I literally got off at the very next exit and called the restaurant to order two more pork chops! I am not exaggerating when I say: I am one month away from turning 66 and this were the best chops I have EVER eaten! My Mom is from GA and she's a really good cook. My granny lived in Valdosta and when my Mom married my Dad they moved to his home in VA. I only saw my grandma once a year and I tell you her cooking was the best I ever had. Since she died over 50 years ago I have searched for good country cooking and never found any as good as hers. I've traveled all over the country extensively and seriously been in every soul food/country cooking restaurant I could find trying to find something to compare to her cooking. Today I found it!!! The collard greens were delicious as well as the mashed potatoes. But the cornbread and chops were so damned good I can't even describe it I'm gonna be working here for the next 4-5 years and these folks are gonna get to know me like family!!!
