There was no attention to detail and the car was handed over with the windows needing to be re-done and there are permanent scratches on my brand new car window....I went to Jose for tinting my new car. We purchased this car from the dealership with only 2 miles on it. This car was literally just off the truck and never was driven by anyone other than me and the people working on my sale at Honda. This car was pristine, I looked over the car extremely well, with my husband and the salesman. There was not a scratch on it. The car was processed and put through dealer inspection and 2 stickers were put on the front driver window. My husband and I looked over the car again with the salesman before driving it off the lot. I dropped my car off with Jose and picked up 3 hrs later. We looked the car windows over and noticed there was a long scratch in the tint on the passenger side front window. Jose confirmed the tint was scratched, drove it back inside to take the tint off and re-tint. When leaving, I notice ANOTHER big scratch, this time in the back passenger window. We turned around, showed Jose, and again waited for him to re-tint the window. I would expect the window tint to be thoroughly inspected before handing the car over but this did not happen. I was told by Jose his son did the windows. The next day I notice 2 scratches on my driver's side window. The scratches are around where the Honda stickers had been placed on the car. I immediately think the tint was scratched just like the other windows. My husband called Jose and was told to bring the car by his shop.This time he tells me it must be glue stuck between the window and the tint. He tells me to wait while he removes the tint on this window to replace. I ask about a bubble in the driver's side back window. He tells me he will also re-tint this window (so now we are at all 4 windows being re-tinted). Jose comes to get me to show me the driver's side front window. He tells me that there are SCRATCHES IN THE ACTUAL GLASS WINDOW. I told him the window was not scratched when I brought it in originally. He said he was not responsible because he does not use a blade to remove stickers on the window. He said he uses his fingernail and glue remover to remove the stickers. I immediately call my husband to let him know and ask him what he wants me to do. Jose continues to say he did not make the scratches and suggests it was done by the dealership. At this point, it is a "he said, she said" situation. It is MORE PROBABLE however for scratches to be made on glass when tinting windows and/or taking stickers off because of the blades and tools used while tinting (especially if blades are dull) and the fact you are cutting tint etc. versus at the dealership where they had no reason to have any type of blade near the car. The odds of it happening at South Lake Mobile Window Tinting is truly much greater supported by the carelessness/problems with the tint on all other windows and inexperience of the son. The scratches were not there prior to tinting. My husband said to just have Jose re-tint the window like he was going to do and leave. I let Jose know to re-tint the window. Jose then comes into the waiting room and says "If you would like, I CAN REMOVE ALL THE TINT FROM ALL THE WINDOWS AND REFUND YOUR MONEY". Seriously? So now fuel is being added to the fire and I am being offered a refund BUT ONLY AFTER all the tint is taken off the windows and thrown away.The same tint on the windows I waited twice for to be done correctly, waisted extra time waiting, driving back to get them to correct their careless mistakes? They were better off offering nothing because now I felt they are nickel and dimeing me at this point. I just wanted my car back without scratches. There was no attention to detail and the car was handed over with the windows needing to be re-done and there are permanent scratches on my brand new car window. read more
