My local ENT gave me a referral to get a head CT scan at South Florida Diagnostic Imaging! The location was easy to find and parking was simple, I did have an appointment at 7:15am and it was empty. The customer service was friendly and fast. I didn't wait more than 15 minutes to get inside and since I only had a head CT scan done it was roughly pretty quick. The equipment look brand new and the place was clean and well kept. Please Note: I have read all the reviews about the wait times and about staff. To create a solution for the wait times try and get an appointment as earlier as possible I would suggest 7am to avoid the long wait times. They do have multiple rooms with various machines and they do all types of scans like mammograms, CT, MRI, etc. Wear comfortable clothing and no jewelry because any metal they will tell you to take it off unless you have metal in your interior. read more

One star because I can't give less. My experience at this place was very bad. My appointment was at 12:30 p.m., and I didn't leave until 2:26 p.m. The woman at the front desk with black hair and glasses lied to me about the order in which patients were being called and had me taken in whenever she decided. On top of that, she had an unprofessional attitude, was rude, and showed very little respect or empathy toward patients. I do not recommend this place if you value your time or expect to be treated with courtesy and respect by the front desk staff. I do want to recognize the MRI technicians, who were excellent. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this diagnostic center. It took 25 days to receive the results of a follow-up breast ultrasound. During that time, I had to cancel two doctor's appointments because my physician could not review the imaging without the report. Despite making numerous phone calls and even visiting the center in person to request my results, I was repeatedly told to wait. This unnecessary delay caused significant stress and anxiety, especially when dealing with a breast health concern. Patients deserve timely communication and better coordination of care. I generally give healthcare providers the benefit of the doubt and understand that occasional delays or miscommunications can happen. However, my experience with South Florida Diagnostic Imaging involved repeated misinformation, poor coordination, and significant delays that fell far below the standard of care I expected. On July 13, I called to schedule two physician-ordered exams: a breast ultrasound with Doppler and a chest X-ray. The scheduler told me they could not schedule the ultrasound unless I also had a mammogram. I explained that I am under 40 and this was not a routine screening--it was ordered to evaluate the vasculature. He placed me on hold, said he would verify the policy and call me back, then later called to confirm they would not schedule the ultrasound without a mammogram. Because of this, I had to contact my physician for an unnecessary mammogram order. I then scheduled all three exams for July 20 and was instructed to report to Suite 102. My appointment was at 2:40 p.m., and I arrived 25 minutes early. After waiting in line, I was told I actually needed to check in at the Women's Center in Suite 103, where I waited another 25 minutes. During check-in, I was told they could perform the ultrasound but not the mammogram. After speaking with a supervisor, the receptionist informed me that the supervisor said the ultrasound should actually be done first, and only if something abnormal was found would a mammogram be needed--the exact opposite of what their scheduler had told me days earlier. After changing into a gown and waiting again, another technologist looked at my order and said they could not perform the ultrasound because they "don't do vascular ultrasounds." I questioned why multiple employees had already reviewed my order, checked me in, collected my copay, and had me change into a gown if they couldn't perform the exam. After additional discussions with the supervisor, she acknowledged they were capable of performing the Doppler study and ultimately completed the ultrasound herself. If your facility could perform the exam all along, why did I spend nearly an hour being told it couldn't be done? My chest X-ray results were sent to my physician the next day. However, my ultrasound results have still not been finalized more than two weeks later despite multiple phone calls. On both occasions, I was told the issue would be escalated, yet the results remain unavailable. These results are needed for medical clearance before surgery. This experience involved: Incorrect scheduling information. Contradictory instructions from multiple employees. Poor communication between departments. Failure to review physician orders before collecting payment. Excessive wait times. An unreasonable delay in releasing diagnostic results. Patients deserve accurate information, coordinated care, and timely reporting of diagnostic studies. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Because I have been unable to resolve this directly with the imaging center, I will be filing formal complaints with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), the American College of Radiology (ACR), and my health insurance company. read more

