Super cute brewery I visited recently for an event. I have been meaning to check them out and was not disappointed. Large and open space with lots of seating. They mentioned plans to expand and it sounds like it will be a great enhancement. I love the wall design that shows the current options. I love sours and was so excited to see they had a few options. First up: Sauce. I was not ready for the appearance. It looked like something your get a coffee shop. I was intrigued by the rhubarb and the staff said it's a seasonal item so I said what the heck. 9/10. The flavors mesh well together and tou get just a little but of sweetness on top of the sour. The consistency was a tad thicker than usual but I enjoyed it. Next up: Love Joy. Much larger than I expected. Lemon flavor was evident without being too overpowering. Perfect for a starter option. Bathroom: clean Prices: $ very reasonable Parking: no issue with parking along the street outgrowth Ambiance: open, inviting and encourages mingling read more

Cool location, wide variety of options (even for people who don't actually drink beer), lots of open space, and solid service. It's a brewery - so I wouldn't expect all of the bells and whistles - but this is the perfect place to come hang out and grab a couple of drinks in a great space/environment that feels lively enough to be different than having beers at home. Solid choice! read more

Service: Excellent and everyone is knowledgeable, especially regarding recommendations and customized beverages. Ambiance: very chill with so much potential, though I wish they would add tvs or an occasional DJ as it seems a ton of games have been moved. They have an excellent beer selection, so whether you like hoppy or dry, ale or pilsner they have you covered. If you like beer, you better stop through! Curbside parking is plentiful and they usually have a food truck ot two. read more

Soul & Spirits Brewery - A flight. I was being experimental. The far left contained strawberry puree I think and I didn't hate it. Says a lot - Breweries Near Me - Memphis, Tennessee

Good vibes. LOVE the Memphis print vending machine. Lots of options for a brewery. Different food trucks every night, but I went on empanada night and they were heavenly. read more

This brewery has a much nicer vibe since I last visited in 2022. They put up decorative lights inside which adds to the experience. The large tables are also great for games. Also the rotating food trucks are a treat. If not sitting at the bar, ordering a beer is like a coffee shop by going to the front near the menu. Service is good. Their New Zealand Pils was a great beer. I've never had a Pilsner from there so it was nice to get a taste of it. The Dark End stout was good too, but a contrasting change when switching from the pils. Check it out, this area of town is beginning to come around nicely. read more

Service: Excellent. First time experiencing this brewery! Ambiance: Casual. A treasure brewery serving up specialty crafts, and is one of the best spots in Memphis. Food: None. My favorite craft beer is the Sauce. It's sour and not too sweet, so if you're into ciders this is a close match. Hound Dog is a close second favorite! Stop by, have a spirit or two...three...no judgement just smiles and good times! Or grab a pack to go, either way it's refreshing. Favorite brew: the Sauce and, Hound Dog! read more

Tried a few beers on tap/in rotation and I LOVED them! Now originally I came here for my dinner from Sobie's flying chicken! I absolutely love his smoked and deep fried hens and FRIES! All of his sauces/spices are house made and it's a winner every time! SUPPORT THIS MAN! Now back to the hops... I'm more into sour beers these days and they had some really cool ones! Some even with the option of adding your own syrup ..I chose Raspberry which is one of the top choices along with strawberry, and woodruff syrups! I'm in love! The space is huge and I hear it gets packed around 6 or so! If Chef Sobie is here, then get here early before the crowd to ensure you get what you want before sell out! Sedona (sp?) was a huge help in deciding what I should choose based on my preferences! read more

Hello Memphis. If you have not been to Soul & Spirits you need to make this a priority. What an awesome Venue! My experience here at Soul & Spirits was a private party to celebrate the life of my much loved nephew Tate. There name says it all Soul & Spirits exactly as he would have wanted. The space is enormous I believe I saw a sign that it maxed out at 500. Wow one of the biggest breweries I have ever seen. The beer list is long and oh so interesting. I had a juicy ipa and an amber. There names escape right now. Wow! The staff.. all I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of The Parker's Family heart. You all deserve a hospitality award! Those that loved Tate started showing up and for hours they never stopped coming. You never missed a beat taking beer orders and delivering every single one with a smile. Thank you Soul & Spirits! Cheers! read more

Memphis folks - welcome to your favorite new brewery in town! I was lucky enough to have a chance to see Soul & Spirits before its grand opening, and as someone who grew up in the area, I can tell you this new spot is just the thing the city will love. The space is based on 4 different styles of breweries: the German beer hall (long communal tables), the UK pub (bar), the American game bar (so many fun games like a giant chess board, darts, and more!), and the Belgian drinking spot (a quieter room designed for more intimate conversations and small board games). You really can find anything you're looking for here. Dog friendly, amazing staff, and a wide selection of beers and sodas! (For gluten free folks like me or those who don't drink, there's many housemade sodas to choose from--I enjoyed the root beer--and seltzer.) Plus, you don't want to miss the murals - both inside and out. Come for beer, stay for the community. read more

