We called about getting a new central air unit and was told they were very busy and couldn't get to us til end of March. It's now April and we never even got a phone call explaining if they were still coming or just not going to show up ever. We wasted all that time waiting on J and S to come when we could have been in touch with another company. Now we have to start all over again and it's getting hot really fast. Very disappointed in J and S and bummed that they didn't even respect a customer enough to make a phone call and totally blew us off.

They came back twice and could not fix it. I was told that it might require a $481 part, but that they couldn't guarantee that would make it work as the gas extractor might be cracked (but they weren't sure). Although they knew my water heater wasn't working, I received no more word from them for a week, until I called the following Monday. They said they would check on the circumstances and call me back that afternoon. I got no call until Thursday when a workman said he had a work order to come out and take a look. Meanwhile, as I told them when they originally "serviced" it, we were having 6 girls riding in the Tour of the Gila, and we needed hot water. So, I got someone else to replace my water heater. Although I hold J+S responsible for all of this, they have not accepted responsibiity, nor offered reparations. I could certainly not recommend them even for the simplest of plumbing jobs

Sun City Plumbing & Heating has exceeded my expectations once again! From the office staff to the…read moreestimator and plumbers, every person I interacted with was outstanding. I had a challenging situation with a historic home that needed a new water main, complicated by a century of modifications to the old line. Jack went above and beyond to help troubleshoot and map out the intricate layout of the lines running to and under the home. With my background in construction, architecture, and engineering, I appreciated Jack's expertise in helping me understand this complex system, ultimately getting the water lines replaced and adding a filtration system with plans for future work. The communication throughout--from the initial estimate to the completion of the job--was phenomenal, even while I was managing the project remotely. This is the second time I've hired Sun City Plumbing & Heating, and it certainly won't be the last for my properties in my hometown of Las Cruces. Their workmanship and customer service are truly top-notch!

Dishonest, bait and switch, over-billing, con artists, Used Car Salesman is probably the best way to describe Five Star. I see they have one review prior to my review. But I also see 9 other reviews are disallowed by Yelp. Because Yelp screens reviews which are believed to be false, or phony reviews. NINE phony reviews. Wish I checked Yelp Prior to contacting this Five Star. I won't go into details except to say ... please avoid these people, they are not trustworthy or honest. If you choose to hire them, you may "pay the price" in extra phony hours billed, extra materials billed etc. Like a dishonest car dealership, they give you and INSANE bill at the end of the joy, then try to get you to negotiate a lower number. If you don't go along with their game, they may go to your electrical circuit breaker box and kill power to your house like some kind of gangsters. They cut power to our 20x20 space, killing electricity to the hot water in our house, cutting power to our refrigerator, our lights, garage door, and irrigation system by removing the breakers - yes taking our breakers with them when they left. We were closer to calling the police, than our lawyer. By the next day, we called both the police AND our lawyer. These people are dishonest and unscrupulous. YMMV, but I doubt it.

I found Sunfire Solar through Energy Sage, along with several other solar contractors that I…read morereceived quotes from. After "interviewing" Sunfire, and other contractors, I selected Sunfire for my project based in part on their positive customer reviews and pricing. Another important factor in my decision was the knowledge, hands on experience, and professionalism of Thomas Kemp. Thomas worked with me to develop a projection of monthly and annual electric use with the recent addition of two plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and a hot tub; demands not reflected in historical use data. And then Thomas worked with me on a "bundle" of home energy improvements that included replacement of the electrical service panel, purchase and installation of two high-efficiency mini-split heat pumps, and a 6.4 kw solar PV array. The bundled price was very competitive relative to quotes from other contractors. Soon after an agreement was signed Sunfire went to work on the service panel replacement and then the mini-split heat pump installation. Of note is that I was allowed to specify the brand and models of the heat pumps. Installation of the PV array was the final step and was delayed approximately two months while approval processes and permitting were completed by the electric utility and the City of Albuquerque. The array was energized two weeks ago and to date it has performed exactly as projected in terms of peak output and daily yield. Based on what I see so far I'm confident the annual projected yield will be realized and will meet 95-100% of our household electrical use, including that of the two PHEVs. And finally, all of the individuals I interacted with through the duration of the project were responsive, easy-going, and professional. This included the assigned project manager, other office personnel, the electrician, HVAC guy, and others involved in the installation of the PV array. Overall I had a great experience with Sunfire Solar and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.