Excellent service, very friendly and efficient. I arrived from my appointment 10 minutes early, they asked me to sit, within five minutes I was called to the desk. So very quick paperwork and a couple of automated signatures later, and I was directed to the door where a nurse was waiting. I was taking to a waiting area, I sat for exactly 3 minutes, and a technician came to gathering. I was taking him for an x-ray, everything was clearly explained as to the procedure and within 10 minutes I was up. Total time 21 minutes and I was in and out. Waited 1 hour for my ultrasound after checking in for my appointment. The ultrasound itself was fine - the technician didn't say anything at all. My main concern is that now it's been almost 4 weeks since the ultrasound and I still have not received the results. After the ultrasound they said I'd get results in 2-3 days. By 4 days I had called and they said it can take up to 7 business days. I called at the 7 business day mark and they said it can take 2 more days. Every time I call they assure me they're expediting it for review and the results will be ready in 48 hours. So frustrating. Took a copay from me to not even have results a month later. Even my PCP has been hounding them and they promised my PCP the results would be ready by this past Wednesday. Were they ready? Nope! read more

This is the first Review of my life. On May 5th, 2026,  I went there for an X-Ray with the indication: "Left shoulder pain for 6 months. Inability to elevate the left arm" I have been needing help even to get dressed and wash my hair. They performed the x-rays of both shoulders, 2 views, fine. When the Report arrived, it only mentioned the right shoulder , which has never been the one hurting me and it has never prevented me from being able to perform my daily activities/needs. It was a surprise! so, I call there, they told me that I had to call my primary Doctor, and that's what I did. My Doctor's office nurse called them and had to do it several times. Finally, May the 12th, the Report arrived again with the  "Addendum". The "Addendum" is one sentence that says there is nothing in my left arm and that: "Findings are on the Right as stated below" And then, they "copy and paste" the same previous report. Which, makes it very clear that this Radiologist did not look at the images, He did not even bother to review them, despite my insistence that my left arm is hurting and it does not let me to perform many activities of my daily life, including getting dressed without help. Radiologist: Dr. Donald Dawson, MD. During an entire week, I called the center, left a message at the recording machine at the Radiologist Dpt., telling my pain, I spoke with Melissa twice, I spoke with Lucia, and I spoke with Maria, and she transferred me to a supervisor on May 13, 2026 and I spoke to supervisor Saúl!, I explained to him, about my LEFT ARM PAIN, He apologized several times during the conversation. I begged him to repeat the X-Ray of my left arm/shoulder, and he told me that be waiting for a phone call from them, He Said: "Be aware of your phone" Today is May 20th, and NOBODY HAS CALLED ME, just as the supervisor said would happen. Very long wait time here. Scheduled for 2:00; in the MRI at 3:45. Got there 15 minutes early as requested. Woman in waiting room had to reschedule because the wait was so long. Another 20 minutes wait to get a cd of the MRI to take back to my ortho. $5 charge. Not sure if this is standard or not. The staff was very nice, especially Maria the receptionist. I stupidly forgot to bring my prescriptions (left on kitchen counter) and she called my doc and had them faxed over. Good sport. The technicians were nice too. Free parking. Mine is a mixed opinion..... when I went to get the service , all the ladies taking care of me were professional , courteous and timely, but to call on a Saturday to pick up a CD of a test with multiple calls in the span of 2 hours , people picking up and not responding leaving you there saying hello hello and hanging up or transferring to the system again MULTIPLE TIMES is unheard of. I drive there finally to pick it up only to be told I have to come on a weekday to pick it up . I tell the young girl there about how my morning went " oh there is nobody working the phone on weekends" yet she has the cellphone in front of her waiting for me to leave so she can go back to her cellphone. If you have a person with enough time on a Saturday to be on her cellphone, she can handle at least one of the lines intermittently. It is a Sad state of customer service we live these days . This places billing department is a disaster. You pay in cash the day of the service and 3 months later you start receiving bills asking you to pay. Do not try to call them, they never pick up the phone and they will never call you back. If you try to call another department and ask for help they simply transfer your call again to the worthless billing department. Their customer service and care for patients is null. I had an appointment today for a CT scan. The two girls in the front that check you on were so sweet to all the patients that came in. They not only did there jobs quickly but treated everyone with a smile and were very compassionate. Also the girl and guy that did the CT scan were very nice. First, I've had three diagnostic services at South Fl Diagnostic Imaging. I received two phone calls advising me that my referrals were not received. I called my primary who i formed me that the referrals were indeed sent. I called the referrals department and was informed that the referrals were received and not to worry about it. The next day I receiced another call and was told I needed referrals or my appointments would have to be rescheduled! I was again informed that my referrals were received. Moving on. I've now received several text messages informing me that I have a balance of $2, 485.71. I called the billing department five times. I've left several messages informing them that I called my insurance company and all claims have been paid and I have no patient responsibility. According to the messaging, someone would call me back in 3-5 business days. I'm still waiting for that call. It's been three weeks now. I don't know what else to do. I don't recomment South Florida Diagnostic Imaging and I will never use them again. read more

