I've received excellent care from Dr. Ryan Thomas and his clinical team over the years--easily five-star quality. However, that experience was significantly undermined when I recently needed to schedule a follow-up appointment after an emergency room visit for my thumb. The front office staff at STB&J were unhelpful and made it unnecessarily difficult to secure timely follow-up care. For a situation involving a hand injury that had already required ER attention, that lack of responsiveness is unacceptable. Because of this, my overall rating for the practice drops to two stars. Strong physicians are only part of the equation--access to care when it matters is just as critical, and in this case, the practice fell short. read more

We have been patients of Dr. Borkowski, Dr. Thompson, and Dr. Larkins beginning in 2019. They have all been outstanding gentlemen, excellent surgeons, compassionate, caring, and efficient! The ancillary staff have been outstanding and have provided quality patient care. Office personnel have always been efficient, friendly, professional and business like. We will not use any other orthopedic practice in this area. I have severe osteoarthritis resulting in a number of surgeries; neck and back fusion and bilateral hip replacement. My wife needed a total ankle replacement. Outcomes have been excellent and we are both pain free in those areas surgically repaired. read more

This was my initial visit. I have several issues with my back dating over 10 years. When I started to tell Dr. Borokowski about medical history his exact words were "i don't have time to listen to 10 years of history " .I had it all condensed down because I know they are busy. I was 30 miss EARLY so how in the hippa violation do you not have time to listen to a new patients history, which most likely contributes to my issues. Great facilities, he may be a good surgeon but his bedside manner is atrocious. I am sick to my stomach about it hours later. I did not get the care I needed from this person. read more

Dr Borkowski was intense and short with me speaking with me both visits. I felt uncomfortable even trying to have a discussion. His bedside manner definitely needs some work. Went to him because people have told me he is good at neck surgery. Patients need compassion and good communication and ease to ask questions. Especially when they have chronic pain. read more

The first time I saw Dr. Thompson about my left hip he said to me "I see you are a strong women because of the pain you are in.".He told me that he could help me. I set up surgery for a replacement of my left hip. He did just what he said, he took my pain away. I'm so thankful for his kindness and ability to take my pain away. it's been 3 months since my surgery and I'm walking and go up and downstairs without pain and feel normal again. UNSAFE CLINIC FOR WOMEN! Astonishingly Unprofessional and Dangerous Advice I recently visited Dr(?) Ryan Thomas seeking help for a torn wrist ligament and a ganglion cyst, and I left absolutely appalled. Instead of providing any meaningful medical advice or treatment plan, the doctor suggested childbirth as a remedy. Yes, you read that right--childbirth. This thumb provided "advice" that was not only irrelevant but shockingly unprofessional and dismissive of my actual medical issue. It demonstrated a complete lack of understanding or concern for my condition. I came in for help with my wrist, not to receive absurd suggestions that have no basis in medicine, science or logic. Doctors are supposed to offer care grounded in science and empathy, neither of which I experienced here. Unless you are looking to hear childbirth as a remedy to all your medical issues, I would strongly advise anyone considering this physician to look elsewhere for competent medical care. read more

First impressions are important. First appointment and a few herniated disk stand in a line to confirm my arrival for my 12 pm appointment at 1135. 4 reception desk with one receptionist working a full line of obviously injured people with broken legs and bad backs standing in line to check in for 25 minutes! Maybe and hear me out. Get a number machine so the Injured people could sit down while reception catches up to being over worked. Food for thought. Still in line as I write this. Hopefully he dr is better. Well after waiting an hour after my scheduled appointment I was finally taken to a second waiting room where I decided this game was enough. This place sucks. Dr. Rodriguez is five star all the way Unfortunately, the office staff, particularly the main operator and the appointment desk make it very difficult to see the doctor. They do not return calls, they make excuses, and now they tell stories that aren't true. Total knee replacement one year ago.. Very bad experience for me..Barley can walk and fall for no reason. Won't name the surgeon..Its a crap shoot at the butcher shop.. I had my leg amputated and was in pain and just got Tylenol 3 . My reaction was shock when they made me feel like a druggie because of my pain. This place is a horrible place to go. Please find someone else to help you. These people only have one thing on their mind is money. They don't care about your feelings and are very cold hearted people. Beware!!!!! read more

