Loved it worked wonderfully for five years. Quit working a couple of weeks ago. was well over 100 then. He installed it figured we were good for him to repair it UH NOT! He is in a major fight with Trane co. so he won't deal with them. So he orders a new compressor from some flim flam company. Trane had 6 in stock. Now you should know this is still under warranty. The other company can't have the compressor for a week. They wanted $950 for the compressor+ freight. Needless to say this didn't end well. Ended up hiring another company to finish it correctly. Dishonest, bait and switch, over-billing, con artists, Used Car Salesman is probably the best way to describe Five Star. I see they have one review prior to my review. But I also see 9 other reviews are disallowed by Yelp. Because Yelp screens reviews which are believed to be false, or phony reviews. NINE phony reviews. Wish I checked Yelp Prior to contacting this Five Star. I won't go into details except to say ... please avoid these people, they are not trustworthy or honest. If you choose to hire them, you may "pay the price" in extra phony hours billed, extra materials billed etc. Like a dishonest car dealership, they give you and INSANE bill at the end of the joy, then try to get you to negotiate a lower number. If you don't go along with their game, they may go to your electrical circuit breaker box and kill power to your house like some kind of gangsters. They cut power to our 20x20 space, killing electricity to the hot water in our house, cutting power to our refrigerator, our lights, garage door, and irrigation system by removing the breakers - yes taking our breakers with them when they left. We were closer to calling the police, than our lawyer. By the next day, we called both the police AND our lawyer. These people are dishonest and unscrupulous. YMMV, but I doubt it.

It was between 98 and 103 degrees outside, and the weekend was beyond miserable. 5 Star arrived at 8:30 Monday morning, went up on the roof, came down, explained the problem, and was done by 11:30. We had cold air!! They recognized and replaced wiring that was absolutely embarrassingly old and exposed. We had rain the previous Friday morning and it had shorted out. They replaced the wiring and even left extra in the unit in case it needed to be replaced again. They were courteous, professional and fast!! We appreciate them so much!
