Most importantly, he is always on time, considerate of your home space and family, and cleans up each day before he leaves. His work is beautiful. He and Rob did some remodel work on my 1950s home. He removed a load-bearing wall between the kitchen and formal living room (which was never used), gutted an old shower area in the master bath and installed a new shower area, and built a new deck on the back of the house. We had an emergency water leak (that was not related to any of the work) and he and Rob spent a day running a new water line to the house for us. I can't say enough about what a wonderful experience it was have Chris and Rob do the work. . . And, they did it in a timely manner. I highly recommend Finchum Construction!

They took a small and dingy bathroom of mine and widened it, tackling many surprises along the way that most contractors would ask you to specialists for due to their narrow skill set. Instead, we were able to continue making progress (reinforcing joists, replacing cast iron with PVC etc) which resulted in an awesome final product! I asked how long is our project going to take. Without anytime Rob said "6 months." In 6 months he renovated our kitchen, powder room, master bath and expanded our daughter's closet. Paul and his team from Glenn Gate Construction. To say that the total experience from first interview to the project completion was outstanding, would be an understatement. Paul showed up on time for our initial meeting (this was not the case for most of the others), listened to what we wanted in our project, made recommendations we had not thought of and within a couple of days we had a plan and contract. Paul worked with us to stay within our budget and when we had a question, or wanted a change he was quick to respond. But what I liked the best is that he would react to the question/change with the pros and cons, not just "sure we can do that". Paul's team that built our screened porch were craftsmen not just carpenters, and Paul monitored the project almost every day. I would highly recommend that anyone considering any construction project big or small give Paul and Glenn Gate Construction serious consideration.
