The staff was very friendly and available to answer any questions. We were given a tour reminiscent of a much larger university. In fact I was so impressed that if I knew I had the desire and required focus or perhaps if it were 30 years ago, I'd apply and attend. You'll get a mix of good instructors that are good at teaching and good instructors that make the…read moreclass easy but not efficient and then you'll get instructors that are out of touch with how the current aviation industry is (who insist on you doing things their way and not the FAA's way) and then you'll get instructors that don't know anything about the subject that they are teaching. If you're using the G.I. bill, this school will make your G.I. bill cap out even if you qualify for 100% of the benefits and the school won't notify you that they took your tuition assistance to pay for what the G.I. bill didn't cover. They will also schedule your classes randomly, making it so when you have to take a certification test, you have to catch up on course work that you haven't seen in months to even a year. Do yourself a favor and go to Embry-Riddle. Coming from an aviation background, this school had my interest, but after attending for just over a year, it has really killed my desire to want to stay in aviation. Besides all of that, you can make friends and you get a free lunch every three months.

The campus has since improved and relapsed into archaic tradition since I've last seen the beautiful red brick buildings, and I'd like to touch on some things I've noticed. For one thing the Raider center is a great addition to the Sanford/Lake Mary campus and I would go a great way just to work out there were my sciatica and Arthritis not so severe. Geoff and staff are delightful, always making sure to attend to the needs of the patrons and dare I say just so polite to conversate with! However, some areas of campus are far less attractive. One of my biggest qualms is with the bird population. I have been on numerous accounts been followed, harassed, chased, and at times mocked by the so called 'endangered' sandhill cranes. Their evil eyes are most unwelcome in my life and I religiously avoid them at all costs. They seem to know me, and regardless of where I am they always seem to find me. Birds hold grudges... nevertheless they are a dark splotch on the pristine canvas of this institution and were I not an avid PETA enthusiast I would recommend complete annihilation of these terrible creatures. Animals deserve life- but these monsters deserve despair as they have caused me despair all these many years. The campus is beautiful!
