this company is noticeably lighter, uneven, and simply not what was promised. I also called the company directly to understand what needed to happen to address the issues under their 2-year workmanship warranty. The woman who answered the phone told me I was the only one with a problem and that nothing would be done. This response made it clear that the company has no intention of standing behind its work. When I reached back out to Grant, he told me the job "looked good," and then stopped responding. Between the poor workmanship, the misleading commitments, and the refusal to honor their own warranty, it is clear this company does not care about customers or quality. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY.

As a mural artist, I had the pleasure of working alongside this company while completing a large…read morecustom mural project for Aston Martin San Diego. The project involved painting a large exterior mural based on the client's approved design within an extremely tight four-day deadline. I worked from sunrise until sunset each day, and I can honestly say that completing this project would have been far more challenging without the outstanding support of this team. The managers, Victor, Mike, and Maga, coordinated every stage of the project with remarkable professionalism. The crew prepared the wall beautifully and consistently made sure my work could continue without interruption. They always prioritized whatever was needed to support the artistic process, creating ideal working conditions from start to finish. What impressed me most was that the entire team understood how important it was to protect the creative process. They organized their work around my painting schedule, ensuring that the wall was always ready, the materials were available exactly when needed, and every detail was handled efficiently. That level of coordination allowed me to remain completely focused on the artwork throughout each long day. Victor deserves special recognition. He promptly delivered every material I needed, perfectly matched and prepared all the custom paint colors, and calculated the quantities with remarkable accuracy, ensuring that nothing ever slowed the project down. Thanks to the excellent coordination and teamwork, the mural was completed on schedule, and Aston Martin San Diego was delighted with the final result. They subsequently commissioned several additional murals, including one inside their showroom. Working with a company that values organization, craftsmanship, communication, and teamwork at such a high level made an enormous difference. It was a true pleasure to collaborate with this outstanding team, and I would gladly work with them again. Marika Alekzander

The crews that did the work did a great job. They were polite, professional, and did good work (the crews that did the texture even went so far as to vacuum my hardwood floors to keep my two huskies dog hair from getting in the wet texture). I previously posted a negative review due to some complications that arose after the project was finished. However, the owner of San Diego Painting ended up calling me and we were able to work things out. He was polite, apologetic for the problem, and pleasant to work with. I wrote San Diego Painting about some very minor issues after the project was completed and never heard back which prompted my previous negative review. As stated above, the owner called me after seeing the review (Yelp works!) and had all the problems fixed the next day. He stated that my email never made it to him due to a clerical error. After talking to him, I believe that won't happen in the future, and again it was an unfortunate unintentional mistake. In summery, this company does good work, has competitive pricing, and the crews I dealt with went above and beyond. I also appreciate the owner calling me, being very polite and professional, and handling the issues immediately. I would recommend their services and would use them again.

The first day they were supposed to come at 8:30, at 9 I called them to find out why they weren't here yet and they said they had to drive to Chula Vista to pick up machinery (I live in Mission Valley) and they didn't know when they would get there - extremely poor planning on their part. Meanwhile I am sitting around late for work waiting for them. I had to reschedule because I couldn't wait around all day for them. The next day they come on time, but then inform me that some guy has to come another day to finish the texturing of the ceiling. No one had told me this and it would require me to take even more time off of work to let the worker in and out of my apartment. I spoke to Sean, who I am assuming is the boss, about my dissatisfaction, and he was argumentative. His secretary failed to tell him I was taking time off of work to let the workers in and out of my apartment, and he tried to blame the miscommunication on me. The ceilings came out fine, but due to the horrible service I will not be using them again.

He had a clear and detailed bid that he emailed to me with a simple process for accepting the quote and clear pricing. When I told him that I needed ASAP turn around, he went out of his way to schedule a crew on the weekend to take care of me. He was definitely not the least expensive bid, but the quoting process and communication from Cristian made me confident that they were worth the price they proposed. Cristian did a walkthrough with me and sent his crew out and they prepped the first day. They power washed and masked EVERY single surface. They took great care to protect and mask all of my decking and outdoor kitchen. Then the next day, they showed up nice and early and got started painting. They worked FAST! The crew was polite and professional and worked quickly and efficiently. By the third day, they had finished the majority of my job and just had a few touch ups and some clean up to do. All of this over a weekend! I'm a notorious perfectionist and while I try not to be difficult to please, I know that I can get nit picky. Well Cristian is a perfectionist too! He was not happy until I was happy and it was such a breath of fresh air compared to many contractors who want to do the minimum and cash their check. He runs a truly excellent company with a focus on customer service and satisfaction. Ultimately, I'm very satisfied with my project with CG Pro. I'll definitely hire them for my interior project.
