Tracy at the front desk was super helpful with check in and my questions about jewelry and what not. My one feedback and note would be to mention that visitors do have the option to "try-on" jewelry if they are torn between sizes or colors of jewelry because I think some newcomers wouldn't be aware they could do that if it's not mentioned. My friend asked to try a couple of jewel sizes and that was really helpful with decision making. (By try-on, you are just holding the jewelry piece up to yourself and checking yourself out in the mirror :P ) They offer titanium and gold jewelry here. Many beautiful pieces. They also sell saline spray (for $15 if I remember correctly) which I picked up since I was traveling and will be traveling again. Lacy pierced me and she was soooo amazing! She was really through with her explanations and I felt very comfortable with her. Everything went so smoothly and it was mostly painless - only a pinch in the process but no discomfort after the jewelry was already in. My friends and I left with super cute nostril piercings! Highly recommend this studio. Very grateful and happy with the experience here.

When leaving, i was asked for my information & to enroll in ur $5 off coupon which was at 8:16pm on 4/11/26. almost exactly two hours, not sure which manager looked into that but i did not randomly chose that number. Consultation - Tabitha asked via phone if i was given the option or made aware of threadless vs threaded jewelry, i was not nor was I given the option between the two. (Im assuming since you guys only carry threadless anyways.) Lacy said the piercings could get expensive when downsizing multiple sizes & when custom jewelry becomes a thing (she gave me an example of hers that have a wide flat back) which i understood. I was never told the jewelry on hand would be so flimsy or else i would have left with a spare set. or why wouldnt that be offered if its a known thing that theyre just going to break soon after? "our management team has reached out multiple times" - Tabitha called me on 4/20/26 at 2:03pm post yelp review & asking me to elaborate which i did. she apologized & said she would investigate & immediately followed up asking if i could "take down the yelp review" I initially agreed but im so glad i didnt. All that was asked of me was to pick a date & time & she will have someone replace the jewelry that broke at the el monte location but she would have to call me back & let me know if there was someone at that location who COULD do it & that she would call back. when she called back at 2:38pm 4/20/26 she stated ordering a threaded set would take 6-8 weeks & that she will order my downsize. we agreed on that solution & hungup. Then 4/28/26 Tabitha texts me & there was no solution so we could agree on so thanked her & left it at that (screenshots attached as well) "waived fees" - crazy cause you guys swear this is something special. when i get my nails done & one breaks theyre quick to fix it FOR FREE & not keep reminding me that breakage could happen nor badgering me that IM at fault for it/knew the risks. Theres no fee to waive if i want to put the jewelry in my own face for free which you guys denied me of because u didnt want to mail them to me. "we offered appointments at our other locations with free parking lots" - text attached of Tabithas convo but she definitely stated STREET parking, exactly how the LA location is so.. not sure where the "Convenience & Options" were. sorry it came to this Leo, maybe ask both sides next time instead of just listening to one.

I just wish I remembered the name of the woman who helped us because she made such an impression. She walked us through all the options at different price points in a way that felt completely neutral and respectful. There was no subtle steering toward something more expensive. It genuinely felt like whatever we chose was the right choice. Ivy, my piercer, was incredibly thorough and precise. I really want to stress how pleasant and painless this piercing was. I am talking pain level 0 out of 10. I AM NOT MAKING THAT UP. She is extremely clean in her process and talked me through every step so I always knew what was happening. My husband and I got matching tattoos here and for the tattoo itself it's 3 stars. Today, it has been 3 days since we got the tattoo and although the tattoo itself is small, has fine lines, and is on the wrist, it appears as if it has a smear/smudge on one of the corners on both tattoos. This isn't my first tattoo, and my husband and I have been following the after care and have been careful. It's on the healing stage, but you can tell that the corner line differs and there is a smudged area on both tattoos. For both these it was $240 total and done by Chris. I will update this review once the tattoos heal completely.