Came here with my brother for his xrays. They took him inside immediately. An appointment is an appointment here. The place was packed, but I guess you only come here if it's the only option your insurance gives you. So my review is for what I experienced in the waiting room. When you first walk in, the smell of urine is very prominent. Hits your nose like you're standing near a dirty toilet. Then the smell of marijuana is incredibly strong! I felt like I just walked into a smoker's house. I think I might've gotten second hand smoke from just sitting there. Gross! But I do have to say, that the girls in the front office were very nice and very attentive to not only my brother and myself, but to everyone who walked in. Great customer service. read more

I get a lumbar X-ray here and before I leave I ask for the images on CD. When I take the CD to my surgeon I'm told that there were no X-rays on the CD. Instead they gave me an MRI I did there years prior! My surgeon couldn't proceed with my post op appointment without the images so I drove 30 miles to south Florida diagnostic imaging to get the RIGHT IMAGES. I explain that I'm in a rush as I had to drive back to surgeon ASAP with CD images. I saw 3 young girls that handle the CD's on their phones and chatting. When I asked again how much longer it would take one of the girls that was supposedly handling my CD pokes her head out, gives me a stare and proceeds to share photos from her phone with the front desk lady as they chatted and laughed. I've never been so disrespected in a healthcare setting. I'll certainly communicate this experience to the appropriate entities!!! read more

You know getting a mammogram is nothing I look forward to,but it must be done. Scheduling an appointment was quick and easy. Just make sure to check your insurance to see if you need a prescription or referral. This imaging center is right in Kendall,behind La Carretta. There is street parking and they have their own parking lot so it shouldn't be a problem. I walked in the facility and told the actual imaging was done just down the hall. I entered and went to sign in but the young lady juat confirmed my name and let me know there was no need to sign in and would be called in a moment. I sat down and not even 5 minutes later I was called in to give my prescription, ID, and insurance card. I was also advised they had a new 3D imaging available for only $40. I passed on that but would definitley look into the future if I'd need another mammogram within the year. I was then taken to change into a gown. They provide a private space to change along with lockers just in case you'd like to put your valuables inside while you wait. After your taken into another room while others are waiting as well to be called. Once finally called the tech was very nice and answered all the questions I had being a little nervous. She reassured me there was nothing to be afraid of and that this new machine doesn't "squish" your breast as much as the previous machine. The whole process took less then 10 minutes and I was out of there. Their staff is excellent,sufficient,well knowledged, and so nice. My whole experience was swift,quick, and I walked out with a smile on my face knowing I got something important done and out of the way. I'm not really sure what everyone's complaint is. I've come here several times in the past 2 years and I've had zero issues. I've had mammogram, MRI's, xrays and ultrasounds done here without issue. I have recommend them to family and friends, and they liked it, also. As for results, they have a website where you can register and when your results are ready the report will be uploaded there - I've waited only a few days. I think it's great bc I don't have to wait for the doctor to call me. The facility is very clean, affordable and while some employees are nicer than others, to be fair, that's everywhere; overall, I am very happy with them. read more

