He picked the placement of my double flat piercing and made me feel comfortable to give feedback until I found a placement I enjoyed. When I said I was planning to get my nose pierced in solidarity and to ease her nerves, they counseled me to do her piercing first, because sometimes seeing the process can add to nerves rather than ease them. Appointments were easy to schedule online, and we booked with Dee, who was fantastic. Very calm and patient, explained everything she was going to do and talked us through it as she went, helped us to breathe through our anxiety, and then it was over. It's taken me some time to think out what I wanted to say, especially because of how aghast and upset I was by the way Mickey handled my situation. My sister and I went to get pierced by Mickey back in March. We got into her studio and immediately she started listing off all the latest piercing trends, told us about how she "knows" what people are getting nowadays before even considering to ask what we each individually wanted, were looking to get, or what we envisioned for our ears. I didn't want the "latest" trend, I already had something in mind-- but rather than hearing my opinion on what I wanted, she immediately made it about what she thought I would want. We were met with this "I know what I'm talking about and you don't" attitude from the get go, and I felt like my opinion, if voiced, would've been shut down. I also went in not entirely sure about the piercing I wanted-- I needed to look at the jewelry she had on display to make sure I saw something I liked-- so tell me why she went behind her desk and just started going on her ipad rather than guiding us and sharing insight. We end up getting our piercings-- I got a lobe and my sister got a conch piercing. A few days later, and after talking to my friends about the price-- they all told me that I absolutely got up-charged (they've gotten pierced before for no more than $60). My sister and I's total was $475 with the $60 tip I gave her. So I discuss this over with my friends and my sister, and she looked up the brand of jewelry that Mickey pierced us with. My piece was $39.95, and my sister's piece was $40.84. How does that price on their website turn into $135 for each piece of jewelry?? Mickey charged us THREE times the price of the jewelry, absolutely insane. So I write out a text about ten days after we get pierced, and ask for a partial refund. I would've understood if Mickey had charged one or two times the price of the jewelry, but going from a piece worth $40 to $135 is flat out taking advantage of your customers. In my text, I approached her with curiosity-- I asked what the her reasoning was for up-charging three times the price of the jewelry, I gave her the math, and explained why I was frustrated and told her that at the least, I needed a partial refund if she could not explain why she up-charged us so much. She didn't respond. The NEXT day, I happened to look at her Instagram story, and saw that she re-posted a reel of another piercer. As I'm listening to it, I realize that the piercer is talking about my text that I sent to Mickey the day prior, and he's using the EXACT language that I used within my text. So not only did Mickey just choose not to respond to my text, she went and had a piercer friend of hers post about my situation and talk about my text, on social media. In the video he talks about me somehow getting insider information on what the jewelry actually costs when they sell it to these piercers, but it is literally public information-- all you have to do is look up the brand and find the piece of jewelry you bought in order to find out that you got up-charged like hell by Mickey. It doesn't take much. So you could only imagine how infuriated I am, and still am to this day, by the way Mickey handled this entire situation. The utter LACK of professionalism is absolutely appalling. The fact that you couldn't even respond to my text, but went and had your friend post a video talking about me and what I texted you, WORD for WORD is just unbelievable. Every one of these one star reviews are true, from her attitude to how she lacks professionalism, to how she responds to situations after scamming you, do not go and get pierced by Mickey. (I'd be happy to share the video with anyone who wants to see!)

I was really nervous after having a horrible first time septum piercing where the piercer pierced my septum crooked, hit the cartilage and then blamed my nose shape. I've wanted a cartilage for quite some time so I decided to get a second opinion and I'm really glad I did. Bruce was extremely knowledgeable and re-assuring. He took a look and told me I could probably get one but he would verify once he was able to check my nose. He was able to immediately determine the septum spot was higher up. The pain was extremely minimal. I really appreciated that Bruce walked me through every step of the process. I'll definitely be back.

My one feedback and note would be to mention that visitors do have the option to "try-on" jewelry if they are torn between sizes or colors of jewelry because I think some newcomers wouldn't be aware they could do that if it's not mentioned. My friend asked to try a couple of jewel sizes and that was really helpful with decision making. (By try-on, you are just holding the jewelry piece up to yourself and checking yourself out in the mirror :P ) They offer titanium and gold jewelry here. Many beautiful pieces. They also sell saline spray (for $15 if I remember correctly) which I picked up since I was traveling and will be traveling again. Lacy pierced me and she was soooo amazing! Consultation - Tabitha asked via phone if i was given the option or made aware of threadless vs threaded jewelry, i was not nor was I given the option between the two. (Im assuming since you guys only carry threadless anyways.) Lacy said the piercings could get expensive when downsizing multiple sizes & when custom jewelry becomes a thing (she gave me an example of hers that have a wide flat back) which i understood. I was never told the jewelry on hand would be so flimsy or else i would have left with a spare set. or why wouldnt that be offered if its a known thing that theyre just going to break soon after? I was greeted by the nice lady in the front who helped us pick a nose ring. My review is mainly for the piercer, when I sat in the chair, he didn't greet me and I saw him grab the jewelry and rinse it under the faucet for 2 seconds. He never washed his hands and he put gloves on dirty hands. He then proceeded to remove my current jewelry, and never swabbed my piercing hole with anything. He just began placing the new ring which I never saw him sanitize. Through out the whole process not once was anything sanitized. He also seemed off like he was a drug user. My friend had the same experience and also co firmed she never saw him sanitize anything when he was servicing me. NEVER AGAIN, I regret coming here. I hope I don't get infected.