I've never been treated so badly by a physician office as I was by this one. I was NOT prescribed any pain medication post surgery. When I asked for something I was treated like and accused of being a drug seeker. I went for my post op appointment and sat there for over 2 hours without being seen by a provider. From the day my husband had surgery a year ago, till today...I can't pay enough compliments to the doctors and staff. Their attention to detail is extremely important and our Dr Thompson went over and beyond to assure we we're informed at all times. From the hospital to the rehab facility we kept in touch. As we started making office visits, we were equally impressed! it's great to have a cover over the drop off area. And what a beautiful and spotless facility they have. When the line was a little long, it went quickly with very nice and knowledgeable receptionists. Depending on the time of day, we would expect a longer wait time, however so far it's never exceeded 30 minutes. We are very fortunate to have such excellent doctors right here in Corpus and not having to travel anywhere! Thanks so much read more

They are on their A game. There was always at least one person sanitizing door knobs, chairs, etc.. everyone was 6 feet plus apart in the waiting rooms. Dr. Breckinridge is SO good at his work! Wife had her knee replaced by Klimisch, only good thing to say is the scar looks good. He has no bed side matter. Yelled at the wife that she wasn't doing her post op exercises, as retired military she knows how to follow orders. His post op physical therapy orders don't work. Not being active for the first two weeks after the operation and just doing stretching actually puts recovery time back. She had to have the manipulation and after it was done, never heard from Klimisch or anyone from the clinic, ever. Felt bad for the physical therapists as they wanted to do more but had to follow his bad orders. We left the area and went to another clinic and she is doing great being in the care of someone else. As for the new location, the clinic isn't close to the waiting area. The parking lot needs to have the handicap parking closer to the entrance and more of them. read more

If I could put zero I would. Worse place I have ever been to. I saw three docs there a few times. First your treated like an idiot when you go in. No one in line and I didn't go all the way around to the green line. Rude gal. Then you wait for four hours sometimes to get in. Always long wait with appt too. People in braces and casts and on scooters. The dr talk fast and I caught two out right lied on my copy's of appointments I picked up. One said we had and in-depth long conversation discussing all option. Bull. Never happened. The next one wanted to fuse my neck discs together where you can't look up or down or sideways. He also put false info in. Complete nitemare each time. What a racket. I am a stage four melanoma survivor and past President of the American cancer society for five years. I have two immune deficiency's also. So I consider myself a professional patient. I was hit two times in 6 months heading by drunk drivers. In Alaska then California. I am a professional photographer for some too name bands. Bad Company, Aerosmith etc. both wrists were broken in half along with other fractures. I wasted a lot of time and money with these guys. Do yourself a favor and find someone else. I ended up going to San Antonio and gave fantastic docs there. Like nite and day. read more

Impossible to contact. They moved to a new location, and their phone system is the worst I've ever seen. When you call, you get a totally inaudible message, and if you push a 2 through 8 long enough, you might get on a call prompt waiting list when you can actually talk to someone. If you reach a perso';s voice mail and leave a call back message, it never gets returned. read more

They tell you to come early, don't bother. My daughters appointment time was at 415, we got here at 335, it's now 515 and have yet to be called back. They told me I was next (obviously since the office closed at 5pm and only 1 other person here that had an appointment scheduled for 430) but the people that have been called back since 4pm have yet to come out from the back. read more

I don't understand how the lady in the front desk at Dr. Montgomery's office can pick and choose who to bring out the electronic paperwork to. She made my limping grandma go to the window about three times but kept coming out to get this other guy things that he needed to fill out at his beck and call. The staff here is really despicable. I came here to see one doctor. Have seen him twice and really liked him. But the office is not run the most efficiently. The way patients check in is confusing and very timely. Should arrive early just to have enough time to check in and still be on time for the appointment. Never seen an office set up like they are. Staff at the front desks are not warm and cuddly! Lol Don't even think about discussing more with the doctors then what you are seen for at your appointment. No time for "chit-chat" due to the time crunch. This is a very busy practice. But they aren't the only Docs in town. Loved the doctor, but I'm going elsewhere, because of the staff and set up. My time is just as important as theirs! read more

