Perkins Roofing provided a 5-star performance for the total re-roof and repair of our 100-year old, two-story Spanish home in Coral Gables. Handling a structure of this age requires a level of expertise and skill that most companies simply don't possess, but the Perkins team was amazing from start to finish. Perkins' professional approach was apparent from the outset. Josh and Marco were very helpful in establishing the scope of work, schedule of work, product selections and pricing options. Several systems were considered, but their knowledge and experience facilitated our final choices which also met stringent requirements of the Florida Building Code as well as local Architectural and Historic Boards. Their pricing of labor and materials was very fair and reasonable for the level of service provided and the products specified. Additional costs for unforeseen conditions, deck repair, etc. were transparent and commensurate with customary local prices. Amaris, our full-time project manager, was awesome, and the rest of the team -- Marie, Oscar, Beny, Mauricio, Ricardo, Henry and Jose -- all deserve credit for their hard work! All Perkins employees were focused on the task, put in long workdays (without noisy radios) and treated our property with the utmost care. They always cleaned up after each day's work and left our home in the most acceptable condition possible during every phase of work. The coordination involved in our project was seamless, with timely delivery of materials and deployment of workers as required for each phase. Despite the complexities of a two-story job with traditional full-mortar cap & pan detailing, complicated wall flashings, and unpredictable City inspections, their scheduling was precise and without surprise. Perkins' constant contact was remarkable, using a simple 24/7 messaging app sharing key team members' communications instantly. We were never left wondering about the status of the project. Their responsiveness and proactive updates made a potentially stressful process incredibly smooth. They managed the permitting process, rigorous City inspections, and challenging logistics with total reliability. Perkins' quality of work is superior, looks great, and exceeds our expectations. If you are searching for a highly professional and very qualified roofing company who provides exceptional work for a very fair price, look no further than Perkins Roofing. Our experience certainly confirms their 5-star reputation. read more

They say most homeowners will eventually have to replace their roof at least one in their lifetime and it's often one the most costly expenditures you will have for your home. So, - when it was our turn, I took plenty of time to research everything I could find regarding new roofs, options, contractors, quotes, and references for our area. A house in Miami Beach Florida is subject to tropical storms, hurricanes and some very long hot days. Additionally, there are some stringent building codes and inspections required when replacing a roof in our area. I took the time to speak with quite a few roofing contractors prior to making the decision to go with Perkins Roofing Corporation. I am very happy we chose Perkins... Although their quote for replacing our entire tile and flat roof was not the lowest - it was nowhere near the highest. Overall, their price was in line with what appeared to be the average rate for the type of job required. Their references were good and after some thorough internet searching, I could find only positive comments about their services and company as a whole. Additionally, local building inspectors knew them as a reliable company. Our project manager, Marco Castillo provided our quote and was very professional during his initial visit and throughout the entire project. Since we were within a year from the last major hurricane in Florida, tile inventory (for most roofing contractors) was at a low. However, Marco, kept us informed at every stage of the project and properly projected (to the week), when our tile would be available and the project would be completed. Throughout the project, every day I returned from work, I was pleasantly surprised to see the area meticulously cleaned and our driveway clear. We never had any issues with the Miami Beach building inspections. I am extremely detailed oriented person and as the project ended, I pointed out a couple minor cleanup tasks (ie. paint touch-ups here and there, etc.) and they were on it. They even followed up with some items after I made the final payment. I would certainly recommend Perkins Roofing Corporation to anyone in the Miami Beach vicinity looking for a new roof or just general maintenance. Now that our project is complete, I can rest easy knowing that I can rely on Perkins to maintain our roof for many years to come. read more

Perkins Roofing repaired a small leak in my roof, approximately 6 feet by 6 feet. They did a great job and I am very satisfied with their work. I highly recommend Perkins Roofing. Before I contracted the job with Perkins Roofing, I got another quote from a "reputable roofer". The "reputable roofer" came out to look at the small leak. They told me that the best thing was just to replace the entire roof since in addition to the small leak there were loose nails and missing shingles throughout the entire roof. I told them that at this time I was only interested in repairing the leak. They said that they would do whatever I wanted . The quote that I received from them via e-mail was to replace the entire roof. They never sent me a quote to only fix the leak. Yet, their website says that they repair leaks. Then I found Perkins Roofing. They have been in business for 40 years. Everyone at Perkins Roofing was a pleasure to work with. Perkins Roofing not only fixed the small leak in the roof but they also replaced missing shingles and nails where needed. My roof is now good to go for another 5 - 6 years. read more

