Going on the first tour of the day, there was a sizable line of people queuing at the door, which opened right on time. You get checked in, and get a packet of tea as a ticket. Once everyone has been accounted for, you're advised to use the washroom as you can't really leave the tour later to avail yourself of the toilets. The experience starts with a short film regarding the company's history, and then you're off the the factory floor. You have to don some snazzy hairnets as part of health regulations. You can see them mixing the herbs in giant lots, pack the herbs in sachets, and finally wrap them up into packaging. You also get to smell the mint room - where the mints are segregated so their aroma doesn't leech into any of the other herbs. The tour concludes with the gift shop and the all-you-can-drink tea tasting. Delicious!

They did not have honey to sweeten the teas, but they did have sugar and an alternative sugar. They had three cold teas, and four hot teas. We especially liked the cold blueberry tea. They had almost eighty different type of teas to choose from on the menu and I got the iced black tea and a warm jasmine tea, both were delicious. The restrooms were clean and everyone seemed very helpful in the tea tasting area. Like I said, we were not able to do the tour, but we were able to go to the gift shop. It was a good mix of things, like snacks, tea towels and cups and measuring spoons. Everything was really cute but I wish I had more options with their name on it, and the picture of the sleeping time bear. I liked a lot of the mugs, but I wanted one that had the bear and the celestial seasoning's name on it, so I left with a magnet and of course, tea. Overall, I would definitely come back when we are in Boulder next time and recommend it to everyone to go at least once.

Definitely bring sunscreen for the second tour, as you will be sitting outside in the sun for a little bit. It's cool and refreshing inside the mines, and they're full of history, right down to the wooden shafts that still have numbers painted on them from the miners of 1800s. You will learn about mining history and how harrowing and challenging it was, and see the actual tools they used, and how techniques developed over time. You will see shafts and tunnels you cannot explore but remain from days of old that inspire the imagination. You will also hear some silly ghost stories, and even see how UV light illuminates the rocks and minerals in the mines. Interested in history, gold, geology, or mining? Even if you aren't, take this tour anyway! It's well worth it, and the guides do a great job.

Since we'd been on so many safaris before, we know what we want and expect out of a safari - and Fanuel and Kathy exceeded our expectations (and we were only their second clients!) Comfortable refurbished land cruiser with no maintenance issues, picked us up from our hotel RIGHT on time (you don't really expect that to happen too often when you're on East African time), a few breaks for tea and lunch (they even brought hot water, tea/coffee, mugs, plates, silverware, hot napkins, etc. - everything was thought out to perfection), reasonable price, help with planning other aspects of our trip/recommendations, and an overall awesome safari where we didn't feel rushed. A lot of safaris we feel the pressure to spot an animal, take a few pictures, and then move on to make sure you get through the whole park. But Fanuel and Kathy did what only good guides do - they took notice of what WE wanted.. which was to enjoy the animals that we did see (you can't expect to see everything, it doesn't matter how "good" the guide is). Also, Fanuel is super knowledgable about the animals, especially birds, and he won't ramble on about information if you're not listening. Like I said, both Kathy and Fanuel were really perceptive - it was about what WE wanted to learn about the animals and about what WE wanted out of the whole experience. 5 stars! :)

We visited Estes Park for the first time during Memorial Day weekend 2026 and decided to schedule a…read moresunrise tour of RMNP since we were unfamiliar with the area. Sarah picked us up at Stonebrook Resort, where we were staying, at 5:10 a.m. Since it was early on Memorial Day, we did not need to pay an entrance fee or schedule timed entry into the park. Sarah took us up to Many Parks Curve and pointed out the numerous peaks in the distance to the northwest while describing various points of interest below. The sun rose quietly in the east, making the entire experience peaceful and beautiful. She drove us as far as Rainbow Curve, where the road was closed, then walked us farther up the road so we could take in additional views. Throughout the trip, Sarah shared local history, explained natural events over the past century that have shaped the park, and answered our many questions. We were also lucky enough to see several bull and cow moose near their calves, bull elk, bighorn rams, and even a Colorado pika. The tour lasted approximately three hours and ended back at our lodging. We highly recommend Sunrise Tours of Rocky Mountain National Park to anyone looking for a quiet, memorable experience of RMNP in all its natural beauty. Sarah was an amazing and knowledgeable guide, and her insight, warmth, and familiarity with the park made the tour even more special.

Christine was very patient with all the questions from my 7 year old. We saw elk, moose, and several other animals, Christine was very knowledgeable. There were many stops in varying places. The bus was comfortable with large viewing windows, and Christine had a microphone connected to the bus audio system, so we could all hear. She was very good about repeating questions into the microphone, so we were all looped into the conversation. The only part of the tour that I thought was underwhelming was the stop at Estes Park. I know some people like to look at knick-knacks in tourist towns, but I would have been happy to skip it. It was only an hour.

I was so nervous walking in, but from the moment we arrived, every single staff member made us feel welcomed, safe, and supported. Our guide, Koa, was the perfect balance of fun, kind, and incredibly skilled. He guided us through the rapids with such confidence and ease while also making sure everyone felt safe and included. He checked in on us several times throughout and made sure we were having fun, asked us if we wanted to "spice it up" a bit or keep it mellow and just really let us know this was "our" trip and he's cater to what we wanted. I quickly found myself letting go of fear and enjoying the moment... something I didn't expect would happen. Koa's energy was contagious, and his calm, respectful nature made us feel like we were in the best hands possible. At one point on the river, another rafting company had a mishap and we had to pull over and wait for them to recover and get their riders back into the raft safely. Koa explained what had happened with total grace - no judgment, no gossip - just a calm and respectful explanation. He also spoke so kindly of his own coworkers and even the owner of Liquid Descent. You could tell he genuinely cares about the rafting community and takes pride in his work and LOVES his Liquid Descent family! Every employee we encountered was friendly, encouraging, and helpful - from getting us fitted with helmets and life jackets to cheering us on as we headed out. As someone who started out nervous, that kind of supportive vibe made a huge difference. They encouraged me, and they helped me push past my comfort zone in the best way possible. What a GREAT memory! We will remember this day not only for the thrill of the rapids, but for the kindness and heart of the people who guided us through it!
