Called in and left a voicemail. Promptly received a callback, but missed it. After some phone tag, I sent the number a text and connected with Julie. It's great to be able to connect to a business via text, as we were able to converse about a convenient time and she was expecting my call. She was helpful, knowledgeable and passionate about customer service. It was clear that she cared, and quickly walked me through some remote troubleshooting I did while on the phone. In no time at all, she was able to isolate the problem down to a breaker switch that was turned off, and the electrical issue that I thought I was having was resolved. Julie then went on to answer a few of my questions including: explaining some guidelines to look for when considering the purchase of a new appliance, reliable brands, etc. Very informative and patient. Awesome. Overall, what I found most impressive was how she helped me troubleshoot before rolling a service call. Tony is a gem. He makes good on his promises and provides excellent service. He is also upfront on the costs and breaks down the parts and labour on his invoices. I've used Tony's repair medic a few times for my Son's old maytag washer and dryer and although the set is going on about 25+ years, each time that Tony has come he tells me to tell my Son to hang onto his older washer and dryer as long as they keep working, all bcuz appliances nowadays are not the work horse that these old ones are... And you know, Tony's absolutely right! Newer washers and dryers don't do a quarter of the cleaning or drying that my Son's older set does. Whenever I house and pet sit, and need to do laundry at his place, especially sheets and towels, every load gets briskly washed and dried in a short amount of time and the best part is each load smells amazing, whether they go into the dryer or not, as compared to doing laundry in a newer set where the washer adds only a quarter tub of water inspite of the so called extra water button that makes no difference, plus the newer washers barely moves the clothes around causing absolutely insufficient cleaning, and on top of that, the newer dryers take 3x++ the time to dry the laundry all bcuz the newer washers don't have the spin rpms that the older washers have therefore the newer washers barely spin the water out of the laundry and each load is super heavy inspite of doing 1 or 2 extra spin cycles. And when I say laundry, I'm mostly meaning sheets and towels bcuz I hang dry all clothing except socks and some underwear... So, bottom line, I will continue to call Tony whenever I stay at my Son's and need his washer and/or dryer repaired. Tony is very friendly and if I ask questions regarding what it is he's doing, (I love to learn about the fixing of appliances), he duznt mind explaining! Plus, I feel that Tony is very honest and hope that he duznt plan on retiring anytime soon... Thanks Tony! read more

Got it up and running again with a replacement part and gave me advice on how to keep machine operational in future. Took time to write out in detail what was done and what to do in future. Very poor service. Seemed to be more interested in expounding all his knowledge about all our other appliances rather than looking at the problem at hand. He was not interested in listening to our concerns. Spent very little time dealing with the problem. Hence his repair job which entailed tightening one nut on the float mechanism in our dishwasher did not last two days despite charging $113.40 ( $70 service call plus $38 labour plus taxes). When we called him back to fix the problem he arrived without the part he now said that we needed to fix it without even looking at it. He dominated the conversation and when we tried to ask him to listen to what we had to say he looked at his apprentice son and said "we're leaving". In short he charged a lot without fixing the leak and treated us disrespectfully. We would not recommend hiring this person. read more

This spring we had our older Maytag washer repaired. We chose Tony because of review and length of experience. Tony is great. Lots of experience and not a "fly by night" repair man. He gives honest feedback, is trustworthy and his obvious depth of knowledge gave us a very good feeling about our experience with him.
