The…read moremain restaurant is beautifully decorated with a very beachy aesthetic and the music really added to the ambiance. They also have an extra covered patio area which appeared to be dog friendly, as well as lots of outdoor seating with lovely views of the beach. We shared the fruits de mar platter and it was more than enough for two people. You could honestly share it between three and order a side if you need more! The crab was absolutely delicious, honestly nothing was bad. The fries were some of the nicest we've had down here too. They serve Salcombe Dairy ice cream as well and the coffee and banana flavours were both really nice and not synthetic or overpowering. Definitely recommend for the views, excellent service and delicious food.

Great little place just outside of Salcombe and across from a beautiful little beach. The signature Prawn Juice beer was great, as were the fries, which were sort of like small steak fries. I wasn't a fan of the shrimp sandwich. Next time I might try it without the Marie Rose sauce (which is basically fry sauce in America.) The servers were super friendly. And the outdoor seating, which consists of a number of wood picnic tables, was really nice. They have indoor seating as well. I went on a busy spring Sunday and was still able to find seating outside within a few minutes. Local tip: you can park in the neighboring public car park/parking lot next to the Winking Prawn and take a 30 min walk in to downtown Salcombe, where parking can be tricky. The walk is a bit hilly. Bring coins (GBP coins) for the paid parking, if possible! Otherwise you must download an app and pay via your phone. No credit cards at the machine. It's about 1.5 GBP/hour. You need to single pound coins, not pence.

There are not many restaurants where I want to order everything on the menu. This is one of them…read more First of all, they are Michelin rated. A Michelin Star is awarded to restaurants offering outstanding cooking. They take into account five universal criteria: the quality of the ingredients, the harmony of flavors, the mastery of techniques, the personality of the chef as expressed through their cuisine and, just as importantly, consistency both across the entire menu and over time. At the edge of Guernsey as you come off the ship Pier 17sets. The menu is mostly locally sourced seafood, vegetables, meats and dairy. The seafood is outstanding Started with a creamy lobster bisque. This was built up and served in a large bowl. Don't expect huge chunks of lobster meat. The bisque stands on its own and has all the flavor you could want without filling you up. A perfect starter. The bread was soft and warm and served with a nice aioli and fresh creamery butter. I still can't say which I preferred but both were divine For my main I decided on a full lobster Thermidor. Cooked to perfection in a creamy mustard and cheese sauce with cream and hints of white wine. I have had lobster from all over the world: Maine, Canada, South Africa, Mexico, Ireland, England, Hong Kong, Florida, etc. this local lobster and the chef's preparation may be the very best I've ever had. It was served with arugula and a lovely little salad My wife had the Seamus Scallops which were great in their own right and a side of hand cut chips. Both were perfect We finished with local ice cream and berries They had a good selection of wines. I wasn't too sure on the whiskey and bourbon flavors and we were here half an hour before they actually opened but I had just been hit by a car so they let us in to have drinks. I polished off a few cans of Guinness An amazing meal to top off an interesting day. If you find yourself in Guernsey and want an amazing meal; Pier 17 and their warm and friendly staff receives my highest recommendation!
