But this place has impressed me beyond words, super friendly and humble staff who make you feel welcome and right at home ! Chris took his time with me, we spent upwards of an hour brainstorming how to cover up a pre existing tattoo from a shop that doesn't exist anymore. After multiple apologies from me about taking up so much of his time, he stopped me and told me "don't apologize, this is exactly what I'm here for !" I LOVE that attitude and can not wait to go back in two weeks to receive some nice artwork !! I highly recommend giving these guys a look !! Update: Received my tattoo tonight, by Chris Kelly. One more session to go !And let me tell you guys something, dead serious, you will not find a better tattoo shop in North Carolina. These guys are absolute professionals, and super friendly, they make you feel like an old friend the moment you walk in. The attention to quality and detail is through the roof, I've been tattooed quite a few times now, and have never encountered as good of an experience as I encountered tonight. I HIGHLY recommend, and if it were possible to rate higher, I absolutely would in a second. The shop is super clean and tidy even to the smallest detail, even the mop bucket had a place !!! Once again, I urge you to go to Heart And Hammer for anything ink related.

My 14 year old daughter went in with my wife and a friend to get her second piercings on her lobes…read more Her friend had the owner pierce her and she was in and out, nice and clean as you'd expect from a piercing shop. My daughter, on the other hand, had someone who was clearly new to the game. She pierced her and then struggled to get the threaded hardware in for 10 MINUTES on one ear with similar challenges on the other. She walked out with blood all over her shirt, one piercing was loose and the other wrenched down so tight she can't turn it, and both bleeding extensively. Wife and daughter left kind of in shock so didn't raise concern at checkout. I called as soon as they got home and spoke with both the piercer and owner. The piercer (apprentice) said she'd never worked with threaded hardware before and apologized. She handed me off to the owner who proceeded to tell me she had in fact used that hardware before and he was sorry if I felt I had a bad experience. Really?? Yes, bad experience and worse than what you get at Claire's at WALMART. Refused to give a partial refund and instead offered me a discount if I got something else done there...sure, that's gonna happen after this experience. Lying and placating, great customer service. I don't blame the apprentice here, rather owner decision to assign them to a new skill on clients without coaching. Strongly suggest going elsewhere based on complaint handling alone, spotty talent levels, and overall quality. Shame on them. Make the right choice here folks, plenty of high quality piercing shops around here besides this one.

We drove 4 hours away to retrieve some personal property of a vehicle they had on location…read more 1. I was in dire need to use the restroom. They told me there was no public restroom and so I had to either use the portapotty or walk across the street. 2. We waited about 20 for them to drive the vehicle out front. 3. As we started taking things out, the young man told us we were not allowed to take anything that was "bolted" down. We continued to unwind the wire wrapped around the ham radio. Notice: it was not bolted or screwed onto the vehicle. The wire was wrapped around and so we were trying to unwrap it. Another man, a much older, larger, and taller man immediately came out and started yelling at us that we need to leave the radio there because it is now property. Hubby was trying to explain that it was not bolted or attached to the car, and the man continued to yell and threaten us that he was calling the sheriff. Of course, things started getting heated up, and eventually we just left. They canceled the sheriff. This experience was both embarrassing and infuriating. I hope no one else experiences this.
