I did have an injection at one of the regular clinics, it's was horrendous, I felt like screaming, it was my S.I. joint, I was shaking all over, this doctor had no clue. The doctor I see now is a million times better then Doctor Clueless. Now I will only go to a Diagnostic Imaging Center and ask for my same doctor. Well, I've learned my lesson, if the pain becomes intolerable, you, (the patient should stop the procedure). The pain should actually not become intolerable. You need a doctor that specializes in this procedure. I also had an injection in my thumb joint, it was horrible, this again was done by just the orthopedist surgeon, at the clinic, again clueless. The injection didn't help much anyway. These doctors should send their patients to those who special in this procedure, if that's all their looking for is more money from these procedures, then they are not a good doctor. I know of a few other people that have had horrible experiences with these procedures, their orthopedic surgeon did them. One of my daughters had an injection in her Rotator Cuff, she started to cry, her doctor told her some men actually pass out. The American Medical Association needs to take a closer at these procedures, and recommend Diagnostic Imaging Centers.

I left without having my 2 scheduled MRIs, due to poor communication from Rayus prior to my appt. & due to a bad feeling I got from both the receptionist and the "technician" (I question if she really is a licensed technician, she was made up like a...well, I won't say it). Suffice it to say...unprofessional! I trust my "gut feelings", they're rarely wrong! If your Dr. wants to send you to Rayus, just say no!

BEWARE! I was told upfront that the charge for a calcium…read morescan was $175.00 and that my insurance would not pay for this scan. I paid $175 for the service at the time of my appointment in November 2024. A few weeks later Rayus submitted a claim to my insurance company for $531.12, which was denied but paid by my FSA account. I never provided nor authorized Rayus to contact my insurance - why would I - I paid for the service at the time of the appointment. After many, many frustrating phone calls to Rayus the charge to my FSA account was eventually reversed. I still dont know why Rayus charged an additional $531.12. When I questioned this no one at Rayus could tell me what the charge was for. Then in Feb 2025, I received a check from Rayus for $531.12. I have not cashed the check because I am not due this money. I have made many attempts to contact Rayus customer service to try to resolve this and return their check. Then in May 2025 I received a letter from a collection agency stating I owe $531.12. I called the collection agency on 5/18 and 5/29 and explained this mess and also told them I have an uncashed check from Rayus made payable to me for the amount they are stating I owe. The collection company reps were understanding but said they said they cant resolve the matter because no one from Rayus is following up with them. I don't know how a company like Rayus stays in business. They are not ethical. And their customer service is a joke. Beware!

On Tuesday, May 30, 2017, I had an appointment at 7:30 AM at Suburban Imaging. My doctor and I have…read morebeen trying to figure out what is causing some health issues, so he ordered a CT scan. From the phone call to set up the appointment, to picking up the contrast for the test, to the exam itself, the service, professionalism and respect that was shown from all the people with whom I interacted was first-rate. When you're getting an unfamiliar exam, it's nice to have people put you at ease. The facility is easy-to-get-to, super clean (VERY important to me!), and there was a nice private room where you can change and lock up all your personal belongings. The exam itself was easy, and not like what I thought. It wasn't a complete chamber, but it wasn't as loud as what I thought CT scanners would be. Again, this piece of equipment was more like a donut. Mmmm. Donuts. I wish I could remember the name of the person who helped me with the exam. She was so professional, friendly, and kind. It made the entire process, including the IV, more pleasant for me. I truly appreciate it. And to top it all off, three days later, I received a thank you card in the mail that was signed by two people from Suburban Imaging. You don't see that every day from healthcare facilities!

I really wanted to give a shout out for the technician/doctor Tim (I didn't catch the title- he just gave me his first name but wore a white lab coat). Not only did he smile but made me feel absolutely comfortable by going thru what the process was, letting me know they were running behind, telling me it's absolutely ok if I needed to push the call button during the MRI if I was feeling uncomfortable at all. He just really went above and beyond compared to other services I've had of this type. If you have to get and MRI- I'd highly recommend this place!

Dr. Hartsough took over midway through a medical issue that I was dealing with. The first thing…read morethat I noticed about him is that he listens and thinks before he speaks. If only all men did that!! (only kidding, boys...) He is very old school and thoughtful. My condition ultimately led me to need surgery and he and his staff were absolutely top notch. The care and compassion that they showed were really touching and helped me see the rainbow through all of the clouds. In the recovery room after the surgery, I teased one of the nurses about wanting a mimosa. A short time later, the nurse showed up with a cup of ginger ale and orange juice- it was pretty funny. His office is also impeccable with following up. Every test that I had done was promptly followed up with a phone call to communicate my results, most of the time within 24 hours. They sent me home with reading materials and information on support groups for people dealing with the same type of issue. They absolutely went the extra mile to make me feel like they cared. He also has later appointments a few times a month. I had to go in tonight and was able to get a 6 pm appointment with him and then was seen immediately in the lab. I've got to admit, old school thoughtfulness and compassion go a long way in healthcare.
