We also went up to the observation deck at the top, which was such a fun experience. The view over the city and the Mississippi River was amazing. The only thing I wish is that we had gone at sunset. Boats, fishing gear, camping gear, apparel... there's a fudge shop too. You can eat at Mark and Donny Walhburg's restaurant or stay in the on-site hotel! We didn't take the elevator up to the top for the outdoor balcony view. As of October 2025 it's $8 a person to ride up. Easy to get to and free parking!

It's got housing, business, entertainment, and even the medical facilities that make you well. This was the retail industry giant in its day! When you ordered something from Sears, it mailed from here in Memphis,Tennessee. Now in 1993 it closed. Then after two decades of decay, a visionary stepped in and took over. The building became a living space. A time capsule to the past, but livable for the present. It gave the building a unique future. The building was sick, but now it's just beautiful. The exposed brick walls can be seen and overlap the new safety features to make it have the original design and feel. The interior of this building has a 425 seat theater. That's how large this building is. Why not make it housing, arts center, and all the inclusive space that you would need for your social space and beyond. When in Memphis, Tennessee they are keeping the memories of the past still alive for all to see and remember!

They recently changed their parking system and now have cameras that take your license plate, and it is no longer free unless you are visiting a specific business after 6pm, which is the reason they get 4 stars, and not 5. They got everything from housing, to dining, to entertainment, to fitness/wellness. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

That is how the Bass Pro Shop Pyramid was built. They were going to try and jump the river by chariot from there to go further west. Great success. Look at California now! All lit up! I was told that they don't have any dressing rooms to the public and she just went back to ignoring me - which left me speechless a bit.
