The wedding was June 12th and I think I've looked at the pictures from the wedding every day since. The staff was so nice in making sure that the guest and wedding party were content and happy. The invitation said 6, but the wedding didn't start until 7, but no one seemed stressed about it, so I assumed it was an early time on the invite to make sure people didn't arrive late. There was a cash bar, and while I spent $48 without tip on 4 drinks, I'd happily to it again. They poured up a good drink There was an outdoor patio for standing around while we waited for the ceremony to begin, taking pictures, talking and smoking etc. The wedding was lovely overall and this venue only added to the atmosphere. The food was delicious, there was salmon, chicken tenders, brisket, Cesar salad. The collard greens were not to my tasting, but I'm from the south and nobody makes collards better than my grandmas and aunts. Again....Kelly and her team deserve all the accolades for what was seemingly a stress free wedding environment. I'm not sure of the cost, but the mother of the bride assured me it was reasonably priced for a wedding planned in less than two months.

Everyone loved the gorgeous space and food. I especially loved the private bathrooms and seating areas. The staff was very kind. They printed and set up name cards for me before arrival. Communication prior was great. Everything went well and we had a great time. With the added bartender and outside dessert fee, the total was roughly $105/person for 18 people. This included the pimento cheese board, wedge salad, entree, and small dessert. It is a tiny bit pricey for the size of the entrees, but was worth it for the private space, service, and quality.

We were very lucky, as there were numerous events going on that weekend. So it was crowded. The staff checked on us as soon as were seated and the manager came around also to check on us during the reception. She was so kind and was very attentive. The food there was absolutely amazing. We had salad to start and the entree consisted of beef and chicken, with rice, carrots and green beans. Both, the beef and chicken were so tender and everything was seasoned really well. Drink services are atrocious, I've been there for multiple events and the bar line is always extremely long, super slow and over priced. The bartenders are working hard as best they can but management fails to properly staff the bars with enough people or have multiple bars. I've had events where most people only were able to get one drink the entire evening and call it quits early solely because of the bar. If the Bibb ever gets their bar situation corrected they'd be a 5/5 event center hands down.

Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I would love to be able to describe the…read morerooms and facilities, unfortunately I never got the chance. I travel extensively and I had planned a trip to Columbus with my wife for a special occasion. We much prefer to stay at historic B&Bs for getaways like this, and the Rothschild-Pound House looked like a great choice. Most hotels were booked in town (which maybe should have been a clue as to how there was an available room here). On July 1st, I made a reservation for the 12th at which point my credit card was promptly charged the full amount. The day before I was to arrive, I received a phone message at 6:30am stating that they were having the floors redone and would be cancelling my reservation. I'm not sure how they didn't realize they'd be having the floors done that day until 24 hours beforehand and nowhere on their website or in any correspondence is there a mention of renovations. Their own policy, if I had tried to cancel my reservation, is "Cancelation must be made 14 days in advance of the check-in date. If canceled after that, a 50% credit will be offered for a future stay." I returned the call to see how they would offer to make this right on such short notice and it went straight to voicemail. 6 hours later, I received a call-back from Mamie Pound. Her advice was for me to book at another hotel in Columbus and offered to give me the phone number of the Columbus Marriot. Less than helpful, to say the least. Not even an offer of a 50% credit off of a future stay as per their own policy (not that I would ever actually consider staying here in the future). When I stated the facts back to her, she became very defensive and accused me of arguing with her. (You can see all of the other reviews on-line regarding the owner's defensiveness.) I was in the middle of asking another question when she simply hung up on me. Extremely unprofessional, rude, and no way to build customer goodwill. As of this writing, my credit card still has not been refunded. My advice, if you are traveling to Columbus, is to book your stay elsewhere than at the Rothschild-Pound House. I was forced to.
