I did some searching and, after visiting this location, I was not let down. This recycling business is located in the heart of the industrial area of Chula Vista on Main Street. The location is simple to get to and the entrance is not complicated. The owners definitely run a tight ship operation and work so efficiently. I have yet to encounter a long wait time either since I have started to visit. The business pays out very friendly returns for glass, plastic and aluminum items. The customer service is impeccable and welcoming. Also, the set up in the parking lot is very organized. The area where the customers obtain the baskets and trash cans to start filling up their recyclables has an easy access, and there are plenty of barrels to go around. The parking lot is shared with other businesses in the vicinity, however, I guarantee that you will not be parking far away or complaining about the lot being crowded. Furthermore, if you receive the Clipp coupon booklet, look inside for their totally wicked offers! I always clip it and hand it to the employee, physically (I believe that may be the only method.) Lastly, I did see a Yelp! badge located at their front window cashier area that indicated they were the best reviewed Recycling Center too!

The getting there 10mins prior to closing and not taking us was disappointing. I even said you guys close at 1pm not 1250pm they should put will not take anyone 10minutes prior. Its already a hassle to get everything organized in our truck and we make sure everything is sorted already to its an easy dump and go. But usually we have good service which is why I went with the 3 stars.

Main Street recycling also will take your old monitors and television so you don't have to wait for the e-recycling events. If your TV is not working and not fit to be donated this is the place you could bring it. One can also sell your bottles of course along with other metallic items in your household. I brought in my large load of plastics and aluminum cans in at 8am. No line that trails off Main St! Another reason why early mornings are key! The guys always help me empty out my car. They're very pleasant and they even ask me if I want to keep my bags. They separate your bags for you in their massive machine. I didn't print out my coupon, but I'm just happy to recycle! I had about 8 bags and combined getting over $52 was just an added bonus. They make you print your name and sign the receipt. If you're lucky they'll give you a $2 bill. Love these! They also take wine bottles, aluminum scraps, & more. I do have my bags separated already - this will simplify everything! I was in and out in minutes. The location is right next to Smart & Final. So I did a research of scrap metal recycling and Mike's was the go to place. I had never been there before. So after I disassembled the old grill and boxed it for easy transport in the bed of my Truck. I headed to the location. Now here's where the semi confusion happened. During this process I learned that Mike's has two locations, the one off of Main street is strictly for recycling plastic bottles and aluminum cans. The other location on Broadway is for scrap metal. It's a good size building and it looks very clean. When I pulled up there are white arrows that direct you where to go, basically you pull into the building they will show you where to park. After I pulled in and parked., got out of my truck they were already pulling up trash bids to put the grill parts in for me. All I did was lower my tail gate and positioned the parts and they did the rest. For me this was so convenient , simple and valuable because I didn't waste my time driving in circles looking for a place for disposal.
