I just want to start by saying I am a wedding professional and am writing this review not just…read morebecause of the many weddings I have had the privilege of working with Ken, but also because he goes above and beyond before and after events as well as providing exemplary service and artistic flair during a couple's special day. I recently worked with Ken and he, as always, was very professional, easy to work with, and just fun to be around. That is not always a given in this industry. There are great people that really don't have the skills to put out great shots, and there are prima donnas that do great work but are a pain to be around. Ken is that package that does everything well. When I see that Ken is the photog at one of my events, my stress level immediately goes way down as I know everything will run smoothly. As a DJ who helps coordinates receptions it makes my job easier so I can concentrate on playing the perfect mix of music. I recently was interviewed for the RNR, and they needed some fun shots of me, so Ken and a couple of other photographers I respect graciously searched their archives for applicable photos. I am thankful for the time they spent going above and beyond. Reno has many wedding photographers but I only recommend a few to clients because I want their day to be exceptional and because a bad recommendation reflects poorly on me. I wholeheartedly recommend Ken Lewis for all your photographic needs.

I have nothing but great things to say about Reno Tahoes DJ Company!! The communication was…read moreflawless and prompt throughout the whole process of booking for the wedding up until the day of the wedding, and the pricing was fair too. Larry is an excellent MC/DJ and made sure that our wedding night went perfectly. He calls you several times when you book and then again before the wedding to make sure he has every detail correct, and makes sure you have the day you want. He also knows the flow of weddings very well and is able to help direct you in a normal flow so that a wedding planner is not needed (for this aspect, at least). I really cannot rave enough about how great everything went! Thank you for making my wedding day perfect! If you are in need of a DJ for your wedding or any occasion, I highly recommend Reno Tahoe DJ Company!

He was friendly, exuded professionalism, and made me feel confident that a DJ from his company would provide great A/V and master of ceremonies services. DJ Cooper did a fantastic job the day of our wedding. The music and microphones for our outdoor ceremony worked perfectly. I appreciated that there was both a lapel mic for our officiant and a hand-held mic for our reader. Larry and I discussed in advance our desired timeline for the post-ceremony events, and DJ Cooper helped everything flow beautifully. We chose the types of music genres that we wanted at various points in the evening, and DJ Cooper chose excellent suggestions and made sure the music was loud enough but not too loud. I can't believe how many of our friends and family members danced: even my boss, who told me afterward that he and his wife had never danced in public before! DJ Cooper faded out the music perfectly where we wanted it during the parent dance songs, and our first dance was coordinated splendidly to the music just as we wanted. Some of my favorite memories of the reception are dancing with my friends to an awesome 1940s swing tune and the crescendo of the pace of the last song of the night, which started out as a slow dance and then got rollickin'. I'm not sure how I had never heard Donna Summer's "Last Dance" before, but I'm so glad that DJ Cooper played it. We had distributed glow sticks for the grand exit right before DJ Cooper started that song, and seeing all my friends and family dancing under the dimmed lights, waving their glowsticks is one of my most joy-filled memories from our wedding day. Hands down, I recommend Larry Williams and his Reno Tahoe DJ Company to all my Reno area friends, family, and internet strangers.

Hola Yelpers! My…read morenow husband and I hired Ben back in July 2017 from our hometown Las Vegas to DJ and MC our wedding on Labor Day weekend in Northern Nevada. He was there doing a Charity event for sick children and met up with us during a quick break from the event. Not only was he super friendly and attentive to what we both wanted at our wedding, but also the different nationalities that would be attending our celebration. I had requested music from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s in English and in Spanish. We texted him a few sample songs we wanted to hear at different times of the day and he delivered! We heard songs that we loved growing up. Songs my mom would have playing in the background as she sewed and I played with my dolls...music that took me and all of our guest back to our youth, as well as music for the younger generation to dance to. He truly kept the guests entertained from the hour prior to the ceremony all the way through our send off. This man took the time to drive from his home all the way to where we were having the event, prior to the wedding day, so he could get a layout of where he would be setting up for the ceremony and then the reception. He met with my in-laws and they loved him as well. Ben is a true down to earth, solid and good hearted man. He went above and beyond and for that we are grateful to have met him and had him as part of our day. Eres familia Ben - Yanira and Mike Oxsen

My husband and I booked soundmixx entertainment for our wedding. Everything was wonderful when we…read morebooked, loved the fact the owner was a Combat vet. We emailed back and forth for song requests which was much easier for my husband and I to be contacted. I sent an email to Ben asking to request a song to be played for the groom, it was to be a song for my groom specially. Ben emailed me back said there would be no issue with attaining the song or having it played. The day before the event, my husband received an email stating Ben would not be attending but will be sending in his filler. So, no big deal we still have entertainment. Rob was a nice guy (the filler) he tried his best In getting the reception up and moving and dancing none of the songs we actually wanted played wasn't at all. just our first dance, mother son dance, garter toss and bouquet toss. The ceremony could have been better. I didn't get to walk to the song that was picked. By the time it came on, I was already at the alter. So wasted. And needless to say my aong for the groom wasnt played. As the night slowed, it hit about 7pm and my husband mentioned packing up and sending the DJ home. He went to find me who was trying to change out of my dress, we agreed to break down, when my husband returned to the reception hall, Ben showed up started breaking all the equipment down and asked for his payment. OUR CONTRACT PAID for 10 hours. We only received 6 hours. And was kicked out of our own venue on our wedding day the the fuck is that shit. Plus it's a busy day for a bride and groom things happen and the groom forgot payment at our house, Ben said per our contract he couldn't wait for payment, when we approached the minister and photographer they were fine with meeting up after our honeymoon for the payments. My mother in law called Ben to ask if he would take a credit card payment, she had to leave a message because he didn't answer. HE DIDN'T RESPOND BACK TO HER. I then took money out of our honey moon fund to pay for the dj. We then owned only 50.00 Ben proceeded to say we will meet up at a later time, well this didn't work for us because we were leaving and wouldn't be back when he wanted to meet up. I'm thinking to myself, it's 50 fucking dollars. Ben said he would call my husband on tuesday when we got back from our honeymoon to exchange the rest of the money. Very unprofessionaly, my husband recieived a text asking if we were in town yet and when we could meet. Many people find sending text for information like that is unprofessionaL and it was VERY. You say youll call, do it your a business owner, you should understand the curtousy of a call oh andI have always heard DON'T DRINk AT YOUR OWN GIG. Rob was trashed by the end of the night.
