We love that this grocery store is a short 15 minute walk from our hotel when we come to visit. It has all the staples needed. Good selection of fruits and vegetables - we love the guavas, mangos, and carrots the most! They taste so fresh and more flavorful than what we get in the US. Decent selection of meat, dairy, snacks, cereal, etc too! They have a bakery (with fresh tortillas), pharmacy, a touristy area (bathing suits, shirts, souvenirs, etc), and an area that has prepped food items. They also have a decent alcohol/beer area. Prices are way better than what they charge at the hotel (though you're likely paying for convenience there). Highly recommend this treat to pick up items! Kulkulkan grocery shoppin'! This isn't exactly where the locals shop so much. It's located in a shopping mall that seems to be having some occupancy issues, but has an absolutely beautiful atrium, with a decorated dome, fountains- It's amazing! The shopping is a bit rough- it's not exactly the cheapest place to shop in Mexico. It's not the most expensive- that honor seems to belong to the other grocery up the road a mile or two and the Cancun Pointe. The aisles are a bit jammed together, and they certainly cater to the gringo tourista. They have new swimsuits, hats, sunglasses, plenty of cerveza, tequila, mixers, and food. A bakery section offers pan dulces and a variety of things to make sandwiches with. There's a bunch of bottled water, and everything you need to feel at home. I kinda don't care for how they seem to organize this place- whatever they're doing, I haven't figured it out yet. The prices were okay, the selection okay. Okay! read more

My first experience at a Mexican supermarket. You'll find everything you need here (whether you're staying at a hotel or other types of lodgings), at 1/4 or less of the prices at your hotel / resort. They sell fruits, beer, chips, snacks, candy, chocolate, baked goods, juice, drinks, etc. I really enjoyed the bakery which had several items that great starter breakfast items. You can buy a six pack of corona for about $100 pesos, for those days you don't want or need cocktail drinks from the resort. The fruit selection is small, but I recommend the mangos if you have the patience to cut and serve. Mango juices are good too, but will be heavy to carry back to the hotel since they are in glass containers. Bring shopping backs or a large backpack! read more

Been coming here the past 8-9 yrs or whenever we visit Cancun. And sadly I've seen the quality and selection go down over the years. They use to make churros & have all sorts of baked Mexican breads, cupcakes & pastries. Sadly all they had was a few donut selections & 1 pastry. And they have little to no meats, you almost have to get there early to get something decent. Good booze selection & great prices. Best place to get groceries reasonably priced in hotel zone. If you get there early enough the fried chicken in their deli counter is yummy! They now carry Kerrygold butter too! read more

Took a 15-minute walk from my hotel to the Kukalcan Plaza and this Soriana Super supermarket. Alcohol was at the top of my sweetie's grocery list while I was looking for snacks! Checkout was slow as there were lots of people from nearby hotels probably doing the same thing as us. Well maintained store and plenty of bulky & heavy products for us to carry back to the hotel for our stay. So much so that we had to take a 5-minute 180 pesos taxi ride back. There was also an option to take the public transit bus for 12 pesos per person. read more

I always love shopping at grocery stores. This one is upstairs near the food court. I just needed a snack and some chips before a flight. I bought a ham and cheese sandwich for $1.50 US. Good deal! They also have a selection of tshirts and other knickknacks to take home as gifts. Plenty of beer, wine and tequila etc for your room. read more

Updated review... April 2024, Sorianos is no longer offering delivery. This is a mistake on their part. My family and I would buy our essentials and then buy the large stay items at Costco or Sam's Club. We have changed to getting our essentials at Selecto, a 15 minute bus ride or 2 1/2 mile walk towards downtown. Selecto delivers however each one of us takes 2 shopping bags each and we are able to bring our groceries back to Lagunamar by bus. The bus costs 12 pesos each. We will only buy groceries at Soriano, as a last resort. read more

They sell Pasta with bugs in them, and the bugs we alive. The bag was sealed and must have come from the pasta manufacturer. Standards in Mexico are not as high as in Europe or the USA. read more

Incredible covid protocols. Temperature taken, carts washed down, sanitizer issued. It's a 10 minute walk from Westin Lagunamar and they now deliver. We love the oven rotisserie chicken for 115 pesos and buy fresh rolls, herbed goat cheese and avocado to make the best chicken sandwiches. The produce section is very good and the fresh meat and dairy seem to turnover more now in April than they did when I last visited in February. The beer and wine selection is excellent, there are limited purchase hours on Sunday. Credit cards accepted and they have some nice Cancún merchandise too. Prices are reasonable and great variety. read more

Won't let me go lower than 1. The order I spent over an hour placing and for which my card was charged never showed. I had to use hotel food/bev which I didn't want to do and will obv be alerting my card. If they can't or won't deliver then they should just disable it on their site. This is a nice addition to the area. Looking for something you can't find at 7-Eleven or OXXO. We were pleasantly surprised to find it had opened in November 2014. Make sure you check out the bakery area. We loaded up on some treats. Great cookies and fruit pies. The fresh fruit has a great selection and we grabbed a few oranges and plums to enjoy on the beach. So they have a Pretty good selection overall and it's super close to resorts. We stayed for 16 days and the first week we went to the Selecto market near the clubs. They have a great selection on everything. The second week we decided to try Soriana since it was close to the Westin Laguna Mar where we stayed. Over all Soriana was ok but their fresh meat and vegetable selection was very bad. Compared to Selecto it was night and day. If you just need dry goods and alcohol Soriana will work for you. read more

