The apartments themselves are spacious and structurally sound with tasteful Berber carpeting, engineered wood flooring, and high-quality kitchen cabinetry and appliances. Alejandro, who oversees the maintenance of the complex, was always very quick to respond to requests I submitted, often the same day. He ensured everything was in perfect working order. He always made it a point to greet me whenever our paths crossed. They have…read moreinformed me even though I have a Westlake Village address, I am zoned "Thousand Oaks" so I have contacted Thousand Oaks City Hall and they are filing a report and taking action. The process: they notify county, county comes to do an inspection. Then they decide if the building needs to be tented and vacated. I am starting the process to break my lease with the on site manager. Such a nightmare, no one...let alone a single mother of 2 should ever have to go through this awful mess. The mold problem cannot be addressed. I am informed that the state has no legal action or law for mold on property windows. I will attach some photos so you can all see what we have been dealing with. I took this action, because this apartment complex needs to be accountable. They are spraying my home with toxins. I have asked for list of what chemicals they are using and I have never gotten it. I also found out, they should be spraying every 3 days three times a day. they have been spraying my home only, once every Monday. My neighbors were not sprayed until recently. We all should have been warned and sprayed in the correct fashion...and possibly put in hotel. And a cleaning service and carpet washing should have happened after...but NONE did. I spent a week cleaning up the dead and live bugs left behind after fogging was done. My carpet was full of cockroaches trying to flee the kitchen and crawl away. I will have to pay for a cleaning service to come...and a carpet cleaning service to come...unless the city gives us orders to leave...then-I won't even bother, I will just go. I cannot tell you the damage this process has done. I have had migraine headaches and my skin has broken out...all from the chemicals. I could never recommend this complex to anyone.

I suppose this is just part of living by tons of other people who have the freedom to choose whether they want to smoke or not. Pros: The apartment complex is mostly quiet, except for when people decide to have loud fights in the middle of the night, during which everything can be heard. But during normal nights, it is easy to get a peaceful night's sleep, which is rare for an apartment complex. Another pro: jacuzzi is awesome. It's large enough to enjoy some time with several friends in a hot tub.

From the front of the building you can't even tell it's an apartment complex of 65 units, pool, with a court yard that makes you feel your on vacation. From the first day I meet with Leah ( Property Manger) she made me feel at home ! Leah spent over 3 hours taking me to different units all over the building, I couldn't make up my mind which floor , what side of building I wanted . Leah was so patient and from that day I knew this was home for my family . This past year with everything that has happened, Leah has made sure the community here stays safe and happy . Leah lives on site and it's nice to know that if I or my family ever need anything she is only a phone call away . A perfect example is I work 38 miles away from home . One day my daughter called and needed help, and I called Leah and with any hesitation Leah was in my house helping my daughter. There have been times when Leah has checked on my dogs . One major drawback for me at this time is as tenants move out, vacant units are renovated. New tenants pay a lot less than occupied units. It does not appear occupied units will get renovated. The only way we can get a renovation is to move into a unit that has been renovated. I love my unit for various reasons. I have a great view and privacy. Floor plans are nice here. My carpeting is worn out and all that is offered is new padding. No new carpeting. It's pretty sad when epoxy glue is used to repair your refrigerator cooling strips are worn out and irreparable in your refrigerator. For the most part I enjoy living here. The staff here is nice. No complaints there. I feel safe here and it's close to my job. I understand the staff can only do so much. It's Equity Corporate Offices with the check book. If Equity Corp in Chicago sees this post I can only ask to please consider renovating occupied units since occupied units are paying for the renovations. And rather than using epoxy in refrigerators, replace the whole thing. After speaking to friends of mine outside of our community it appears they have the same issues with respect to high rent increases, old carpeting and outdated appliances that needs repairs should be replaced.
