BEWARE! The owner Chad Edwards is a lair, a crook, and a thief. I was having issues with my Sprinter van, and after researching my options, I sent my vans computer into SOS to be programmed. They has for FOUR parts: Key,Skreem unit, old ecm, replacement ecm. After sending in the parts with the required paperwork, I received a call from a female representative on a Friday stating that my ecm had been programmed and was ready to ship back. She asked for my debit card info, and the price was a higher than the email quoted. She stated it was for shipping costs and was clearly stated in the email with the quote. As I spoke to her, I pulled up the email, and it did not say anything about shipping costs. I explained this to her, and she brushed it off. I paid and inquired if SOS would be interested in purchasing my old ecm. She said I would need to speak with the owner, Chad Edwards. I sent him an email immediately after and he responded they would purchase the ecm if it was "good" for $185, but would need to test it on Monday. I asked him to wait until Monday to ship my parts back to me, so he could test the ecm, and if they weren't interested, he could send ALL my parts back to me. I received the package the next week, and my old ecm was not in the package. I received an voicemail from a rep stating my ecm was bad, and they would dispose of my property (READ: My property). I sent an email thanking Chad for programming my ecm, but informed him that I wanted my old ecm (my property) returned to me. He proceeded to lie and state that I had not asked for him to wait to send the package back, so I referred to earlier message that was clear. Chad Edwards proceeded to talk down to me in a condescending unprofessional manner, and never apologized. After several of these unprofessional emails, he said he would contact his shipping department for a shipping quote, and I countered that he was paying shipping back to me, as it was his companies error that had led to mess. He agreed to send my property back, and after I emailed to confirm, he stated they were closed on Fridays, yet they called me on a Friday to accept payment, and shipped my partial package on a Friday. More lies and games from Mr. Edwards. Mr. Edwards emailed on January 13th, 2019 stating:
"Yes, I agree, I should have called you before shipping your package, but again, our primary concern was getting your good ECM to you ASAP and I was very busy last week. I assumed you would appreciate this. Your package was sealed up and ready to ship a week ago when you added the request to purchase your old ECM. We had to pull your part from the line to the Post Office, remove your ECM, repack it and then send it to the Post Office. The non-working one was of little to no concern. It is after all DEAD. Your demanding we ship it immediately is unreasonable. However, since I did make a mistake by assuming, we will ship your dead ECM back next week on our dime if you insist"
I have not received it back. I noticed that SOS sells the ecm that Chad Edwards stole from me for $795 on the website. So they had 795 reason to steal from me, which this is clear. I am willing to provide any supporting documents and email to this case. If SOS responds without a tracking number to Fallston, MD 21047, than they are indeed thieves. Chad Edwards, I hope you find some peace someday, you are obviously a sad angry man, and shouldn't be running a business. read more
