The instructor is AMAZING, not only is he a master on his craft, he also LOVES to teach and shows…read moreyou step by step how to do things and explains you the why to do it a certain way. Even though he teaches realism, he emphasizes on being your self. He tells you to feel your art and to not copy but rather interpret it through your own view. He is opinionated and has a strong point of view and that is great because most artists now in days would rather just go with the flow out of fear of not being liked. His wife is also an instructor and super nice.

Monica is an amazing teacher. I was vacationing near Miami and wanted to start learning calligraphy…read moreas a New Year's resolution. I found Monica on a google search and feel like I couldn't have been more fortunate in finding a teacher. Her teaching is so meticulously thought out and the practice lessons are simple yet so precise as to yield excellent results. When she explains the nuances of lettering, breaking down shapes and spacing of letters and and how all of it effects the finished impression, I'll never look at handwriting the same again. She has volumes of books that she put together to help with whatever style calligraphy one is interested in and was able to, with a short conversation, figure out exactly what was best for my goals. I walked in with zero experience and a pretty rough scrawl and am confident with consistent practice with her methods that I will absolutely succeed. I will definitely be scheduling another lesson on my next trip to Florida.

Afterward, I browse around the gallery a little bit. There was so much to see from the 14 artists represented in the gallery, and the art show from the Art Guild of the Purple Aisles, that I will have to come back on another day to see it all. I highly recommend this studio and gallery.

We finally decided to try it out and honestly, I'm so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, everyone was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and patient with us. That was huge because we definitely had a LOT of questions about the rug making process lol. Nobody ever made us feel rushed or annoying, and they explained everything really well. I also loved the huge variety of yarn colors they had to choose from. Besides tufting, they also offer pottery and other fun activities, which makes the whole place feel really creative and unique. The studio itself was such a vibe too. They offered complimentary drinks while we worked on our rugs, which was a really nice touch, and they even have a little coffee shop inside where you can buy coffee and other specialty drinks while you're there. The overall experience was awesome. They walk you through everything step by step, so even beginners can do it without feeling overwhelmed. I also really liked that if you don't finish your rug, you can leave it there and come back another day to continue working on it. 1000% recommend this place if you're looking for something different and fun to do!

I had never taken a pottery class and was so excited to learn the ropes. There are 10 wheels here, so our group of 10 was able to arrive a little early, drink wine and eat some snacks we brought before learning the ropes of ceramics. Victor was our instructor and he was amazing! He first did a demonstration on how to work with the clay and start to make your piece. Then he helped us to create our own pieces. We got to make 3 different things. One item is included in your class price and you can purchase the other 2 for just $8 each. It's a hands on experience but so awesome to learn a new skill and get to be able to take your creation home. I will definitely look into more classes as I truly enjoyed my experience with the class.