When I first met her, I was in a really bad place with my health. I was living with some very serious health issues and was just overall struggling so much and truthfully, I felt like a foreigner in my own body. I first got a Wicked tattoo done by her and when I walked into Supersweet, I was so nervous. I had many other tattoos but I was just in a very vulnerable place and at that time, everything made me anxious. When she sat down with her designs, what she had come up with took my breath away. It was so much better than I could have ever imagined and it was the most stunning design I'd ever seen. As we sat down to get started, she could tell that I was nervous and was so gracious, gentle, compassionate and understanding, and really took her time to make sure I felt safe. This meant the world to me. After that, I was scheduled to have a tattoo with her again, and I needed to cancel bc I ended up having emergency back surgery. She was, again, so kind, loving, understanding and supportive. I have since come in and gotten quite a few more tattoos with her and for the first time in so long, my body feels like my own again and I am excited to look down and see my beautiful tattoos done by her. I fully intend to be her client from now until, honestly, however long she'll have me. Her work is stunning and I have so much fun at our sessions. I was definitely giving toddler energy by kicking my feet and asking questions and she totally entertained every second of it. We talked about movies, tv shows, travel, music, etc. The conversation totally helped distract from the pain and before i knew it the session was over. I thought parking would be tough, but i went on a Saturday afternoon and found parking relatively easily a block away on Lake Shore Ave. The quality of work is top notch and my tattoo came out exactly as i wanted it to. Chontel is amazing and so incredibly helpful. You can follow her and ask her questions about aftercare. Make sure to get your piercings downsized if they recommend it! It's $10 for the post and $5 for the piercing disc. Whenever Chontel isn't there, Lara is there, and she is also just as amazing and insightful as Chontel! Usually, the piercers are there from opening time until 8 pm, but you can always ask or text them to see if they are in for that day!

Surla was able to accommodate me super quick! I was a walk in and I really needed a touch up on my neck tattoo. He wanted double bands around his forearm and Sam was able to sketch it out and do the tattoo on the same day. We were in and out within 1.5 hours. He explained the process and aftercare which made getting a tattoo seamless and less daunting. I was on the fence about getting a tattoo but my friend said if he got one I would have to get one too. I decided to get a runner with an ekg as I thought it was fitting for me. I wanted something small for my first tattoo and easily to keep hidden from my mom (sorry mom). He asked me to send him a picture of what I wanted and scheduled an appointment for Monday at 11am. Once Monday came I walked over and signed the consent form. He then printed out the tattoo and placed the outline on my chest and asked me if it was where I wanted it. Being a tattoo noob I trusted his judgement. After letting the outline dry I laid down and he began working on the piece. He said since it was a small tattoo and mainly lines there shouldn't be much pain and the healing process wouldn't be as long. It took about 30 mins to finish up the tattoo and the quality came out amazing. There was no pain at all and he went over the aftercare as well. I showed Sam this other tattoo I wanted and he said he would be able to do that as well. He says his art style is realism and anime so I can't wait to get more work done by him. He has been tattooing for 2 years now along with his apprenticeship. He told me to message him when I'm ready for my next piece. Maybe this tattoo thing is an addiction and will keep you coming back for more.

My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

Unexpected Charges and Lack of Transparency…read more I booked my appointment in person on Tuesday 7/15 because I wasn't sure what to select online for Gel-X removal. I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

Had concerns with my first gel-x experience. It was painful. The tech didn't listen to my requests…read more I did. I was unhappy with the service but still paid full price and tipped accordingly. I came back for a refill, and two days later was in some of the most pain I've ever been in due to a cuticle infection. I voiced concerns that my skin was being cut, but they were shrugged off. After coming into the salon to show them the infection, the front desk staff was polite and helpful advising they would reach out to the owner and share photos they took of the nail. Days passed and I followed up again via phone as I didn't hear back. The owner of the salon requested PHI pertaining to the infection, including what Rx I was on, in order to even consider a refund. Initially, a gift card for the amount spent on the service was offered in lieu of a refund. I mentioned I was not comfortable receiving another service, and received a call back letting me know the owner was willing to grant a refund. Overall, the back and forth took about a week and a half. I was new to the entire gelx process, and am posting this review to let anyone else looking to embark on that journey know they should ask questions and voice their concerns. There are seemingly many happy patrons, but this was my individual experience.