Since my doctor and insurance use SFDI I'm kinda forced to use it. Generally, I have no problems with the clinic itself. Making phone appointments is pretty easy. My appointment was at 11. At 11:03 the courteous front office staff checked me in. At 11:10 I went back for x-rays and was out by 11:30. The x-ray tech was very competent. I have no complaints about this part of the business. Why it's (barely) 2 stars is the parking SUCKS! I arrived (luckily) at 10:28 and spent the next 18 minutes circling their totally inadequate parking lot...even their valet was full and of no help. Awful, unprofessional. I went to this place to get a breast ultrasound because I had had a concerning mammogram performed in another facility and it was urgent that I had an ultrasound for comparison. I explained this to the secretary because I needed to obtain an ultrasound with an evaluation from a radiologist. But, instead they lost the mammogram images that I brought which they required so as to compare them with the ultrasound (they had told me several times that without the mammogram images they would not do the ultrasound)... On top of it all, they sent an incomplete report to my doctor saying that it was incomplete because they didn't have those imsges. They did not call me to notify me about this situation. Later, when my doctor reached out to me, I brought them the images AGAIN and it took them more than a week to write a report that didn't say anything new and was confusing. Due to their incompetence, the doctors were concerned and sent me to an oncologist to rule out cancer. The whole experience added me unnecessary stress, time and money. If I could leave less then one star I would. I called at 10:03 Am to notify them that I was two minutes away for my 10 o'clock appointment due to an accident. Upon arriving there I came across the worst parking situation I have ever seen at any location in my life there valet team was not present at the counter and when you did go in you were told to return to valet. It took me 15 minutes to park and I entered at 10:20. Upon coming in they checked me in and said I would be seen shortly. 40 minutes later I was called to the counter and told that since I was late I would need to wait until 12:15. For those keeping track that's a two hour wait. When I re explained the whole situation at the counter the lady informed me that she knew parking was bad, but there was nothing she could do about it. If my doctor reverted refers me to here again I would drop the doctor it's that bad. I would also not come here if my own free will again. read more

My appointment for a mammogram & breast US was at 3:00 pm, they called me to come at 2:45 pm if possible. I came at 2:30 and I was called at 5:30 pm because I complained about it. I went to South Florida Diagnostic Imaging Twice in two days because I needed an MRI on my foot to see if I had any damage to my Achilles tendon due to a heel spur that formed right behind it. It is unbelievably painful, and I have been in terrible pain for three weeks. After the MRI was done on Wednesday on 7pm, I then returned on Saturday at 8:15 am to do some preop x-rays, as I need an operation. The experience wasn't the most pleasant. Firstly, as in previous reviews you will wait. I never did get my diagnostics done on me at the time of my appointment. I hate to wait... the first time I waited about 20 minutes, which isn't so bad. The Saturday appointment I had to wait another hour. The place also has nothing to help people to wait. The chairs are unbelievably uncomfortable, and there is no place in there to get a cup of water or coffee. If you are going to make people wait, might as well give them something to drink. The friendliness/diligence of the staff is up in the air depending on who you speak to. The MRI/X-RAY tech who was involved in both days was friendly, patient and answered any questions I had. The front desk folks is another matter. There is this one younger woman with black hair who is very friendly who squeezed me into an appointment on Saturday Morning, unfortunately there is this older lady there who works who seems annoyed when you ask her questions, and who during the Saturday appointment (according to my family who had to drive me to and from this place because of my injury), had a full blown loud conversation about her Christmas plans with one of her friends for about an hour. The one positive about this place, is that if you need an MRI you can get it done even during odd hours of the day (like I did at 7pm). Still they can definitely improve their services. read more
