Customer service was fantastic. Came here to begin my…read moresearch for a new car- something that I was daunted by and knew would entail hearing lots of words I didn't understand and spending lots of money I knew I didn't have. The staff here were happy to help- even when they knew I wouldn't be buying that day and happy to explain everything in layman's terms (and I mean layman's!) They actually listened to what I wanted, were realistic with what I could afford and what they had, and didn't come across as sleazy or dodgy like a cars salesman can. They gave me some brouchers, let me talk to their finance guy and treated me like a human being. Would definitely trust to buy my first adult car off.

This company has no care for loyal customers. They discontinued Wash for Life from 1 March 2023 but…read moredid not bother notifying customers. After driving there I was told a strict No, no exceptions to get a car wash. I understand they may have valid reasons for that but we are in September, was it so difficult to send an SMS or an email or a letter to customers who have this service in their contract of sale? Why should we waste time and petrol driving there to find out reading a billboard? We are long term customers, with the whole family buying cars/vans from them and doing service there since 2004! They will never see us again.

The car stalled on the highway which caused extreme panic, as cars drove by at extreme speeds and I thought I would lose my life should someone crash into me. i am so glad that I did not have my children with me. There were many occasions where lights would flash on the dashboard and I even sent videos and photos of what was happening to only be running back and forth to the dealership. The lack of loyalty to their customers is atrocious in this day and age. I haven't even been reimbursed cost for an uber home because a car that is in good "nick" had to be driven to the nearest dealer to be looked at. I wouldn't even give them 1 star, they are terrible, cars are not worth the buy and the team have a do not care attitude. DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR VEHICLE FROM TOYOTA BRIGHTON- DAYLIGHT ROBBERY !

I'm sure these guys are as nice as pie when you're paying the asking price and lapping up every…read moreline they feed you. Unfortunately I discovered that anything else earns you generous helpings of salesmanship best summed up as dismissive catchall statements, belittlement and if you persist, actual derision - all on a solid base of good old condescending "we've been doing this for 35 years so we know best". If you're absolutely confident of the price and product - and don't take their word for it - then and only then go ahead. Good general advice of course, illustrated by the following experience. I arrived to inspect a vehicle described in the ad as "a totally polished package... exceptionally well maintained... without a doubt one of the best looking (insert marque)'s (sic) we have seen as it has been kept in exceptional condition". What I discovered was a car covered in stone chips except for the suspiciously fresh front bumper, faded plastics indicating outdoor storage and a barely working driver's door handle (I thought I was locked out!), leaking tyre and repeated system-failure warning messages flashing on the dash. The reaction I received from the salesman in a follow up conversation for pointing out these shortcomings on my expectations and offering what I considered an appropriate price reduction, led me to wonder if I had inadvertently insulted his grand mother. After he applied the aforementioned sales techniques, I was amazed to hear him admit he had subsequently driven the vehicle over 20 kms on the deflated tyre I had pointed out to him. He also identified a comparable age and mileage vehicle on the market, and when I pointed out that it was significantly cheaper and came with a three year warranty, his response was to point out it was in Queensland. I still don't know what he has against Queensland. So determined was this man to deny any word I was saying, that four days after my pointing out the vehicle didn't have running boards as advertised, the ad wasn't modified! I couldn't help being reminded of the Monty Python Norwegian Blue "he's not dead, he's just sleeping!" skit. The follow-up email exchange earned me further derision, a veiled threat and worse a total lack of any justification of his value proposition. I wondered if it was perhaps just one particular salesman. However, a conversation with the owner of the business, Richard, confirmed for me that it is the company culture when he defended the salesman involved and actually accused me of lying about observing the warning messages. Remarkably having demonstrated his receptiveness to news of mechanical issues, in the same breath he pointed out that they would have to fix any mechanical failings under their generous statutory three-month warranty offering. Indeed.

Do not trust these guys for one second. Not even a split second. I contacted them them via…read moreCarsales.com.au about a vehicle that they had available. On Friday, the salesman Stuart said that the car was under finance application by another person, but it was likely they would be denied, so they reposted the car and invited me to see it. I drove to their dealership (which is nice as they obviously make big money off their clients), and saw the car which seemed great. We were told by Stuart that the previous persons finance application was denied. So we negotiated a price (painfully) and we're introduced to their finance contact Michael at Simply Finance. We discussed finance options and decided to move forward with one of his recommendations. They were closed Sunday, and on Monday we had collected all of the documents necessary for the finance. I messaged Stuart that we had submitted all of the materials and we're excited to get the car. THIS IS WHERE IT UNRAVELS... Stuart never messaged me back, I call him, no response. I call finance, no response. I call Stuart again, no response. I get a text message back on Tuesday saying that he's in Thailand on holiday. That's it, he's on holiday full stop. I ask him who's taking over our deal, no response. Hours later I get a message that says for me to call the dealership and see if the car is still available!? I call the dealership, ask about my car that I put a finance application to, and the receptionist has no idea who I am. She tells me that the car I was calling about was sold to another woman and then gives me her full name. I tell her she must be wrong and that I need to speak with the owner or someone who knows what's going on. (ps. She probably broke some privacy laws by telling me this woman's name, and also having the dealership tell me that she was having extreme issues securing a loan, being denied 3 times - if i was her I'd be pissed.) Forwards me to some guys named Richard. Richard is going to find out what's happening and call me back in 15 min.... well, you guessed it, no call back. Next day Wednesday I call him again, he's not in until 11am, leave a message. No call back. Call again in the afternoon, he's with other clients. No call back. So now it's Thursday, Richard calls me back at 5pm end of day - he sold the car to someone else just that day - apparently to the woman who's credit was declined 3 times and miraculously it went through after another attempt. Meanwhile I thought I purchased the car and subsequently made an unnecessary credit application. I'm furious, he basically sold the car to several people and went with the best and highest price tag. This dealership is the epitome of shady car salesmanship. They claim to be these experts, yet the only thing they seem to be expert at is fraudulently double selling a car and using questionable sales tactics. Do not buy a car from them, they are not trustworthy or offer any form of transparent communication. Consider yourself warned.