The vibe here is perfect if you want a fun night out with friends that also offers a chill environment. We really enjoyed playing darts with our friend, and thought it was one of those experiences that is need a low key night while also being out, Soul and Spirits provides both in one. They have an expansive beer list for varying different taste buds to enjoy. My husband and our friend enjoyed a couple of a beers a piece. For me, I was a bit disappointed they did not have a cider on tap for me, but I did try their house-made soda. I felt that it tasted pretty flat, and didn't offer much for me. I think you should definitely people should invest in the beer rather the soda based on the two different varieties I tried. Soul and Spirits has a vast amount of space for people who want to come in with larger groups including picnic tables, high top tables, bar seating, and plenty of standing room. Parking is limited, but you can find it. read more

Huge warehouse brewery with darts and even a room set aside for those who don't like the loud atmosphere of a brewery. Staff was very helpful and friendly - they took the time to try and create a sour that I was looking for. Lots of options to choose from but I am still on the hunt for the best sour in Memphis read more

Cool vibe with a HUGE selection of beers. All of the beers are named after blues songs (they have a Spotify playlist of their brews, too) and they have a seltzer for the gluten-free (plus house-made sodas for kids/alcohol free folks). The owners showed us around and they have a huge in-house set up which they were kind enough to show/explain the process. Would definitely come again! read more

Wow, such a cool place to hangout. You can definitely spend a big chunk of the day here. Big open layout, lots of dart boards, shuffle boards and other games to play for free. Such an interesting variety of beers. There's also a quiet room with extra board games and nice seating. Service is efficient and friendly. Love the murals outside. Wish it was easier to get to :( read more

Great beer and friendly people. What's not to like?? Widest selection of beers in town. Something for everyone.

My friends and I were looking for something to do to kill an afternoon down here in Memphis, and we decided to visit this brewery. The vibes here are excellent, and although I do not drink alcohol, the soda made in house was light and delicious. It is not heavily carbonated nor is it too sweet. I visit breweries quite often, and I'm glad they offered an option besides water on the menu for those who are typically the designated driver. There are plenty of things to do around the brewery. You can play a giant game of chess or checkers, or perhaps shoot a basketball. Foosball and cornhole are available as well. read more

This is probably THE COOLEST brewery I have ever been to. The brewery is in an old warehouse and the outside is covered in murals from local artists. The concept is based on four distinct beer cultures: German (long, communal tables in a beer hall layout), British (long, pub style bar that encourages patrons to interact with their bartender), American (think of your favorite bar game, they have it), and Belgian (enclosed quiet space for studying, deep conversations, and board games). Soul and Spirits is the perfect spot to hang with your friends and family (and pup!), but the brewery also encourages meeting new folks and making community connections! The beer itself is top notch. All of the beers are named after songs written/recorded/produced by Memphis artists, giving this brewery a true Memphis community vibe. I was able to chat with the master brewer, Ryan, and you can tell that he is so passionate about what he does! He took the time to really dig into the process and explain the flavor profiles. Regardless of your beer preferences, you'll find something you enjoy. My mother, who swears there is not a beer out there that she'll drink, absolutely loved the Need a Little Sugar (sour), and I must admit, this sour became one of my favorites, too! It's still a bit hot in Memphis and this beer was crisp and refreshing. ***Insider tip (recommended by Ryan): add woodruff to the beer for an extra punch of flavor! I also enjoyed the Hoochie Coochie (named after the famous Muddy Water tune), a classic American IPA that is rich in flavor and with a bright burst of citrus. If you're interested in a unique brew, I suggest the Smoke Stack, a dark lager with a smoky finish. I'm not sure how they did it, but they were able to capture the smoky essence of a BBQ pit and stick it into a beer. It was awesome. Want to try everything? Soul and Spirits offers 6 pour flights so that you can go on an adventure of flavor. Gluten free or just don't dig beer, no problem! Soul and Spirits offers a hard seltzer and you pick the flavor! Under 21? Try one of their house-made sodas! Seriously, there is something for everyone here. So bring the family! Bring the dog! And come thirsty! TLDR: GO TO THIS BREWERY. Excellent, unique beer. Community focused vibes. You'll be inspired to write a long review, too. read more

This place is by far one of my favorite breweries. It had over 20 beers on top and the option to add flavors to your beer (I.e., pumpkin spice). They have lots of seating & a "quiet room" if you looking for a more intimate space to chat! read more

Awesome space, amazing beer and wonderful customer service, 10/10 recommend! Something for everyone!

Wonderful new indoor/outdoor brewery in Memphis. It's a large warehouse turned into a beer hall with over 10 different beers on tap at any given day. We tried a few different flights haven't found a beer we didn't like. The huge beer hall can accommodate very large groups. This is our new favorite hangout in the area. read more

Super cool brewery visit for us as we were visiting Memphis!! A huge space for the brewery, tasting room, and lots of games for people to place - including cornhole, life-size checkers and chess, darts and shuffle board. This brewery even had a quiet room for those who wanted space!! A plethora of choices, wonderful people, and lots of fun!! The owners and her parents were fabulous to talk to!! If you happen to be there in September, definitely spend Oktoberfest with them as it's happening right at the time of Munich's Oktoberfest!! Worth a visit!! read more
