I have been shopping with Southern Billiards for a long time even though it is a fairly long drive for me. I could shop on line, but then I would not have the pleasure of working with Scott and Bryan. I not only purchase my pool cue needs and assorted other pool related items from Southern (at a fair price), but I have also sought advice and lessons from Scott and he has always been most helpful and fun to work with, so when it finally came time to purchase a pool table there was no question who I would purchase it from. Leading up to the day when I would have the space and money at the same time Scott has worked with me to help me decide what table would best fit my needs. I was able to actually play on most of the tables I had considered and there was a good assortment of quality used table to choose from. As for the delivery and set-up it could not have been better. They arrived on time and worked quickly, but not haphazard. I could tell that they knew what they were doing probably due to years of experience. They were very considerate of my space and left no mess. They were also personable and a pleasure to be with. The price of the table included the delivery and set-up as well as everything I would possibly need to start playing. In the future I will likely be in need of some advice and supplies now that I have my own table and when I do there is no question whom I will consult and make my purchases from. --Wow!!! My entire experience w/ Southern Billiards exceeded my expectations! I have an 8ft Pool Table (3-piece slate) that I wanted to 1) move from my basement to upstairs, 2) replace the table rail rubbers, & 3) change the felt color from wine to steel gray. After calling 3 other companies w/ astronomical quotes, I contacted SB. They stood out because of their competitive quote & Scott's swift responsiveness despite being short staffed. He carefully listened to my needs & made me feel extremely comfortable choosing his company. On move day, I received a courtesy call with ETA when the SB team was on the way to my home, & they arrived on time. They swiftly disassembled my table, safely moved the heavy pieces upstairs, reassembled, & took the rails to replace the rubber in-house. AND NO dings or damage to my walls or floors. The next day, Scott texted & emailed saying my rails were ready and could be installed the next day. The following day, after another courtesy call with ETA, the team arrived on time & expertly replaced my table felt & installed the refurbished rails. In short, I was exceedingly pleased! I landed at Southern Billiards, Inc. with a Google search after perusing some of the other pool table vendors in the Atlanta area such as Ozone and PoolTables.com. Neither carried Connelly or Olhausen and generally advertise no name brand or mass market tables that are sold on unique designs but poor construction. I knew immediately this was the right place to buy when they recommended a cheaper Olhausen over the Connelly I originally was asking about (apparently Connelly quality has gone downhill.) They offer free delivery/installation, and an amazing Pearson Diamond play kit that includes everything you could possibly need, and at great quality. Since they had the model in stock they were able to get it felted with a Simonis cloth upgrade and delivered in under two weeks. When the table arrived three guys from the store(! not just contracted movers) assembled the table in place, ensuring the slate, frame, rails, and pockets were all aligned and perfectly level. Was a neat process to watch. The table needless to say plays wonderfully. Everyone made the experience a pleasant one and I will not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a new table or maintenance. read more

After the purchase of our new home of which, came with a pool table, my wife and I spotted Southern Billiards in passing. As we entered we were greeted by Steve. Not knowing which questions to ask, he gave us a brief rundown on everything from tables to cues and even darts. So six months later when the tip came off my grandsons cue, it was a no brainer as to where I would take it. As I entered, I was once again greeted by Steve with a smile and a hand shake. I asked could he repair my cues and he asked when I would like them? He said Scott would repair them and have them ready when I came back. When I returned I had my grandson with me and both Steve and Scott introduced themselves to him. Scott told him jokingly that his stick would not miss, but I don't know about you. Steve told him you could play on any open table and as he took some shots he went and gave him some pointers. After looking online I was deciding between a C.L. Bailey table from Southern Billiards and a brand I was more familiar with from another retailer. After visiting both stores I was convinced to go with Southern Billiards. After a conversation with Scott it was clear that he was passionate about pool, and he was able to tell me all about the construction of the CL Bailey pool table as well as the other brand I was considering. In fact he was much more knowledgeable about the other table than the salesman who I was working with at the other store! I am very happy with my decision. We ended up with a great table, lower price, and faster delivery than we would have with the other retailer. We received the table nine days after ordering and the guys that came to install the table were great. One of the rails had a ding in it out of the box so they installed it, took a picture of the ding, and immediately ordered a new rail. We were able to enjoy the table while we waited on the new rail and they came back and installed that today, one week after the original install, at no charge to us. read more

