    Fast efficient and friendly service, I hope to not require urgent care in the future however if I did I wouldn't hesitate to come here.

    This is a hard review for me to write, but one I feel I need to do…read more Overall, the level of health care I have received from Physicians Immediate Care has been excellent. Everyone I've spoken with at the location have been professional and friendly. However, their records accessibility policy is ridiculous. They use a version of Epic (the most common software in the US) for their EHR. However, they do not offer a patient portal. Epic's portal is called MyChart and is offered by basically every major provider who uses Epic. Even their competitor CVS Minute Clinic offers MyChart records access. I once called to ask Physicians Immediate Care to send my health records to my PCP. I was told they charge a fee for this, basically because they can, and when I asked the person I was speaking with why they don't use MyChart they actually told me "because the records belong to us". In fact, failing to offer one seems to be in opposition to the Meaningful Use portion of EHR Incentive Program Stage 3. Maybe they don't take advantage of any of the Medicare and Medicaid incentives? I don't know, but failing to offer a patient portal strikes me as hopelessly anachronous. The message I get is they are so greedy for every cent they charge a fee to send records when seemingly everyone else offers online portal access for free. Records copying fees are "allowed" in many states, but are part of laws passed long ago when records were on paper and people had to physically photocopy them. So I tend to avoid Physicians Immediate Care now and go to CVS.

Shout-out and…read morethanks to Kene, Clayton & Lisa for seeing my wife and I late on a Friday evening, most certainly the last patients after what could only have already been a long day in this flu season. They waited till our flu results were known and then advised us how to proceed. Lisa was polite and helpful on the phone. Clayton went out of his way to answer our questions, provide medical guidance for flu-like symptoms, and even brought us a bottle of water while we waited for the test results. I can't speak to any of the my fellow Yelpers' review but based upon my experience, I'm glad I went and recommend them highly. I first started going to them for Covid tests during the pandemic and then for general medical guidance post-pandemic. The waiting room was clean, well lit, and nicely furnished.     I went to this Northwestern Immediate Care location in Chicago strictly for routine blood work as…read morepart of my annual exam. This visit was only for a blood draw. There was no consultation, no exam, and I did not see or speak with any doctor at that location. Despite this, a "doctor's visit" was billed at nearly $700. After insurance, I was still charged $321 out of pocket for a visit that never happened. I had to call several times and got only impolite responses saying that the bill was correct, although I was charged for a visit which never happened. Fortunately my primary care doctor, who is based at a different Northwestern location, helped escalate the issue, and their office manager was able to get the charge corrected. I appreciate their help in resolving it. However, the incorrect charge originated from the Immediate Care location itself, which is very concerning. Patients should not be billed for services they did not receive. Because of this experience, I would not return to this location and would not recommend it to others. This is not my first experience with Northwestern Medicine facilities charging for services I did not receive or billing twice for the same service. If it were not for my doctor-who is truly exceptional, takes time with patients, and provides outstanding care-I would avoid Northwestern altogether. Stay away and avoid problems.
