Service is always good. If they don't know something they find out or call another store. The ladies are patient and eager to please. The owners are also very nice. I've met them twice. I love their red/blue light bed. It offers healing for my very fragile skin. I have skin that scars the bed makes them heal faster. Also, the spray tan is amazing. It offers a very even tan that lasts for 7-10 days and have a beautiful deep bronze that evens out my already melanated skin. A free week of tanning in their level 1 beds was posted on their website, so I decided to check this place out. When I entered the establishment, two people walked in right before me and were both seeking new membership information. The representative acknowledged all three of us promptly and courteously, and apologized for the wait. She attended to the two customers ahead of me while I took a seat, and as she was finishing with them, another couple walked in. They indicated they were already members, and she told them I had been waiting for some time and she would be right with me. I offered to let them go ahead, as they just needed checking in. Again, the representative was very gracious, thanking me and offering to comp whatever service I was seeking that specific evening. The two other members were also very polite and very appreciative. This was just an extremely pleasant experience all around. I was impressed by the service provided by the representative, the cleanliness of the store and the tanning rooms and beds, and the product (strength of the tanning bed was great). Prices and descriptions are posted at the front counter and easy to understand. I will definitely returning after my coupon expires. read more

I want to first say that I was completely irritated that Planet Beach changed to Cabana Spas and when I went in to update my hold status, I was informed of all of the changes. Even though I signed my contracts with Planet Beach I was told I would have to go to Southbeach to cancel as well since Planet Beach changed over to Cabana Spas for their spa services and Southbeach for their tanning. Not convenient for someone who could barely get to Planet Beach for all services. Fast forward to today...I figured I've been being charged for Southbeach services, even though I never stepped foot inside there, I might as well go tan and set my cancellation into motion since you have to give at least 30 days notice. I cannot tell you enough how nice and friendly the girls at the front desk were. I actually was so pleased I didn't cancel and will keep my membership there for the time being. It's nice inside, there are numerous choices in beds, sunless tanning and most of all, it was clean inside. The 4 stars is only for the inconvenience and non-communication of the changes happening. read more

Walked in there today while it was raining And young girl at the desk was on the phone with a friend so I didn't even get a hello. Than she sits there on the phone for 5 minutes hangs up and tells me to scan my finger (didn't even Ask if I'm a member) after I do she tells me how I'm not in the system with a nasty attitude. As a business owner myself I felt very disappointed in the who they are putting on front of their company! Only nice thing she did was say she would walk me to my car with an umbrella if I got a spray tan. . deff not coming back! read more

I honestly wish I could rate this place zero stars! The girls are very sweet but are extremely uninformed. They continously told me different things when I was tanning there and were almost always wrong when I would change my package plan. I cancelled my plan over back in May and they have continuously continued to charge my account. I called multiple times and finally reached somebody to help me or so I thought. The man was rude, talked down to me, and said I was stupid if I thought I was getting a refund but they would give me a free month of tanning instead. That I definitely didn't want considering I caught a fungus from laying in their beds that had not been cleaned properly. It caused large white spots all over my body. So please if you must tan go any where but here this place needs a new owner/mngmnt!!!! read more

I have tanned at 3 different locations of South Beach (Carrollwood, Lutz, and Wesley Chapel). Out of all 3 the Wesley Chapel location in not the best. I tan in level 3 and every time I enter that salon it is so hot in there. I always seem to get room #10 in the back and as you walk down the hallway it just gets hotter and hotter. It makes it very unpleasant to stay in the bed for the full time. The bed has fans, however the vent by your head does not blow enough air to keep you comfortable. I try to tan in the stand up level 3 since it is located at the front entrance and it's not as hot up there. I also feel they could upgrade some of the beds to be comparable with the other locations. Maybe the owner is cheap and does not want to spend money. On a positive note, the staff has always been very friendly and courteous. read more