Quality service and care the way it should be! Great service from start to finish! I first spoke to Steve in reference to moving a pool table. He explained the process and got the info to Scott who set up the appointment for the move. Although he said they are generally booked 2 - 3 weeks out, he would try to fit me in since both locations were local. He called and fit me in with a cancelation within a couple of days. On the day of the move, the service team, led by Brad, provided great communication letting us know he was on the way and he was dead on the quoted time. All was unloaded and the rails were taken back to the shop to be repaired. The repair was done quickly and they were back out to complete the set up in a very reasonable time. I had done quite a bit of internet research about used pool tables and was very impressed with the wonderful reviews I found for Southern Billiards. Some emailing took place over the weekend between my husband and Steve, so he knew we were interested in a vintage pool table they had for sale. I walked into the store on Monday and received royal treatment. Scott, the owner and billiards expert, gave me a pool table 101 course, and was able to tell me the "story" of the 60 year old pool table I was interested in after confirming some details with his well-connected network of pool colleagues. On delivery day, the technicians did a great job, especially tolerating my anxiousness about perfectly centering the table in the room... which they did perfectly! They finished up the assembly and re-felting after 7 PM. A long day for them and I appreciate their attention to quality. I highly recommend and trust Southern Billiards for their customer service. I contacted Scott and asked about refelting my pool table. Scott was very informing and walked me through the process in detail. He also assisted me determining my exact table size and type. Then gave me a reasonable quote. I hired them and set an appointment, Leslie and John showed up about 15mns early wearing face mask and gloves. They went to work right away. When stripped down the table they discovered the 2 of the slate pieces were not level and one of cucsions were damaged. They fully explained the damage and just a few dollars they corrected it. I also had quarters underniegth the legs at an attempt to level it. They removed the quarters and professionally leveled it at not extra charge. They then cleaned up everything and checked the ball roll. Awesome job. I would highly recommend them for any pool table needs. Thank you Scott, Leslie and John. Job well done. I cannot say enough good things about Southern Billards! Scott was amazing in making it possible for moving a pool table last minute and overall great with costumers. Leslie and Cody came to disassemble, move, and reassemble the pool table and they were both absolutely awesome and great to work with! Both very friendly, timely, hardworking, knowledgeable and professional. Leslie made it very easy during the entire process in deciding whether to replace the rails/felt and giving great advise on how to achieve the greatest experience out of our table. My last stop should have been my first, which was ok because I wouldn't have had anything to compare my visit to "Southern Billiards" too. I just recently had a pool table installed for a table that I had in lay away . First off let me just say that is amazing for people that don't necessarily have the money up front to pay for a great table . Secondly the staff and installation crew I are awesome. A SHAME I CAN'T GIVE 6 STARS! They were meticulous, accommodating, professional, and thorough to the nth degree. They guided me for weeks before my purchase with pictures, reports and multiple phone calls. When i made my purchase from a neighbor they bent over backward to disassemble and reassemble the pool table in what turned out to be a Saturday evening knowing i had out of town company. i bought a ping pong addition from them and they stayed to assemble, show me how to manage and when factory kit was missing a net they drove back an hr on a Sunday to deliver so we could play.. I had heard by reputation, that these were the people to deal with in this regard. it turns out the reported reputation was in error since it UNDERSTATED what an outstanding company this is. needless to say i recommend them a thousand percent without any hesitation. read more

I decided to take the time to travel to Southern Billiards (2.5 hrs 1 way). I needed a new cue and some restoration work on a cue I've had over 20 years. Steve and Scott could not have been more helpful or Knowledgeable. Not only did I get a brand new McDermott but also some insight into my older generation Lucasi scheduling a full restoration. We talked about the all time greats in the sport. Scott played competitively and knows a lot of the players in addition to being friends with the Lucasi and McDermott owners. I was also privileged to receive some insight into my game specifically breaking. Scott gave 2 suggestions and my breaking has improved considerably. We went to Southern Billiards to purchase new cue sticks. They have the largest and best selection in town! Scott is extremely knowledgeable and the best to work with. We could have hung out their for hours just talking with Scott (he knows everyone and everything billiard related). We did buy two new sticks (Meucci and Players) and are completely happy with our purchase! If you are looking for new sticks, accessories, tables, darts and accessories, and even some electronic games, this is your go to place. They also do repairs! As a beginner I have been overwhelmed trying to research for my first cue purchase. I was afraid to order a cue online and hesitant to purchase one locally without being able to try it first. Visiting Southern Billiards was the right move! The wall of cues is impressive, large, and well organized. I was welcomed in and offered advice based on my needs, then left to look over the options myself...just the way I like it! Once I had a few I was interested in they set me up on a table to chalk up and hit a few balls to compare different cues at my pace.
