She has had no trouble dealing with him, whereas the other veterinarian we went to was clearly afraid of the dog, even though it wasn't aggressive toward him. When they took my dog off the scale it still read .2lbs as they did not tare the scale properly however I didn't pay it any mind. When I came to pick my dog up they told me that 51lbs-80lbs was the next range of pricing and this was going to cost me $100 more. I explained what happened with the scale earlier and asked to speak to the vet. When the vet came out she told me those are the rules and that she would be more then happy to send my dogs file somewhere else if I didn't like it. Pretty appaulling first impression. She could have easily saved a life long customer by simply verifying my concerns instead she was cold and uncaring. If that's how she treated my partner and I it makes me wonder how she treats the animals. Needless to say we will not be going back. Really poor business practices. Also be kinder.

READ TO PROTECT YOUR BELOVED ANIMALS…read more Recently our family took our beloved pet to this clinic as he had drank some fluid, that in large amounts, was toxic. We didn't know how much he drank, so we thought we would rather be safe than sorry. We called several vets around the area and Highview was the one vet that seemed more than confident in treating him, as we caught it early enough the vet assured us it wasn't a worry, and that he would be just fine. Filling us with positivity and trust, she assured us he would be fine. He was to be treated with an IV for two days. When we realized the vet had put him in the back room unseen and unheard, behind closed doors, we made it a priority to stay by his side as we wanted someone to be there in case something happened. Day two rolled around and he looked quite out of it but the vet assured us he was doing just fine. We were to pick him up in the following morning and we're told they were closing so we'd have to come back in the morning to pick him up. With a seemingly lack of care for an animal we obviously thought the world of, he was not checked on near often as he should have been considering the medication they were giving him. Vets and helpers were always sitting in the common area talking, not watching the one animal being treated in the entire office. I got a call that morning saying he had passed away. The sweetest, kindest, most resilient animal I have ever seen. That our family loved so dearly. Was gone. At 5 and a half months old. We found out it wasn't the fluid he drank that he passed from, it was a severe overdose of medication. There was no attempt to help him as he was going downhill, and the part that hurts the most, is they had several ways to reverse the effects of the medication, but they left him there alone, with no one to help the sweet little guy. And for that we can never forgive the vet nor the business. For taking away a loved one we had put in the arms of a careless vet. For those of you who read this, think about how much you love your furry big or little animals before you put them into the hands of someone who wouldn't treat them near as carefully as you or your family. And I wish no one else has to go through the physical and emotional pain our family has. You have taken away a member of our family. Our hearts are all missing a big piece, someone we cannot replace or forget, and so young. Rest In Peace Boo-Bear You'll never be forgotten

This one by far has the slowest service and most incompetent staff. The receptionist asks you what's wrong with the animal when you call to book an appointment. That's totally fine and normal. Then when you arrive at the clinic the receptionist asks again about your pet. You answer her questions then she tells you a vet tech will call you back. You wait in your car for another 15 minutes then the vet tech calls you and asks repetitive questions about your pet that should already be in the file. Then you go in and wait again until the vet finally sees you and then she asks all the same questions that the first receptionist and vet tech already asked to verify what's in the file. Really?! What a complete waste of time. And when you try to give this feedback to the vet she is defensive and says that's just their policy and if I don't like it I can go elsewhere. Yeah I think I'll do just that. Completely rude and terrible customer service. My neighbour warned me about this clinic. She said it was fine years ago but awful now. I would strongly recommend people go elsewhere.

Our bunny did pooped normal pallet-droppings other than the soft ones, and his dropping did appeared to be in a smaller amount. We should have just gave him more high fiber hay and monitored him at home instead of taking him to Dr. Eva, since our other bunny got much better this way without seeing that vet. Dr. Eva recommended that our bunny undergo tests and treatment which included blood work, x-ray; she and her vet-tech told us that the sedative medication that they would use on our bunny (to sedate him so that he would be easier to handle) would not hurt him. We blindly trusted these "professionals" as we were overwhelmed by fear of our bunny getting into GI stasis (the vet surely had strike this fear in us in her words), and we lost our beloved bunny because of the sedative medication they used on him and these unnecessary tests. We should have never trusted Dr. Eva and her technicians! We should have never brought our bunny to Dewinton Pet Hospital! We should have remembered that Dr. Eva had recommended us at the end of April 2023 to trim our bunny's nails by 1/4 inch, and if he bled, she said to just dip his paws in flour or baking soda. What cruel advice it was! We are heart-broken because we were blinded by our fear and left our beloved bunny in these people hands to die. DO NOT bring your bunnies to see Dr. Eva Hadzima in Dewinton Pet Hospital! This vet did not even have the professionalism to talk to us in person herself about the potential danger of the sedative drug and the details about how our little boy bunny died under her care during the tests. Moreover, she report non-factually on our bunny's medical report, things that she said to us in the exam room that day (Dec. 10, 2023) was inconsistent with her report. We will give this vet zero star we could. Stay away from this pet clinic!

Dr. Eva and her vet techs and this clinic claims to be an exotic clinic and they claims to know how to treat bunnies; but they killed my beloved bunny and they actually had no clue about what they were doing.
