Got my first tattoo here over 4 years ago. They got me in the same day for a very personal request and the artwork came out great!

I was referred to Rebecca by a close friend whose tattoo I absolutely loved. I reached out to…read morerequest a piece for my daughter. I absolutely loved not only the art she created for me, but her amazing personality. Rebecca is a great listener, and brings a calm vibe to what could have been a stressful experience. She has done 6 pieces for me that I adore. I get complimented on them very frequently. Her unique style and light hand translate so well on skin. I have referred 3 clients to her who have also had a fantastic experience. I'm planning on returning for two more pieces this year. I cannot recommend her enough.

Rebecca is truly a gifted tattoo artist. I have two completed pieces from her and they are both…read moreabsolutely beautiful. However, my relationship with her as a customer ended quite abruptly. My first tattoo from her was a beautiful little flower with puppy paws behind one ear. The second was a gorgeous fairy on my back right shoulder. There was a very small detail in that tattoo that didn't quite fit my vision. There was a conversation with her about it at the time, and when I made my appointment with her to have my third tattoo, she said she would look at it. I had told her that it needed very little tweaking, it was mostly a perspective issue, my eye just wasn't quite seeing it the same way hers did. When I came in for my third tattoo, she showed me what she had come up with, and the kind of flowers were perfect, but I asked for more of them, a bigger cluster of flowers, not just two flowers. She seemed to get agitated when I made that request, even rolled her eyes at me. When I mentioned the small tweak to amend the fairy tattoo on my shoulder, her demeanor immediately became very hostile, rude and angry. She told me that I am the most controlling customer she has ever met, complaining that I have "all these opinions." I apologized more than once, told her I was very sorry if I offended her and said that that was not my intention. I never told her that she effed up the tattoo, never said that she made a mistake or that she had done anything wrong. I had very clearly said "it's a perspective thing" because I did not want to offend her. I was very careful in my speaking. None of my responses really mattered, her face was contorted with rage, and I was mostly stunned. When she kept criticizing my opinions, the only thing I said was "well it's going to be on my body for the rest of my life." She acknowledged that and said that she's an artist and that she is very sensitive. I personally believe that anyone getting a tattoo SHOULD have opinions and should feel free to express them to the tattoo artist. I've been a hairdresser for 40 years. I have extensive conversations with new clients to determine what they want and don't want, but over the years, of course, there have been times when somebody called me a few days later and said something wasn't quite right. I would have them come in as soon as possible and make whatever adjustments were necessary, without any attitude or rudeness. That's kind of how it is in a service based business. I'm not a robot, and neither is Rebecca. There are times when your vision may not quite match the customers. And it shouldn't cause this kind of huge upset. As a professional, I would just listen to the customer and do whatever I could to make them happy. She told me that she would make the little tweak on my shoulder tattoo, but she wasn't willing to ever work on me again. She made the little tweak, it probably took five minutes and it's perfect. All that drama over such a little thing. So much upset, I'm sure it ruined her day and I hope that after some reflection, she realized that her reaction was a bit out of proportion. Not to mention completely unprofessional. It was not at all the peaceful and relaxing environment that her website promises. It was not the safe space that her website promises. I also did not receive the exceptional customer service that her website promises. Nonetheless, for the beauty of her work, I would have to give her a solid five stars because she truly is talented. Her flowers and butterflies are exquisite. For her professionalism, I would give her a solid one star. Her ego and mood rules the day. Her specialty seems to be very delicate flowers, which is ironic, because I also found her to be a very delicate flower.
