    Roger's Antenna Service

    Roger's Antenna Service

Roger did an excellent job with a Starlink internet installation in Outer Cape Cod. Previously, the…read moreonly Internet option available was DSL. It would have cost $70,000 per mile to expand fiberoptic cable to the home. Other local satellite companies said it wouldn't be possible to have the necessary line-of-sight to their satellites. Starlink was our last hope. The job was complicated by the fact that we were coordinating the logistics from 500 miles away. The location of the install was challenging - a fairly remote, sparsely populated location with significant tree canopy. Roger helped the whole way through - from guiding us to purchase the proper equipment from Starlink, speaking with an arborist to help us with tree cover issues, and explaining his approach as he performed the work. He used a 5 ft. tripod and an additional 10 ft. pole to mount the Starlink dish on the roof. That gave it enough clearance from the tree canopy to pull in a strong signal. Internet speeds were as fast as 260 Mbps down and 30 Mbps up. This compared to 4 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up with DSL previously. Needless to say, we're quite pleased with this result. Roger is clearly an expert at his craft. He's been in business for 46 years. He also has a great work ethic. He spent a significant amount of time on the roof in 95-degree heat. He didn't stop until the job was done. The cable run into the home was efficient, and he cleaned up impeccably after his work. And he's a nice guy to boot. Worth every penny!

I am very dissatisfied. There was a male employee (I would know if I saw him) that sold my twins…read morenew iPhones around the tax-free weekend time last year. He tells me that the insurance is great I should get it as a family that it's only $100 deductible I just bring the phone in they swap it out at the store. I can give them my old phone. He tells me my Moto Z4 was a dinosaur that if I wait a month after getting an insurance I could crack the screen and bring it in and they could just swap it out for a more updated version. Of course I didn't do that I held on to my phone until recently after owning it for years the screen was broken and it turned blue and I can no longer use it. I go into the Verizon store where that employee was working that day and another employee tells me I have to go through asurion to use the insurance. My phone broke on a Friday. I went in first thing Saturday morning. They tell me I cannot get an overnight on the weekend that I had to wait until Monday so I went from Friday night until Monday around 4:00 pm without a phone. The phone I received was the same dinosaur still a 4G and it works way worse than my previous phone worked glitching out shutting off when I push on things and not responding. When I called up asurion they said oh we have a one year warranty as long as it's not damaged but will again send you the same phone. Keep in mind this was the same dinosaur of a phone. Long story short it's not worth getting the insurance in fact I would recommend you going to Walmart buying $100 or $150 phone and not getting locked into one of their contracts. Just get the insurance from Walmart and in fact you can sign up at spectrum where it's cheaper to have a phone plan than Verizon they just get you looped in so you can never get out of there plan with these contracts just deception all around if you have insurance trust me it's not worth it. I give him two stars because it's clean at the store.

Not a big deal I thought, he just cares about his customers. We had originally decided to meet in december to have my television calibrated, but something personal came up on his end and he had to cancel. Not a big deal since I was having some financial troubles and didn't mind waiting until things got better. I told him I would get ahold of him when they did, likely in the spring. I contacted him in the spring to let him know I was still interested, but didn't have the money then and I would contact him later on when I did. A couple months later in the summer I emailed him to schedule an appointment for the fall. When I did this, he then quoted me a much higher price than he did in the winter, and said he needed to be paid all of it up front. I did not have the money to do this, so I said "Unfortunately I don't think I can afford it right now. I'm heading back to school in September, and thought I would have the extra funds but it's looking like I won't. I don't mean to waste your time. I hope you will be available in a couple of years when I finish and am working in a field where I will be more financially stable." His response was "I appreciate your honesty, but the fact is you did cause me to waste valuable time and effort responding to your on and off again quest to get your TVs calibrated. That's why I insisted on a pre-appointment deposit because I was very concerned about you changing your mind. I do wish you well and hope that you achieve financial stability." I found this reply to be rather rude and hypocritical considering he was the one who initially cancelled our original meeting, and costed me 100 dollars on my phone bill. I let him know this, and he told me to grow up. So yeah. Those are the facts.

After…read moretalking to the customer service representative, it was determined that we needed an updated box since we have had the same receiver box since 2010. An appointment was set up for Monday December 31st. We received a phone call on Sunday night stating that the appointment would have to be cancelled as the technician did not have a receiver box (which I believe is necessary for any Direct TV customer) and the earliest they could come was Thursday, Jan. 3rd. We continued to have problems with the sound on our receiver (which was the original problem that caused us to purchase a new television) We contacted customer service again and the earliest appointment we can get is Monday January 7th. After spending over 300 dollars for a new television and missing work as they did not call until the night before to cancel we are told that we will have to wait a week and a half to resolve this problem. I feel that it is poor customer service as we called on December 27th and they set us up as a priority and got an appointment within 2 days and then appointment cancelled the night before. We missed work and when calling customer service stating that they could not help us even though the equipment that they supposedly was out of was a common piece of equipment that any customer needs. After being a customer for over 20 years I feel that is is a disgrace as to how they treat their long standing customers
