My one feedback and note would be to mention that visitors do have the option to "try-on" jewelry if they are torn between sizes or colors of jewelry because I think some newcomers wouldn't be aware they could do that if it's not mentioned. My friend asked to try a couple of jewel sizes and that was really helpful with decision making. (By try-on, you are just holding the jewelry piece up to yourself and checking yourself out in the mirror :P ) They offer titanium and gold jewelry here. Many beautiful pieces. They also sell saline spray (for $15 if I remember correctly) which I picked up since I was traveling and will be traveling again. Lacy pierced me and she was soooo amazing! She was really through with her explanations and I felt very comfortable with her. Everything went so smoothly and it was mostly painless - only a pinch in the process but no discomfort after the jewelry was already in. My friends and I left with super cute nostril piercings! When leaving, i was asked for my information & to enroll in ur $5 off coupon which was at 8:16pm on 4/11/26. almost exactly two hours, not sure which manager looked into that but i did not randomly chose that number. Consultation - Tabitha asked via phone if i was given the option or made aware of threadless vs threaded jewelry, i was not nor was I given the option between the two. (Im assuming since you guys only carry threadless anyways.) Lacy said the piercings could get expensive when downsizing multiple sizes & when custom jewelry becomes a thing (she gave me an example of hers that have a wide flat back) which i understood. I was never told the jewelry on hand would be so flimsy or else i would have left with a spare set. or why wouldnt that be offered if its a known thing that theyre just going to break soon after? "our management team has reached out multiple times" - Tabitha called me on 4/20/26 at 2:03pm post yelp review & asking me to elaborate which i did. she apologized & said she would investigate & immediately followed up asking if i could "take down the yelp review" I initially agreed but im so glad i didnt. All that was asked of me was to pick a date & time & she will have someone replace the jewelry that broke at the el monte location but she would have to call me back & let me know if there was someone at that location who COULD do it & that she would call back. when she called back at 2:38pm 4/20/26 she stated ordering a threaded set would take 6-8 weeks & that she will order my downsize. we agreed on that solution & hungup. Then 4/28/26 Tabitha texts me & there was no solution so we could agree on so thanked her & left it at that (screenshots attached as well) "waived fees" - crazy cause you guys swear this is something special. when i get my nails done & one breaks theyre quick to fix it FOR FREE & not keep reminding me that breakage could happen nor badgering me that IM at fault for it/knew the risks. Theres no fee to waive if i want to put the jewelry in my own face for free which you guys denied me of because u didnt want to mail them to me. "we offered appointments at our other locations with free parking lots" - text attached of Tabithas convo but she definitely stated STREET parking, exactly how the LA location is so.. not sure where the "Convenience & Options" were. sorry it came to this Leo, maybe ask both sides next time instead of just listening to one.

It's on the healing stage, but you can tell that the corner line differs and there is a smudged area on both tattoos. For both these it was $240 total and done by Chris. He wanted double bands around his forearm and Sam was able to sketch it out and do the tattoo on the same day. We were in and out within 1.5 hours. He explained the process and aftercare which made getting a tattoo seamless and less daunting. I was on the fence about getting a tattoo but my friend said if he got one I would have to get one too. I decided to get a runner with an ekg as I thought it was fitting for me. I wanted something small for my first tattoo and easily to keep hidden from my mom (sorry mom). He asked me to send him a picture of what I wanted and scheduled an appointment for Monday at 11am. Once Monday came I walked over and signed the consent form. He then printed out the tattoo and placed the outline on my chest and asked me if it was where I wanted it. Being a tattoo noob I trusted his judgement. After letting the outline dry I laid down and he began working on the piece. He said since it was a small tattoo and mainly lines there shouldn't be much pain and the healing process wouldn't be as long. It took about 30 mins to finish up the tattoo and the quality came out amazing. There was no pain at all and he went over the aftercare as well. I showed Sam this other tattoo I wanted and he said he would be able to do that as well. He says his art style is realism and anime so I can't wait to get more work done by him. He has been tattooing for 2 years now along with his apprenticeship. He told me to message him when I'm ready for my next piece. Maybe this tattoo thing is an addiction and will keep you coming back for more.