It is *upstairs* at the Kulkukan Plaza. We wandered around for a bit of a while trying to find it. Good selection. Within walking distance of many hotels. Super friendly staff. Apparently they will also deliver to your hotel/room, but we didn't partake in that service. If nothing else, go to the bakery and get like ONE OF EVERYTHING. Suuuuper inexpensive, fresh pastries. This is a huge grocery story located inside a mini mall. We were spending roughly $2.75 for a bottle of water on our resort when our concierge told us about Soriana. She described it as the Mexican Walmart so off we went. When we arrived we asked for the price of a 12 pack of water. The cashier told us $3.60. We did a double take and repeated the question, assuming something was lost in translation. Again, he repeated the same price saying each bottle was 30 cents. We got to the register and were literally dumbfounded as to how cheap the prices were here compared to the "American" resorts. We ended up buying a bunch of fresh fruits and snacks to take back to the resort. read more

Pretty big size grocery store...imagine a Safeway or Krogers if you're from the US. Things are maybe 10-20% higher than the mainland...but that is expected based on the location in a mall right in the middle of the hotel zone. Much-Much better than your sundries store at your hotel. Eg...I paid $7 USD for a 5l bottle at the hotel, the same was $1USD at this place. Liquor prices are good too. On par with grocery store prices in California. read more

BEWARE!! They are chiselers in the pharmacy. After paying for $60 eye drops prescription, they said they needed to order the meds. Fine... came back a few days later and they said we had to pay again. Even after showing a receipt, they wouldn't give the meds until we paid again. Manager, clerk, everyone is in on the scam. Credit card company verified that they charged us twice. Food prices fine but quality is suspect. BEWARE. read more

I was happy to find this market (located on the top floor of kukulkan plaza) as it was close to our resort but when my family and I got there it wasn't as great as I hope for. It is better than going to a 7-eleven or oxxo because they carry more products and even have a small deli area but it's nothing like Chedraui further down zona hotelera. If you're staying near the area and need to buy food, snacks, liquor, beach stuff, medicine. This little supermarket is a great place to get what you need. If you don't mind going another 5 mins down the road, check out Chedraui! read more

We stayed at the Westin Lagunamar and this grocery is about a 10min walk. They had everything we could have wanted and the staff is extremely helpful! They have a great bakery and we picked up breakfast pastries, and baguettes and saved a small fortune eating breakfast and lunch in our room. We also picked up our water there - $1.80USD for a six pack of bottled water (unsure of the size by far bigger than 16oz). We got some steaks and grilled out one night and they were great! Nice selection of fruits and veggies, good booze selection AFTER 11!!!, very nice little bakery, and some prepared grab and go type of stuff. Along with the normal grocery food selections. Soriana is a super market and store like the super stores in the US. (Walmart, Target, etc.) I've been to several Sorianas in my Mexico travel too as a gringo. This is a very clean and modern that is right in the hotel zone. Tips 1. Do tip the person bagging. It is very normal to do so. 2. This is where to buy snacks and drinks. The prices are good and much less expensive than the hotels or even the Oxo or 7-11 stores 3. Alcohol and beer are very competitively priced. Be sure to check out the chilean wines. 4. Try the mexican candies and bakery out. The bread section has a variety of pastries and other delites. read more

I puked my guts out at this grocery store. I was "sick", the Cancun air got to me. Anyway, the staff at was so incredibly nice and didn't make me feel bad about yakking. Soriano's was an escape from the ratchet activities happening on the hotel strip. This place is like the Whole Foods of Cancun. When you miss commercial America and clean non-hotel food, this is the place to come. The grocery store is in a beautiful luxury mall on the northern end of Cancun's hotel strip. It's really easy to get here, and there's a nice luxury outlet mall right up the road as well with nice brands and restaurants. I really loved this part of town probably because it was an escape from Cancun. read more

We stayed at the Lagunamar Ocean Resort for 16 days. Call us boring - but we fended for ourselves for every meal other than 4 meals. Yes I cooked for my wife each day. And no - we did not get Montezuma's revenge even once (knock on wood). My wife has a very sensitive system and even she is fine. We wash our lettuce. The Hotel water is filtered and purified. We found that the Soriana Supermarket - on the second floor of the Kukulkan Mall - a 12 minute walk south of our hotel was good for daily shopping for wine, spirits, produce, bakery items, dairy, frozen convenience items and frozen sea food. Our hotel's concierge told us about this brand new supermarket in the area. Since it was walking distance from the Westin, we walked here several times on our trip to stock up on goods. When we came, they had a great deal on all liquor. It was buy 2, get 1 free. We were able to stock up on 3 bottles of Espolon tequila for about $20 U.S. dollars. (It is supposedly $20+ a bottle in the states) They also have a great hot foods deli area where you can get 5 amazing tacos for about $3 U.S. dollars. We also came by several times to get items from their bakery. The selection was amazing, and everything was priced really well. My suggestion would be to pay in U.S. dollars since the conversion rate was so much better than if we were to have paid in pesos. read more
