When we moved to Colorado, we left behind amazing relationships with doctors - including a fantastic chiropractor. I met Dr. Alex at the farmer's market and instantly felt like we could trust him with our family's spinal health. Due to the move, my back and my husband's back were in bad shape - lots of pain in many different areas. In just a few visits, I had space back in my neck, felt taller, felt I was standing up straighter, and enjoyed more pain-free days. Fast forward to this week and I was suffering from the strangest headache - no pain reliever could touch the pain. A doctor at the urgent care clinic was puzzled and told me to get ready to head to the ER if it didn't resolve in 48 hours. Dr. Alex is amazing. My husband and I have been going here for 4 years now, and he has really helped us out of multiple painful predicaments. Even though we now live in Littleton, we still go here because he is worth it. My back used to be very painful when I first started going to Dr Alex, and I was afraid of adjustments and hesitant to go. I'm not an average person when it comes to personal health. I'm a 53-year-old bodybuilder that puts daily stress on my body from my workouts. So, I'm always looking for ways to heal myself faster for the next workout. I've been seeing Dr. Alex for a few years now. I started with (TRT) Torque Release Technique but moved back to the old chiropractic standard of drop technique and spinal manipulation. What I like to call the crack and snap. I just like it. I also get dry needling with electricity which I love. My workouts can be intense. Dry needling with electricity will break up muscle knotting, assist in stopping spasms and break up scar tissue. Until that scar tissue heals, you will not grow muscle there. When I stopped by last time, Dr. Alex told me that he now has compression therapy. So, I gave that a try. I wanted to let my body recover for a few days before I wrote a review. Again, I'm not average. I did a very crazy leg day and went to see Dr. Alex a few hours later. I had my back worked on, dry needling in my calves followed by the leg compression therapy. I wish I ate before the compression therapy session because I've read that when the blood is pushed out of your legs and flows back. It will bring back nutrients and oxygen. All I had was my post-workout shake. So, I was starving after my session. As for compression therapy. I felt really good that night. I'm normally stiff. The next morning, I was in a lot of pain, but again that's because my leg workout was amazing. I did notice that I recovered faster throughout the day. By the afternoon I was ready to hit the gym. I liked the compression therapy enough that I want to see how I feel and recover if I eat first to see what that does to assist my recovery. came to Alex under the pressure of a significant other, who had grown tired of the complaints of my aches and pain. I do not like medical facilities (white coat syndrome) and was very hesitant to go, but I too was tired of the aches and pains. I was a carpenter for about 15 years and also suffered from a really bad motorcycle accident in the past. My current role requires a lot of travel, this too was causing much discomfort as I'm fairly broad chested and would often have to lean to not bother my neighbor on flights. The environment and Alex were both very relaxed and very accommodating. Alex took the time to make sure I was comfortable and answered all the questions I had. He also listened very intently to my complaints and worked with me so that I could understand my pain better. After about a month, I did not consciously realize I was feeling better but I was doing more and complaining less. Things continued to get better but I didn't realize it until Alex did a follow up questionnaire with one of my visits. I was surprised when I wrote down my new numbers regarding pain levels and discomfort. I believe I started around a 7 and was writing numbers around 4. Alex and the office were very accommodating of my schedule as it changes on a whim and I cannot always make my scheduled appointments. Over a year later and I feel a ton better, I lift weights again and the rotation in my right shoulder has changed drastically. (When elevating my elbow to shoulder height I could not lift my hand above my shoulder, I can now rotate it above my head.) I hope this helps convince all you motor cycle riding, construction working, body building tough guys realize you don't need to live in pain. There is way too much going on in the body that we don't realize considering how many different movements, stretches, stress and injury we do to ourselves daily and I absolutely feel that Alex can help you. read more