I was able to quickly obtain an estimate for a total roof replacement for my single family home. As I shopped other companies, it didn't take long to realize that the quote was really affordable. Once I signed on, the timeline was rapid: City permit applied for & issued (city permit process was longest bit), the roofing crew plus supplies arrived within a day-two after permit issued, and ultimately my 1100 sq ft "rolled roofing" roof was completed in 2-days including the wood decking replacement that my home needed due to damage. I have been a multiple property owner in the past, and have personal experience contracting for home repairs and improvements. I can honestly say that I have never seen a roofing crew work so diligently. I was truly impressed. Roof easily passed inspection as well. No call backs. Very happy with the appearance of the roof even though I wasn't initially thrilled about the local zoning ordinance that required my roof to be "rolled roofing." However, it looks GREAT! Huge improvement to home's appearance. It was a very good experience with great results. read more

Excellent service and very honest. Had them check my roof as my handyman noticed leak on east side of roof before he was to paint my porch. Handyman spent almost an entire day "patching" roof and came back next day to say water is still pooling and he needed to get back into attic to see if his patch was working - he said he may need to reapply the seal. I told him no - I wanted professional roofers to look at it. I called Perkins Roofing and they got me a next day appointment. Rolando and Wilmer from Perkins Roofing came to my house and they went on my roof and into my attic and saw no evidence of leak - no wood in attic was wet despite the rain from the day before. Rolando noted the patch job on the roof was done with silicone that is used by plumbers (which should not be used on roof!). They did a complete evaluation and noted no leak and said my roof was in good shape. This company needs to be commended for their honesty and professionalism. It is very difficult to find good contractors so I am grateful for their service! read more

No one wants to deal with any roof related issues, I know I don't! We had some damage after the hurricane. We interviewed three roofing companies... Perkins was top of our list because of honesty and pricing. I received two quotes; for both roof repair and new roof. It wasn't just about the pricing, what did it for me was the value of what was included in the estimate. I was receiving so much more with both quotes that I receive from Perkins than what was provided with the estimate of the other companies. My contact person was Marco, he always responded to emails and text promptly; he was very professional in answering my questions and made sure that I was aware of all of the process involved. The entire process was very swift, thorough and efficient. They were professional no issues with clean up. Once completed, I really enjoyed the fact that I received pictures of the entire process from start to finish. I was expecting a nightmarish ordeal, but that wasn't the case. The process was actually smooth. read more

Dealing with leaks is one of the most frustrating experiences that a South Florida homeowner encounters during the rainy season. What's worse is having to find a roofing company that can service you quickly and professionally. Thankfully, Perkins Roofing Corporation eased that frustration. They provided my family with impeccable service. They were highly professional, yet personable, returned calls promptly, were on time the day of service, and are reasonably priced. I scheduled a date with them for service to patch the leaks on my roof, and although the date was agreed upon, the team had to reschedule due to a scheduling conflict. I was notified four days prior to my scheduled service date, which of course, impressed me as some services would notify residents the day of expected service. I am more than satisfied with the work the team accomplished, and would definitely recommend Perkins Roofing Corp to any homeowner in need of a stress-free and affordable experience. read more

I am so grateful to have found this roofing company. Professional, courteous, and extremely helpful from beginning of the project to the end. Rolando is very patient. I had to plan the roof job from afar. He always made himself available for calls and returned each email in a prompt and professional manner. Mind you that I had sent photos of the repair work and Rolando quickly returned my call to inform me that it was termite damage. Most of the termite damage was from years ago but there was one small colony of active termites found. Sometime after the area was treated and the roof areas were reinspected, no live termite activity was detected. Then a start date was set. The workers were courteous and left the property better than when they had found it. The work was completed on time and we had a tight schedule of only being in town for a few short days. Thank you for addressing all of my concerns and staying on budget. read more

I have to say I was impressed by the level of professionalism and helpfulness showed by Marco! He came out to do my roof inspection for a sale, unfortunately since my sale is via a relocation company a lot was lost in translation. The roofing company wasn't told that my house was two stories, or that they needed to bring a smaller ladder to get into the attic. Marco saw my stress at having to possibly rebook and he went above and beyond to do the inspection today! He was kind, calm and professional and really made a crazy lady calm down and not lose her marbles! I am so grateful for his empathy, and all I could offer him was a glass of water! I wish I could have at least given him a pastelito! I more than highly recommend this company and Marco. Also, the lady who spoke to me yesterday on the phone (I don't know her name) was just as courteous and professional and nice!! Amazing team! Thanks!!! Truly grateful !!! read more

