Three years ago, I had two visits with Dr. Conrardy. I'm writing my review now because I keep thinking back on it. To date, I've never had a more powerful therapeutic session with anyone. This is what happened:
Before he made an adjustment on my neck, he said I might have an emotional release of some sort later that day. I asked how do you know, and he said he had a gift for finding these things. Whatever, I thought. I've heard a lot of ridiculous things uttered by chiropractors with a straight face, so I dismissed this comment and waited.
He briefly pressed down on the side of my neck with his arm, then released and said for me to lay there for awhile. The adjustment wasn't painful at all, and I laid there for 10 minutes or so and went home. A few hours later, I burst into tears out of nowhere and cried for 20 minutes. Like heaving sobs, uncontrollable, and talking to my mom about some really painful experiences I'd been through 8 years before that I'd never mentioned. I hadn't cried like this in many years. I tried to stop out of embarrassment, but it just kept coming. After it was over, it felt like a weight had been lifted.
To be honest, that experience shook me. I wasn't ready for it. It didn't hurt, it wasn't scary. But emotionally, I wasn't mature enough to handle the outward display of my pain being released. I'll never forget this guy, though. I've never had a chiropractor profoundly affect me the way he did, and for that I'm grateful. read more
