Be VERY cautious about what price you think you are getting. I signed up believing the monthly cost…read morewould be just under $200/mth for a 10x10 as that's what the website states (I was explained there would be an insurance cost so that was on top of the weekly rate). All of a sudden It went up to $220 a month - when I called I was told I had a promotional rate that expired after 4 months *was not aware and the price was nearly double what the website had CURRENTLY listed with no mention of any promotional rate on the listing. I then got an email stating my rate was reviewed and it will be increased to $260 a month. Their current weekly rental rate on the website is $36.72/wk (so 4 weeks/mth = $146 a month) more than $100 difference per month than what is being shown online. Slight of hand and small print sales tactics. Be cautious!!!

We used Cactus to move our belongings into storage while our Eau Claire condo (2 bedrooms, 1300 sq…read moreft) was being renovated, and then to move everything back into the condo several months later. We cannot recommend Cactus enough. They are very responsive, clear, helpful, courteous communicators; they accurately estimated the time and "manpower" that would be needed; their rates are competitive; they were on time; nothing was damaged; they were willing to "problem solve" on site to successfully move a heavy, tricky item; and they were willing to do an additional move of a separate large item at a moment's notice. Sweet touches like offer of coffee for an early morning move and a gift of a little cactus plant underscore the care this local business takes in providing attentive, thoughtful service. 5+ stars!

**Disappointing experience with Cactus Moving**…read more Unfortunately, our experience with Cactus Moving was disappointing. While the crew worked hard and I appreciated their effort, it was clear they lacked the training, experience, and leadership needed to manage our move efficiently and safely. It took approximately six hours just to load two trailers, despite the fact that we had no couches and only one bed to move. The process was poorly organized, with little evidence of an experienced crew leader directing the work. Safety was also a concern. One of the movers was wearing Crocs and slipped multiple times on the trailer ramp. This raised serious questions about the company's training and safety standards. We had also disclosed in advance that we had a piano, yet the crew was not adequately prepared to handle it. A second crew was required on Sunday to complete the move, resulting in approximately $800 in additional costs. My frustration is not with the individual movers, who genuinely seemed to be trying their best. It is with the company for sending a crew that appeared inadequately trained, equipped, and supervised for the job. Moving is expensive and stressful enough without unexpected costs and avoidable complications. Based on our experience, I would have difficulty recommending Cactus Moving.