This is one of the companies that made me the most quality servcie. After getting a few quotes from three other companies, this one gave me the most legitimate estimate. They expressed that I really only needed to patch up my roof and not get a whole new one. While the other companies were telling me that I really needed to get my whole roof. They physically came out and gave me a free estimate when others just looked up Google Earth for square footage. Rolando made me and my family feel very comfortable, he was very polite and answered all my questions and communicated professionally and quickly. The guys who worked on the roof, Wendell, Elkin, Reese and George, they went above and beyond. When the time comes, they will be the ones to redo my whole roof! Many thanks to the guys, Livia and Maria. read more

I called around to several roofers for a simple roof inspection required by my insurance company. Perkins was the first company to be professional, upfront with all costs and detailed how the inspection process worked. I scheduled an appointment for the following week. Inspector Marco called me 30 min before to advise me he was in route. Marco was extremely professional, knowledgeable and easy going. He explained everything to me and started the inspection. My neighbor was so impressed that he asked him for his info to make an appointment. Perkins is well-known and has plenty of business, so they are truly up-front and honest. They are an established company with years of experience. There prices are also reasonable and within the range of their so-called competitors. read more

I had a leak inside my house and called a number of roofing companies to come and take a look. I got a lot of different suggestions and cross-sells (e.g., replace roof, pressure wash). I had dealt with Rolando from Perkins a few years back when he saved me money by identifying a small crack on my roof. Called him again and he came and found and fixed the leak. They may not be the cheapest, but with the roof, you don't want to mess around trying to save a buck -- they did an excellent job, in a timely fashion and cleaned everything up. I told Rolando I hope I never have to see him again, but if I ever need a roof repair, will certainly call these guys back up. read more

December 2020: I asked Perkins to perform an inspection of my home roof, and they were able to come the same week. Rolando was very professional and thorough. I highly recommend their services. ***Update: 2/23/22. I re-contacted Perkins to complete a roof repair and to have multiple broken tiles replaced. Marco was extremely responsive, professional, fast, and had excellent communication. We were in a rush and they completed everything so quickly without sacrificing quality. It has been unimaginably difficult and disappointing finding reliable businesses for anything in Miami, but Perkins was fantastic. I highly recommend them!!! read more

When looking for a Roofing company to repair our company roof, we requested bids from different businesses, but Perkins Roofing stood out. Their estimate offered more for the cost compared to other roofing companies. Everyone from the president to the office personnel, to the project manager to the roofers were always professional, helpful, and patient throughout the process. We had questions and they always had answers. Marie from the office is the one I dealt the most with and she was delightful, knowledgeable, professional, and very helpful. We are very happy with the amazing job they did, and we highly recommend them. read more

Marco came to inspect my roof, he was out within a couple of days and spotted the area where water was infiltrating my home. He was the only person that provided a proposal of work to repair the damaged area only, several other people came out and said the entire roof was bad and needed to be replaced, which I knew was bull because my roof is under 10 years old. Marco represented Perkins Roofing as a professional, and I will recommend them to do any roof because they have been honest, they showed up to do the job that NEEDED to be done and they gave a very nice price for the work. Thank you Marco & Perkins Roofing. read more

Excellent family owned company. From start to finish Roly was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He is an outstanding sales representative of Perkins roofing. He answered every call and all my questions with professionalism and patience during the entire process. Glen the project manager took care of any issues or concerns I had right away. He made the Permit process a breeze and has tons of experience in this business. All the workers were very respectful of my property. No need to continue shopping for a roofing company, call them now for an estimate, I highly recommend. Great team! read more

In the Roofing Industry, response time is everything. Everyone claims to be the best in their particular field, yet, no one stakes their claim in the arena of response time. Perkins Roofing is one of the best in that area! If there's a problem, you will never have to worry about these guys being hard to reach. Tim, Jeremy, Nabeel, and Amber will always make themselves available to assist with any issues! Even in a late-night rainstorm, these guys will be onsite. Marie Ramos and Rolando Cruz are 2 of the best when it comes to customer service. read more

These guys are awesome. We had a rotted beam on our home, and during the work they found a little more damage than anticipated. They were very reasonable with cost, and repaired correctly rather than a band aid. We also had new seamless gutters installed around the entire house. These exceeded our expectations, look great, and we are now ready for this years rainy season. Rolando personally oversaw the repairs, texting pictures the whole time. I will definitely use them again if a roofing repair is needed in the future! read more

Around 5 years ago I used Perkins Roofing for a tricky leak repair for my home in Pembroke Pines. Other companies I contacted couldn't seem to find the issue, however; Perkins was able to pinpoint the leak and fix it promptly. They had flawless service and quality work. Recently I contacted Perkins Roofing again for a new roof on one of my rental homes in Miramar. Once again I was met with extreme professionalism. I highly recommend this company! Hats off to Dean, Tim and the crew. read more