I'm sitting here in Rick's reading all of the other reviews while my girlfriend gets her first tattoo. It is blatantly obvious that the one-star negatives are from shills or competing shops- how can you give a business one star when you state in the review that you haven't even used their services yet, but "might someday." Give me a break... Rick, the owner, is a super-friendly, extremely talented artist who has been professional and attentive since the minute we walked in. Booked us for an hour later, and although he was still working on his earlier customer when we came back, he offered to have another artist do the work if we couldn't wait. We waited, gladly. The entire experience was relaxed, and the work was amazing. My girlfriend is thrilled with her first tattoo. We'll be back.... And I have a feeling it will be often. read more

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, believe me I would. The fact that I should be writing a final paper right now but have instead decided to finally write my review about RicRoks should prove just how much I have grown to love this place. I've been coming here since I won my Free tattoo in 2009. Once I got started here I couldn't stop. I now have a total of about 10 tattoos from them. I've been tattooed by Rick and Andres. It's one of the best, non-stuck up, most respectable tattoo shops you will most likely ever walk in to. It's clean, no one that works here is an a**hole, like many of the other shops I've been made to feel uncomfortable in, and they do exactly whatever it is that you may want. FIrst of all the place is sooooooooooooo amazing; every one is so friendly, welcomin, and down to talk to you through anything you might have to question related to ur tattoo, etc. I did my research on line for a while and decided to go to RIROKS and i was glad that i did. I got a crazy, crazy portrait of a woman which required crazyyyy details. Jimmy did his thing and it looks better than how i wanted. After few hours of hanging out there (while gettin tatted) you totally feel like home as if u belong to the place =) ALSO THE PRICE IS WAY MORE REASONABLE THAN ANY OTHER PLACES THAT I'VE DONE RESEARCH ON! I must say, it was quite an experience. I got a tattoo done by Rick, the owner and it was great! He has a very light hand compared to other artists. Also very talkative, and the crew's friendly as well. As for the shop, i didn't even want to leave, that's how good it was! The shop is very attracting and clean, a lot of interesting items for you to focus on while getting tatted. I felt very comfortable during my visit at RicRok's Tattoo Parlor, one of thee best experience so far. But with that being said, i highly recommend anybody AND everybody wanting a new tattoo. This is my first tattoo and the experience was awesome. The shop was clean. The people that work there are very out going and easy to get along with. Rick and Val gave me the run down on how the tattoo was going to be done, what equipment he was going to use and he let me feel just how much it would hurt, but what I liked the most was the fact that he pointed out that they only use packaged and clean needles. i got my 2nd and 3rd tattoo at RicRocks, Andres did both my tattoo's. my first expirience was about 2 months ago, got some lettering done on my chest (Andres did an awesome job), loved the work so i went back to get my other tattoo about a week ago. upon entering the shop you feel welcomed, you get a good vibe just being there, great artwork displayed and they got pretty good music playing as well. i will definitely be getting the rest of my tattoo's at RicRocks. I went in for my first tattoo today and I was fortunate enough to have Clarens as my artist. At every step he was communicating with me to make sure to not only put me at ease but also to make sure the piece would turn out as great as he could make it. I brought in custom artwork and he made fantastic recommendations to alter it slightly so that over time it would remain great. This place is awesome! Came in to see a friends finished tattoo after work one day. And 24 hours later was getting tattooed myself. Great guys at RikRoks! Didn't think my tattoo could come out as beautiful as it did. Ric is a genuine great guy and his attention to detail is awesome. The vibe was so welcoming. All of the artists are friendly to clients and to each other. It's quiet and calm. Louie (Isabela's dog) made the visit so joyful. I've gotten 6 tattoos from her and I'm getting ready to do another. She's great at fine-line work and botanicals. I'm so pain-averse but she makes me feel so comfortable I barely notice it. (Okay, well.... let's say she makes it worth it). The Eagle Rock shop is bigger and it has a great vibe, though it's different. It's more difficult to find parking here, but if you don't mind walking a little, you always can. I love that the shop is woman-owned and queer/trans friendly. It feels like community. What else?
