Woke up one morning only to find my fridge not working. I called a repairman that I had used previously & he was so rude to me I threw his card away as soon as I got off the phone. Did some research online & decided to call South Island. Of course it was a weekend, spoke to Chris & he agreed to come within a couple of hours. He did explain the charge & told me if we went ahead it would be applied to the repair, which it was. He replaced the defective part but next day another problem arose. He came right away & discovered another part to be replaced which had to be ordered. To make a long story shorter, Chris spent almost 3 days working on this fridge/freezer. It now works better & quieter than it has for years. When he finished I offered him more money which he rightly deserved but he wouldn't take it & stated a happy customer was more important. Needless to say, he is my go to guy & I've passed his name to friends & family. Do not hesitate to call Chris, you will not be disappointed. Can't say enough about how impressed I am with this call-out today. I contacted the company phone number, and reached Chris a couple rings in....he was courteous, friendly and confident that the problem I was experiencing with our tenant's washing machine, could be taken care of quickly and easily. He was right! Chris gives the BEST appliance repair service ever! He is professional, personable, and a genius at diagnosing and repairing appliances. Our dishwasher can't be pulled out until we get a new countertop installed, and twice now Chris has figured out how to repair it while it is still in place. This saved us a ton of hassle and got our dishwasher working perfectly the same day.
