The original construction of this house was not up to the current acceptable standards , and therefore would not be up to code. Dale took photos, and did a live video walkthrough of the attic area so my husband and I could see the problems , and what was needed to repair this structure. My husband is a licensed general contractor. BEWARE! Josh Vanderpool and Dale Randall of JV Contracting are scammers. I needed a repair to my…read moreroof after a neighbor's tree fell on it. They quoted me $9,500 for removing and replacing the broken tiles. Two of them worked for less than 6 hours, used a single roll of the cheapest peel and stick roofing material you can buy (supposedly put over a "snow shield" which is just a thin sheet of metal from what I can tell). When I asked for an itemized list of labor and materials they told me that they have to pay $77K a year for a special license to work on asbestos tiles and that they really needed the check ASAP for payroll. I looked it up after the fact and there is no license that cost that much! I deeply regret paying them.
