I love working with Dr. Davila, but the supporting crew at his front desk leave a lot to be desired. I called to make an appointment. Because we rolled over to a new calendar year, they wanted my insurance info. It was the same, so I didn't bother having my card when I made the call. I told the woman that they already had it, and there was no change. She claimed they delete it all at the end of the year. I sat on hold for 10 minutes to speak to someone just to get an appointment, and the office policy to delete my insurance becomes my problem to go get my card in the parking lot at work. I call BS. If they had some sort of issue or follow up they needed to do with my insurance from my late December visit, I guarantee they could find my insurance information. Poor processes get in the way of good physicians. read more

The Pasadena Office answers their phone, however, I wanted to see a Dermatologist at the Astoria Office for re-piercing my ears. I left a voice mail message on Friday, no return call, tried again on Thursday and could not reach anyone by phone. So, I'm back to my previous Dermotologist across town. Very frustrating. read more

Every time I deal with them, there's an issue. I am on a prescription that requires yearly blood draws or they won't refill it with the pharmacy. Its not until the refill is declined that I'm aware I'm due to go back. Every other doctor I've seen in my life has reminded me when I'm overdue but for some reason, this office can't. Their policies are antiquated and the staff isn't helpful - even verging on rude sometimes. They just make things so much harder than they have to, when there are countless other facilities that actually want to help and make it easy to do so. read more

Dr. Isha Lopez left me disfigured, unable to put my hands together to change my baby daughter's diaper, unable to brush or wash my own hair and didn't get all the bad skin and called me a week later to open it all up and cut deeper the next time. I can't golf my skin is so tight even though it has been more than 2 years. I have severe pain. My kids are all scared of my huge 2x5 thick white scar and constantly ask my what happened and why would someone do that to me. I wish I never met her. Maybe she's good for Botox and acne (but I doubt it). I never ever should have let her cut on me. read more

I've been to both locations & both experiences were almost the same. The doctors are EXTREMELY nice. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and not rushed. However, the staff is AWFUL. They're rude, short, and unwelcoming. The last time I was in the person who checked me in and out were both extremely unfriendly/unwelcoming. Aside from that, I specifically asked to change my pharmacy and they still sent my prescription to the wrong store. Unfortunately I've called 3 times during regular business hours to try and get this resolved but no one answers. Apparently I can wait up to 24 hours for a response, which isn't happening because I need my prescription now. I suppose I'll be picking up my prescription from an inconvenient location. read more

Staff was ok but I would definitely not recommend dr. Leis she was very rude and abrupt made me feel very uncomfortable, her bedside manner was nowhere to be found. Also she was very dismissive of other products except the ones she knew of in a very rude tone I might add. I felt like it was a very rushed appointment and I couldn't even think to ask any questions because of how fast she was talking. Very overwhelmed. She also gave me a Neutrogena Face wash with fragrance to use. I am unsure as to why anyone would want to use fragranced skincare but needless to say it broke out my face worse than before and it also burned my skin like most fragranced products do to me. I would definitely not recommend and will be seeking somewhere else, just sucks that I wasted a $55 co pay for this horrible experience. read more

I took my son in for a visit and during that visit Dr. Hunt noticed that I had psoriasis on my arms. She kindly suggested that I make an appointment for myself and give her the chance to help me clear it up. I made the appointment and started a new medication. My skin has cleared up so much and I cannot believe it. I have MS and can no longer use Biologics..so I basically gave up... but she suggested I try the Otezla...and I am so Happy that she cared enough to ask if she could try and help. Had my second visit with Dr. Isha Lopez. She is absolutely incredible. Always seems relaxed and not in a rush. Helped make me feel more comfortable too. SE Dermatology has some other good doctors, but Dr. Lopez is definitely my favorite. I can't say enough good things about her. I highly recommend anyone needing a dermatologist go see Dr Lopez. So sad that I'm having to write the review. I have been a patient of Dr. Davila since I was 11 years old due to being diagnosed with eczema. I am now almost 24 years old and having to leave his practice due to his front desk staff. They all feel so entitled to just talk to patients however they want or feel like. Every month I would call each woman would speak to me unprofessionally wether I was trying to make an appointment or had a question about my medication, blood results, or sending a message to the nurse. It's sad to say that this clinic has now developed a low class customer service for loyal and new patients. Despite of lack of customer service, I would most definitely say Dr. Davila is one the best dermatologist in the Houston area. I will forever thank him for his meaningful time and worries about my skin problems. However, the stressful and disrespectful treatment the front staff have given me is no longer worth the time anymore. read more

Seriously, this is my first time trying to make an appointment here and I'm furious. I have been calling since about 10 this morning and NO ONE answered. I finally pressed to talk to someone about a medical question, she asked if I left a message and I told her no, this is my first time and I don't want to leave a voicemail, she was rude to me and transferred me to the same damn line I've been calling all morning which STILL WENT TO VOICEMAIL. We have been waiting over an hour right now for appointment. Ridiculous.

I have been here several times for my son and myself. The doctors do good work, however I am still sitting here waiting at 10:57 for my son's 10:15 appointment. It's frustrating because we arrived early, did paperwork and got checked in all before the appointment time yet here we are. Maybe they are running behind, which I get, but it seems more like an overbooking issue seeing as how the waiting room is packed and there are 4 doctors here. Hopefully we get in soon because I'm about ready to walk out! read more

I am very displeased with the service at this location. The receptionist was blatantly rude and short to me and my father upon arrival. Along with the hostility from the receptionist, we also received very rushed service. The Doctor did not take the time to ask me any questions or examine what was wrong. Everyone seemed as though they were too busy for their patients and gave the impression that me being there was an inconvenience. read more

***Update Review/Next Day*** I was contacted by phone the next day from the Office Manager in regards to my office visit at Southeast Dermatology - Pasadena from the day before. She kindly apologized to me about the patient portal mishap at check-in and asked me if I would be interested in coming into the Pasadena office today for an appointment with another Doctor. I thanked her for calling me and gladly accepted the appointment for today and was seen by Doctor M. Garman at 16:30. Doctor Garman also apologized to me and informed me that all Staff Members have been notified about proper check-in/patient portal procedures. I know, "I said I would not return under any conditions to the Pasadena location" but that was YESTERDAY. After the sincere apology from the Office Manger and Doctor Garman I'm very satisfied with the resolution from the previous visit. Check-in and the office visit both went well. I will be returning for my 2 months follow-up. So, I have upgraded my number of Yelp stars on my review post. read more

I would like to say that I have been here a few times and they all have been good except for this last visit. The receptionist there are nice and welcoming. The doctors were polite and helpful and listen to what you had to say and answered any question you had. Now, this last time I went was what really upset me that I felt I needed to write a review in hopes that any doctor in general reading this can keep that in mind next time they have a patient. We the patients are already going in with fear of having something and we are already stressed out about it before we even walk in threw those doors. We don't want a doctor who is rushing us and doesn't let us explain our situation or how it happened. Being interrupted while I'm trying to ask a question and talking over me makes me feel like they are there just for there paycheck rather then trying to help us. We want to feel comfortable and safe knowing we are being listened to, treated correctly, and in the right hands. Now I'm not sure if it was because I had a late appointment and they had other stuff to do, or was ready to go home but that was not acceptable. read more
