The South Unit Visitor Center is located as soon as you drive through the entrance on the left. We were provided with a map when we drove in, although if you are not provided one at this time, you can get one inside the visitor center.
There are volunteers that are helpful and can answer any questions you have about the park. There are signs outside that share more about Theodore Roosevelt.
There is a 36 mile loop that you can drive around and take in the scenic landscape views and views of the wildlife. There are trails you can take in addition if you are feeling more adventurous.
The visitor center has plenty of parking, bathrooms are in good condition, and it has a water station near the restroom so you can fill up your refillable water bottle if you are running low on water. read more
