    A Heartfelt Thank-You to Jennifer…read more After being confined to bed for more than a week due to complications from stage 4 cancer, I found myself in an incredibly difficult situation. At 53, I never expected to face anything like this--especially the episode on December 4th, when the pain in my stomach and head became overwhelming. On top of that, after three days of back-and-forth with the Bank of America Fraud Alert team, I was told I had to visit a financial manager in person before any Zelle or ACH payments could be released. With rent due on the 1st and my account essentially frozen, I had no choice but to go in despite how unwell I felt. That's when Jennifer at the Clark Road Branch in Sarasota, Florida, stepped in and completely changed the experience. From the moment I walked in, she treated me with genuine kindness, patience, and care. Her soft voice, her compassion, and her immediate willingness to take action meant more than she knows. She recognized how sick and exhausted I was, and she handled everything swiftly, professionally, and with true understanding. I've been a Bank of America customer for 26 years, and knowing that Jennifer has been with the bank for 27 makes perfect sense--she embodies exactly what customer service should be. Then she laid it on thick that she has 25 years of experience with the bank and so knows only BofA. Great, so this is how you treat walkins at BofA?

    Liberty bank offered a 3% interest on their accounts and bait and switched it to almost zero and it…read moremaking it so it cost you to have an account there. It is not free, trust me. I am writing them a check for $50 as we speak jsut to be able to access and close my account. They took the remaining funds in my account, suspended my account, and charged overdraft fees without any notification. They work just like the IRS and charge penalties without your knowledge. Please be careful if you have overdraft protection, it does not apply to low balance. If you do not regularly access your account they will suspend your access to it without your knowledge and back charge you. Please consider this when you make your banking choice upcoming that they should not be on your list. Their phone lines auto hang up on you, and they do not call you back if you leave a message. Be prepared to wait and be prepared for no mercy fees and overdraft fees without your knowledge. be prepared to write them letters and send them payment for their accounts. Be prepared to check your account for fees daily.

I allege that Gary the manager wasn't even looking at the papers I was presenting to him - because when I'd go to follow up, he acted like it was the first time he was seeing them. The last time it happened, I went to the President who said he trusted the manager. Even after I got court papers stating to release funds to me, they attempted to pull funny business writing out a check to my late Mother. Fortunately, I was trustee, so could cash the check. Since that happened, I just keep hearing similar stories. Absolute power corrupts. My new bank is like night and day.
