This isn't your average spot, located near the 17th Ave and 4th St intersection, they offer a wide range of examinations and glasses options. They even carry the very cool and forward thinking brands ECO and Modo. Now you may be thinking, why would I bother going to the optometrist, I don't need glasses! My first question to you would be, are you sure, when did you last get your eyes examined? You are supposed to go every two years at the least. Now I am not a frequent glasses wearer, I have a pair for night time driving, but just like going to the dentist or the doctor, I get my regular check ups. My family members are frequent glasses wearers, so I have been visiting optometrists regularly for almost 30 years, and Dr Ross is by far the most courteous, understanding, and knowledgeable one I have come across. He took the time to go over each test and why they were doing them as well as explained the results with me. He didn't talk down to me, and he answered all my questions patiently until I understood it completely. The staff are amazingly helpful, they know what they're talking about and they are just real, they give you honest advice, good helpful tips & real opinions. They weren't pushy or just trying to sell me. Dr. Dhiman (owner and optometrist) is AMAZING! She is knowledgeable, kind, and caring. She takes the time to educate you - gives you pros, cons, and consequences. She is S.M.A.R.T.! She knows her stuff and she explains all options for you and doesn't leave anything out. I have so much confidence in her that I ended up switching my prescription from another optometrist and ended up buying glasses and my contact lenses from her as well. How happy am I that I found a great optometrist? SOOO HAPPY!

I am not sure whether she deliberately…read moregave false prescriptions or she is just not competent in the optometrical expertise, her prescriptions for both eye glasses and contact lenses are far off from the correct prescriptions, and she recommended a contact lens brand that is known for causing patients dry eyes, proscribed me with incompatible eye base curves, and wrong codes and power ratings for both of my eyes. I ended up to pay out of pocket for additional eye exams to get the correct prescriptions at another clinic.

There is a whide range of beautiful designer frames, not a lot of cheaper options though. They have a good assortment of reading magazines, coffee and water in the waiting area. The reseptionist and staff are quite friendly and efficient. Their prices for contacts are standard. I once had to exchange one type of unopened contacts for another and there was no issue. They did undercharge me once, so they tacked the difference on to my next vist, but it wasn't a big deal. Dr. Michelle Naruszewicz, who I see, makes my visits so easy going! She explains everything thouroughly to me, even showing me pictures of what she is talking about! For instance I had minor inflammation under my eye lids, she recommended only what was needed to treat it and nothing else. She is what makes me want to come back and what makes me want to take care of my eyes. I highly recommend visiting Mountian View, they will take care of you well!

I like to support small businesses, so I went to Sphere. I took in my frames and my prescription,…read moreand in about 6 days the glasses were ready. I have a complicated prescription and it was done incorrectly. At Spheres direction, I took the glasses to my optometrist and had them checked. My optometrist wrote a note to Sphere, outlining what was wrong with preparation of the lenses. Another week, and I got them back with the correct lenses. Because Essilor had a 1/2 price sale, I took my other frames that I was having made into prescription glasses in to Sphere. I asked for 3 day service, was told that was impossible and received a call about a week later that my sunglasses were ready. I went in and found out that my order wasn't for my glasses. They screwed up and my frames were somewhere at the lab. Worse still, my order hadn't even been started yet. Another week and a half passed to get my prescription sunglasses. To top this off, Sphere didn't even offer me a discount after all this. I would recommend you go to another company. This one doesn't seem to care about their customers at all, only the $$$. Next time, I'll buy my lenses from a chain that's always done them right.

I recently went to Mission Eye care for my 2 year check up…read more I was so impressed with the staff and the service they provided. From the minute I entered the office I felt very comfortable. The staff were all friendly & professional. The lady that selects the frames (after taking a look at my face) was impressive ! She sat me down, looked at my face shape, did a four finger measure and returned with 6 pairs of frames. Every frame was a fit ! She knows exactly what she's doing. The 1st pair I tried were perfect they looked great on me. The Optometrist was fantastic. I've had eye examinations before but never one as thorough as the one at Mission Eye Care. The Doctor was polite, professional & she gave my eyes the most thorough examination I ever had. I did mention that my previous eye exams were no where near as detailed as the examination she did and the Doctor was genuinely surprised that had been my experience. At the risk of speaking in hyperbole, I'd say it's handsown the best eye exam I've ever had. He was professional but down to earth. He dealt really well with my kids as well, explaining the machines to them, showing them 3D models of their eyes, and helping them through the whole process. Dr. Craig did my last eye exam, and he was thorough and knowledgeable about the complications related to diabetes. He was also helpful in making recommendations regarding my eye care (glaucoma). I have always dealt with Pam when I needed new frames or lens. She is friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. She is also extremely thorough, and always takes the time to explain the pros and cons of various lens options, fames, coatings etc. Good glasses are not cheap, but I always feel that I'm getting good value for the money.
