The shopping center is in excellent condition with a smooth parking lot that is well lit at night and with speed bumps in front to keep people driving appropriately. Due to the number of collisions, they have set up a curb to prevent people from either crossing over to the Steele Creek Shopping Center or turning north on Steele Creek. I've been here for Two-for-Tuesday wings at the Wild Wing and it's always a challenge to find parking. At least the Cave Dwellers folks have their dedicated spots. The street starts at two lanes where it meets South Tryon and then, as it makes a curve, narrows to just one lane. A few accidents are missed by a hair. The first break in the center curb has a 'No U-Turns" sign but that is routinely ignored. There is a multi-story parking deck but it's not well marked and too far from the shops. I was here for the Fortune Cookie II Chinese restaurant but there is also pizza, nails, a nice Mexican place, Starbucks, Burger King and Game Stop. There is no traffic light to get in here but they have built a "cut" so that you can cross the northbound traffic to enter the shopping center. Please be careful - if the first lane stops, the second lane might not! You can also make a U-turn at Sandy Porter. I recommend taking the exit past the Burger King. Given the proximity to our home, we've been visiting here quite a few times. Aside from loving the easy location, I must mention that the best part of this strip is the lake and sitting areas located behind Spice Asian Kitchen, Napa and Taco Molino. All very brown, almost industrial...I'd say it's one of the most masculine looking shopping strips. The thing I don't like is how busy it is! By 5:45 pm, parking lots are packed...and the place is just a tad too busting at times...often with many kids. However, it has this near picturesque lake scene (complete with ducks, even a fake waterfall!) in the back that we really enjoy! If only there weren't office buildings behind that lake. :\ We usually get ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery after dining somewhere in this super-busy complex (So many restaurants here!), walk out to the lake, sit on one of their many comfy loungers and enjoy our dessert with a view. I used to work at a full line Nordstrom years ago, so I know quality when I see it. That's why I love the Rack because you can always expect good brands at better prices than you'd find at the full line store. To some people, Nordstrom Rack still feels a little pricey for a discount store, but you really have to compare it to the original full line price tags. I live in the NoDa area, and I will say this location was a bit farther out than I expected, about 25 minutes from my house. I was honestly surprised that there isn't a Nordstrom Rack closer to the city. This one is more on the outskirts, which is fine, but it does make quick trips or exchanges a little less convenient. Yes, you can return items at the full line Nordstrom, but sometimes you just want to browse and see what's new. Parking here was easy, and the store itself was clean and well organized. Coming from Houston and then Florida, I wasn't used to seeing so many coats in stock, so that actually caught my attention. They had a big winter selection, and I ended up leaving with a super cute trench coat, a puffer jacket, and a couple of other cold weather pieces since I know Charlotte winters are going to be colder. The staff was about as friendly as you'd expect at a Nordstrom Rack, but they moved quickly, and the checkout line wasn't long. Overall, this location was consistent with the other Nordstrom Racks I've been to. No surprises, just the usual dependable Rack experience. I'd definitely return.

There was so much variety here that you could spend a lot of time in this store. Upon checking out, I was greeted by a young lady. She asked me about opening a store credit card and I told her no thank you. Her demeanor changed, lol! I mean I'm sorry that I don't shop here often enough but also store credit cards are too limiting! But anywho...nice experience here and I would return.

The anchors here are Walmart and Lowe's, with an Exxon station, Publix supermarket, three fast food restaurants (McDonald's, Chick-Fil-A, Arby's), a few fast casuals (O'Charley's, Panera and IHOP) plus three strips of storefronts. a Chinese buffet, the best New York style pizza in Charlotte, sushi, another Italian, pho, burritos and a Radio Shack that converted to a Sprint store. The state liquor authority has an ABC store here. Lots of parking but the Walmart being in the back tends to make it a little scrambled as that specific section of the parking lot has three entrances and one of them involves a slightly obscured entrance to cross traffic. The entrance from northbound South Tryon has two turning lanes but they merge into one as they enter the shopping center. You'll want to be in the left lane and watch for the people in the right lane who don't know that. The CATS 16 South Tryon bus has two stops. I spend way too much time in this plaza, usually at the supermarket and too often in the home improvement store. We received bad looks from the waitress two that were their. and really bad service the food was cold and we waited for 40 minutos just for that. And told that waitress then. the manager brought that wrong food that was from the kids menu and clearly what we didn't order then they tried to charge more then what was order and my sister asked for her pancakes 3 times and never got them. I feel so angry and disappointed never going here again.
