You can go to this link and see the shirts that were created. Post CAT 5, Hurricane Dorian, we had to get shirts made for our volunteers that were (and are) going out to deliver donated goods. We wanted to make sure the shirts distinguished our organization with others. And it did! We of course were not looking to spend a lot (as our proceeds are going to those in need) but at the same time keep with the quality of shirts. Especially with the post hurricane conditions of not being able to wash clothes as consistently as you can in 1st world amenities (think 3rd world or beyond post hurricane conditions). Nick and his team came through with our time line for both orders we had. He proved to us when we did our first order of shirts that quality did not go to the wayside with the time constraints we gave him. Both orders were done beyond our expectations. On top of that he dropped them off at the Freight Forwarder in Fort Lauderdale to have them brought over via plane for our volunteers to wear the shirts. He stayed in tight communication via text, email and phone and assisted rapidly (and very patiently) on the changes we kept throwing his way of the Donors we had to add to the back of the shirt. I have been volunteering with Beyond Nine for almost 2 years. I am there twice a week most weeks,…read moreand it is the highlight of my week. I clean a little, but mostly I love on the cats, check on their condition, and socialize the new ones that are terrified. If they don't get over their fear, they won't get adopted, so I am not afraid of them. I have the scars to prove it. I have also fostered a kitten with nerve damage in a front leg that ultimately had to be removed when intervention didn't work. I found a wonderful home for him. I also adopted a cat that was one of nine from a cruel breeder dump after I lost my boy and my girl was lonely. Are they perfect? No. But when a true hoarder died, they took in all those cats (30+), cared for them and many have been adopted. When those evil breeders dumped the cats on the side of the road, they took them in. They have housed the cats for folks when they lost their home due to fire. They have taken them in and loved them when their owner died. Ever seen a cat depressed after losing an owner? It is heartbreaking. We love them back to health. Are some of the cats ill? Get 100 random homeless people together, how many will be sick? Of course some are sick! It takes times with care to get well and that is what they get at Beyond Nine. Does it smell sometimes? Are you serious? Go into most peoples homes that own cats and you can smell the litter box, it comes with the territory. If you try to compare Beyond Nine with some spotless, sterile facility, just know that that facility has killed every middle aged and old, scared, or mildly ill cat immediately upon arrival so that you receive a perfect cat and they can look great. Beyond Nine believes that EVERY cat deserves a chance. Come by and spend some time, have one of those not so perfect cats put their front paws up on your leg because they just want to be picked up and loved. Watch the medicating and treatment that is going on. Watch me socialize a terrified cat so that they become trusting and lovable again. You put some time and effort, or a little money, into the solution. THEN judge.