This past weekend I got my first tattoo by Ria ( @tattooist_kimria) in honor of my dog Hailey's passing 1 year ago. I felt like I got extremely lucky finding Ria, and the timing of it all worked so well that I was able to get set up on the 1-year anniversary of her passing. It was everything I could have asked for, and more. I had been to a couple of places to get quotes, and they didn't really sit there and take the time to understand this tattoo was really important to me, not only that it's my first, but that it was in memoriam of my dog of 15 years. I got a response quickly after submitting my information through VISM's website and began working on the scheduling and detail of the tattoo, sending photos over to Ria and her team for review. Ria came up with multiple designs and sent those, I think I knew in a matter of seconds because one of the photos felt like I could see Hailey's eyes again, it was honestly crazy. We worked through the final details, with Ria allowing me to make changes to the certain areas of the design, and she got it dialed in and sent over a few days before and it was perfect. I got to the studio and immediately felt comfortable in the space. Ria was great at working with my - this is my first tattoo and I went chest, too which all my friends built up that it would be painful. I was in the chair for maybe 2.5 hours total, didn't have to break at all. Ria was great at checking in with my throughout, but those 2.5 hours allowed me time to think back through the 15 years of Hailey and I's time together. It was truly a one of a kind experience, and one that I had been hoping to have with my first tattoo since I though of the idea. Ria was great in everyway and VISM Studio's support and direction on how to prepare for the tattoo, payment process, and all that was easy to understand. I highly recommend Ria if you are looking to memorialize your pup or kitty - I can't wait to see the finished result here in a month once it is fully healed. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Ria Kim. I recently got a tattoo in memory of my angel dog, Charlie, and it means more to me than I can put into words. From the very beginning, Ria treated my idea with so much care, patience, and respect. I don't really ever post reviews, but I wanted to highlight my experience with Ria and Vism Studio. After saying goodbye to our pup Neko last summer, our family spent many months mourning our loss. She was the best girl and I knew that I wanted to honor her with a tattoo. I came across Ria's paw print pet portraits on IG and instantly decided that was the design route I wanted to go in for my tattoo. After reaching out to express interest, I appreciated the email communication providing all the appointment and studio details, getting my questions answered, and being able to submit multiple photos of Neko and her paw print. Ria sent design draft options a couple days before my appointment and offered to make adjustments even on the day of, although none were needed because Ria is an incredibly talented artist! I found Ria through her beautiful work online. Her attention to detail and meticulous art execution is what drew me to her work. Scheduling the appointment was a breeze. The entire process from beginning to end was quick and straightforward. Getting to the studio was easy, and parking nearby was available to find. The studio itself is amazing. Clean, organized, properly lit and designed, it offered a comforting feeling from the moment you walk in. When it was time for the appointment, Ria took her time to ensure I was certain in what I liked, wanted, and placement and size. I can't say enough good things about this experience. I recently lost my dog, and getting this tattoo meant everything to me. Ria took the time to really understand what I wanted and brought my dog's memory to life in the most beautiful way. The level of detail, care, and emotion put into the piece truly made it the best tattoo I've ever had. This was my second tattoo from Ovenlee, and once again, I couldn't be happier! She was so meticulous and thoughtful throughout the entire process. Super sweet too -- she took after-photos and gave me detailed aftercare instructions, which I really appreciated. Her skillset is truly top tier - it was definitely a premium price, but worth every single penny. The receptionist was also incredibly kind and attentive, which made the entire experience even smoother. The studio itself was clean, bright, and had such a calming vibe. I got two tattoos by the artist Intat one in march 2024 and one in January 2025. The studio is clean and they are all extremely friendly! The bathroom is very nice as well! There is a Starbucks near by and I believe you can always order food for your breaks if you need one! I got two small dragon tattoos on my thighs, which are doing really great! Would definitely recommend going there as they have many artist with all different kinds of styles, I'm definitely coming back hopefully soon! read more

Amazing tattoo experience, highly recommend! I had Ria do a paw portrait of my dog and WOW, she is an incredible artist! The entire staff is friendly and studio is beautiful. Vism Studio is a tattoo studio with a relaxing vibe. It is clean and the staff are professional. Jebi is an amazing artist. She is professional and used her skills to create delicate details to bring my existing tattoo to life. She also touched up the capybaras (done by another artist) to match my original vision. I've gotten 6 tattoos from her and I'm getting ready to do another. She's great at fine-line work and botanicals. I'm so pain-averse but she makes me feel so comfortable I barely notice it. (Okay, well.... let's say she makes it worth it). The Eagle Rock shop is bigger and it has a great vibe, though it's different. She walked me through every step of the healing process as well as the shock/pain of a first tattoo.
