Its park & ride is also very easy for people to park their cars and hop on the buses. I think this TC is slightly more confusing than the Bellevue Transit Center. E.g, bus 221 going to different directions leave the same Bay area. Otherwise, this transit center is pretty cool.

This is the main public transit center for the Microsoft Redmond campus and the current terminus for the 2 Line which will extend further into Redmond later this year. With the upgrades made to this facility, there is now a coffee shop (Dote Coffee Bar) at the station and coverage from the weather if you are waiting for a bus at the station (except if you are taking a 245 or B Line bus). The parking garage has also been expanded, so it is easier to find a space here than previously. The only thing I don't like about the upgrade is that I still need to walk across the bridge most of the time to catch a bus westbound to Seattle.

I've taken the bus a few times here, and it's always been an easy process. Compared to other transit centers, this one doesn't feel as populated. I've never had to wait in a line to get on the bus from here. Also, all of the posts are marked, to indicate where to wait at for a particular route/bus. It's an easy process. I just love that this transit center is downtown, with bus routes from Seattle and other Eastside suburbs. It's accessible, easy, and never busy. Plus, cars can also use the lanes that the buses use for pick-ups and whatnot.

The cost is $2.75 each way with free transfers, most easily accessible via an Orca card (rechargable on-line, but not yet replaceable with a smartphone). We used the NE 24th St & Bellevue Redmon Rd stop, which was covered and had a display showing when to expect the next bus. It's a busy route, serviced by an articulated bus for both routes...definitely too long for streets (and corners) not equipped for it.

The bus services downtown Bellevue, Crossroads, Overlake, Microsoft and downtown Redmond neighborhoods. The route replaced two King County Metro routes, 230 and 253. Basically combining these services to offer more frequent service that were faster as they skipped bus stops that used to be serviced by the old routes. The RapidRide buses are new and have free Wi-Fi. You can also swipe your ORCA card to pay for your fare at the bus stop card reader before the bus arrives. This allows you to board the bus at one of the exit doors rather than having to pay at the driver side door upon entering. In general, buses run every 15 minutes for most of the day. During weekday rush hours, there is service every 10 minutes. While in the late evenings, there is a 30 minute wait. I don't use the bus often, but do when I am headed to the airport as I can take this bus to connect with the Sound Transit route 560 at Bellevue Transit Center. Though it takes longer to get to the airport, it saves me a bundle over parking at or taking a taxi/Uber to the airport. More often than not, it takes longer to get where you need to on public transportation. But I think this RapidRide line is great since it is convenient and is helping to minimize the delay. Particularly useful when I need to get to downtown Bellevue in a timely manner.

A multi-story parking garage was built several years ago to provide additional parking spaces at this park and ride. I don't use this park and ride very often since I live in Bellevue. The park and rides at Eastgate, Mercer Island and South Bellevue are more convenient. Though if you live in Kirkland, this is probably your best option if you are going to park and commute into Seattle from here. There are a few buses that stop here. A few of them are more localized as they make stops only within Kirkland, though there is a bus that goes to Kenmore. And then there is the Metro bus 255 which goes to Kingsgate and Downtown Seattle. There are buses every 30 minutes each way on the weekends. But there is more frequent service (10-15 minutes) on weekdays. The good thing about waiting for the bus here is that buses stop in the same location in both directions. Though you do need to make sure you read the destination sign to make sure you are catching the right bus. The park and ride itself is fine. I just don't frequent it often because it is farther away and there isn't as much bus service to places where I am going. It is a bit more convenient if you are headed to the U-District and north Seattle as the buses that stop here going to Seattle use 520 instead of I-90.

The man who answered said he could pick her up in an all-wheel drive vehicle and that he'd be monitoring her flight arrival time. After she got her bag, she texted him and then called him twice and left a message - with the same phone number I used to book the ride, 206.883.0666. No answer or reply to her message. And no record of a call or message from him on her phone. She spent the night at the airport. I called him the next day to inquire, and he said he'd waited an hour at the airport and tried to call her multiple times but that his calls went to voicemail. He said he didn't leave her a message. She has no record of a call from that number or any other number at that time. I'm assuming he still had my cell number on his caller ID from earlier in the evening but he didn't call me. Also, the website gives two different Redmond, WA addresses as a business location. Neither is a legitimate Redmond address. It opened almost 1 year after the initial opening of the 2 Line, and provides easy access to downtown Redmond. Our family took a Sunday afternoon train ride ($3 per person) from the current southernmost station (South Bellevue) to here, a ride taking under 30 minutes. It is within easy walking distance of many restaurants, and the large H-Mart as well. Definitely doable to take the train from Bellevue to here, to do a little Korean grocery shopping.

Its central location is walking distance to the Redmond Town Center and the Downtown Redmond Park and many restaurants and shops. I actually visit Redmond a lot, so to have a public transit option is swell, especially if I plan for a night out. There's also a trail nearby that gets you to the Marymoor Village station, the next stop over that's great for bicycling and walking. There are two entrances with stairs, escalators and elevators and is a clean, spacious station that's easy to find in Redmond. There's really not much to complain about with this station, if anything. I'm glad we can finally ride light rail to downtown Redmond.

That was more than my airfare to get from Orange County! So the bargain shopper in me decided to look for a Shuttle and I immediately found Eagle Shuttle Service! $30 Flat Rate! No luggage restriction (I only had a carry on) and so with tip ($6) and tax I saved over $70 and You should too!!! I called them prior to my flight to ask which one they one they thought I should get on, 10:00 AM or 11:00 AM, according to my flight schedule. And the lady that answered, Helen, was so nice she even offered to call me back with an answer after speaking with a driver. She was so helpful that I did not hesitate to book the shuttle! They give you Very detailed instructions on how to find the pick up area and I found that very easy to do. I had never been to the SEA-TAC airport and I found my way quite easily. I then called just to make sure that I was in the right spot. The man was very nice. My shuttle arrived, the driver, Ahmad, hopped right out, put bag my bag in the back, opened the door to a very clean van and off we went! It was just me and him! Just like being in an over sized Uber or Lyft! (that would have cost a lot more!) And fortunately for me they go to 5 Hotels in Bellevue and the first one is the Hilton Bellevue, where I was staying! SCORE!!! The ride was pleasant, my driver friendly and informative! I HIGHLY recommend Eagle Shuttle Service, if you are staying in the Bellevue area at any of the 5 hotels they service! What's worse ApplePay automatically input a wrong number so they weren't able to reach me. The shuttle driver tried contact me multiple times and headed to SeaTac first just in case, when I finally called him he immediately headed back towards Bellevue and picked me up at the right location. I made the flight in time. It took them twice the drive but he didn't give up reaching me and even rejected my offer for a gratuity. Really moved by the service!! Will stay as a loyal customer.
