I have to start at the beginning. In the past I've received terrible dental care in one form or another at different offices. I was already a non-complaining patient with low standards for dental care practitioners and lots of endurance for them and their office people. Until my last dental visit in Bay Shore, where an actual Instructor of dentistry at Stoneybrook (in his own office) left me very fearful and never wishing to visit another dentist ever again. He hit the nerve in my face with the numbing injection and was very careless and unprofessional. He actually greatly filed away my porcelain crown to get a tooth out next to it and never asked me informed me it said a word about it. ... but removed the entire outside of the crown on a large side facing out. (That was my experience with Dr. Calderone). And he installed a post that is now sideways with no crown because I was afraid to go back there even though i had to already pay for everything upfront. His office people just as terrible. So several years later when my upper back tooth cracked in several placesI would not get help. Then a filling fell out of another tooth nearby and bad odors occurring I just took natural herbal antibiotics to keep infection from forming over 3 years time with both teeth. Until a family member told me about her Wonderful Oral Surgeon, Dr. LEVINE. And the option she had to have general anesthesia for her complicated tooth extraction. it all went very well for her. And because I have recently been experiencing sudden panic attacks after the loss of my son, I thought maybe I could safely address my dental issues. I visited the office, ALL OF THE OFFICE TEAM was very caring, clear, and professional no long wait time. I met with Dr. Levine... he's absolutely wonderful caring and professional. No drama, very clear listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. . They offer a visiting anesthesia, Dr. Sarah Forgy with MAPS. She calls me gets my info personally and makes sure I'm going to be okay. I told her I tend to be chronically dehydrated and low blood pressure... she offers saline as part of the treatment, explains everything she's going to do very caring genuinely listening, I'm amazed. At my visit today the entire team gets me greeted me with care, positive attitude, and minutes before the procedure i started getting a panic attack. She held my hand... she switched the focus to talking about our beloved dogs... she was very professional and caring she was a calming presence. The procedure went well. I was not over-anesthetized... the office called with follow up, Dr. Forgy texted me to check in on me. I just can't say enough good things. I went from being extremely afraid of dentists after my last experience to once again having faith in seeing a dental professional. I'm so grateful beyond words. And my idea of dental professionalism has a higher standard now. I highly recommend this office, these Doctors Levine and Dr. Forgy for Anasthesia (anywhere, for any procedure that requires anasthesia). They are a well oiled machine. Procedures went well and they checked on me all the way through. they called and texted next day to make sure I was ok. This should be normal practice , unfortunately, that is not always the case. I wanted to make sure that I gave them a great review, as too often people are quick to complain. Highly recommend.

I needed implants but didn't have the necessary bone structure in my jaws. I required bone grafts and he told be he used "every trick in the book" to create what was needed to enable my jaws to successfully accept three implants. He's so highly skilled, explained everything he was going to do and did. I trust him implicitly. I now have another tooth that was more filling than tooth, and the filling fell out. My dentist recommended a consult for another implant. Dr. Sachs was my only call. Appointment Feb. 5th, 2025. This is THE PLACE to go if you need oral surgery. Dr. Sachs is the surgeon.

This is the worst dentist I've ever been to. I started going to this dentist once I knew I needed…read moreroot canal and my wisdom tooth taken out. First of all, the receptionist is impudent and has an attitude most of the time. I hate being there because of all the negative vibe I get from all of them. Second of all, I was in the process of getting my root canal and I know it takes time for the crown to come in from the lab but normally other dentist receive it after 2-3 week and It's been 3 months for me and still nothing. I call and call and call to set up an appointment and they never answer the phone call. I don't get why they even have one when they only use it when they want to. I had to go up there personally and ask what was going on and why they're taking forever to set up my next appointment and they apologized for the delay they say the dentist has been backed up and they're scheduled me an appointment right there. So I was calmed about that knowing I had an appointment coming up. But then when the day before the appointment I called to confirmed and the receptionist had told me that the office is going to be closed and supposively they called me to let me know and left me a voicemail but I never was informed of that. So I kept scheduling my appointments over and over and something always has to come up either the doctor wasn't there or they closed early or all day or the lights went off and they have no power. I haven't changed my dentist yet cause I just want them to finish the root canal. Once that's done I'm switching out from that dentist as soon as possible. I'm so disappointed.

My husband went there with tooth pain, he has a cracked tooth, we knew that he would need to go to an oral surgeon but he needed a referral. The dentist barely looked at his teeth and wrote him a referral, he felt rushed out of the office. I know that if you have pain in a cracked tooth before an oral surgeon can even take care of it, you need an antibiotic to clear the infection. My husband asked for an antibiotic and they said no. He made an appointment with the surgeon for next week, I feel bad that he is in pain and won't be able to be seen for a week. I had to call the office and speak to the extremely rude receptionist, after going back and forth she finally asked the doctor to fill an antibiotic. All of this could have been resolved if they'd written one in the first place. Don't go here, there are many dentist in the area I feel terrible for my husband that I made an appointment here for him. If I could give less than 1 star, I would.