I broke my leg on Aug. 24, 2019, and was so fortunate that my GP doctor referred me to Dr. Larkins!!!!! He is an amazing doctor!!! I had a 3-1/2" vertical break of my fibula. He put in a plate and 6 screws and then gave me step by step instructions of the process he would take with my healing, right down to the day the boot came off. I'm not sure what kind of stitching he did, but what is a 5-1/2" scar...is now, 3 months after surgery, almost invisible. When I said that to him... he said that I just heal really well. I've waited as long as four hours but never less than two hours on average. This is also my third back surgery due to negligence on doctor part. My spinal cord was severed during one of my surgery that should give you a idea. This is the third time I have come to this office. Each time it takes several hours passed the appointment time to see the doctor who then only talks to you for about 5 minutes. My daughter's appointment is at 1 pm and it took 50 minutes for them to bring us to the exam room for a nurse to talk to my daughter for 10 minutes. They made us wait for another 45 minutes for the doctor to talk to us for not even 5 minutes. What kind of clinic are you people running? Manage your appointment slots better! The staff at this Dr.'s office is very rude and not helpful at all. They send you a text with a link to check in and fill out paperwork. Then when you go in to check in the staff is definitely not welcoming and just give you an iPad to figure out on your own what is needed. If that's their way of getting a thorough intake on a patient's history, it's very vague and no way of adding any information. Then they are extremely uptight with the mask wearing. They literally start shouting at you about the mask and definitely don't care if you have other medical conditions that cause issues with mask wearing. I had already been sitting there for more than an hour waiting to be called in when I had taken off the mask for a few minutes. Apparently there was only one person ahead of me when I checked in and that it wouldn't take long to be called in. They expect you to explain your medical conditions in front of everyone in the waiting area and give absolutely no privacy at all. They can careless about HIPPA. read more

This cattle car medical office is a joke. Same doc.....years later. The place made such a great first impression on me, I had forgotten had ever been seen there. However, had a new injury, with some expanded orthopedic problems, but received the same result....."Have a nice day....Make sure you pay!"....this is totally disgusting and UNSAT. I am fed up with hearing about how injuries will resolve themselves, when 9 years later, the damn pain and injury is still there. But they don't seem to care. It's not on their agenda.....and not a mission priority. On a positive note, they make sure there is a nice waiting room. I am sure the janitorial staff and decorators are extremely proud of their work. Bravo. I would say I was surprised with the "verdict" of this visit; however, I KNEW what the result would be as soon as I got my referral authorization and eventually recognized the name. The orthopedic doc I was forced to see is totally useless and exceptionally lazy. Unless you have a totally torn rotator cuff.....and even then?.......don't expect any treatment worth a plugged nickel. Folks, look at my quote above. That is what you can and should expect. Don't be a fool and expect anything else. Veterans.....LISTEN UP......please DON'T use this place. If you are referred.....do everything you can to change it. Save your time and hard earned $$$$$.....there are a lot of better, caring, competent docs out there. In addition, there are offices where the check-in staff and nurses don't have the personality of a cold, wet rag. All of this is written IMHO, of course. Vets, I'm looking out for y'all. It's amazing how dumb some orthopedic docs think the public is nowadays. This graduate school alumni isn't putting up with it anymore. Folks, torn cartilage in your body is NEVER normal as a result of a traumatic injury. It's NEVER normal to be unable to perform everyday household tasks, or the duties of your occupation.....regardless of your age. The only thing normal with this place is pay on your way out.....their specialty is making sure your check out is very expedient...to keep the cattle car moving. Bravo to the throughput. I am writing this as I am awaiting my appointment. While the facility is clean that is the only thing I have been impressed with so far. I have been here for over an hour and a half (including the 15 min early they told me to come to fill out paperwork). I wasn't even given the paperwork to fill out until 20 min after I arrived. A nurse finally came to take me a room after an hour in the waiting room and here I am 20 min later and still no doctor. I understand appointments can get backed up, especially after lunch, but I can honestly say I have NEVER waited this long at a doctors office. read more
