I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Weddings are no small feat, and Camille at The Lady by the…read moreLake Catering went above and beyond for our wedding. I mean...just look at the photos. They look like they're straight out of a Pinterest board. We wanted someone local who would accommodate food allergies. We were also looking for someone who could not only make the dishes we were hoping for, but also create a gluten-free, plant-based grazing table for about 70 people. And it was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Let's talk about the dinner first. Camille set up an intimate tasting at the church where the catering company is based. Before the tasting, we had a phone call about our allergy needs, and she accommodated beautifully by making everything gluten-free and minimizing dairy where we could. My husband and I compromised slightly on dairy for dinner, but we kept the grazing board fully plant-based. After the tasting, we chose three entrées and trust me, it was hard to choose because everything was so delicious. We went with two chicken dishes. The herb-crusted chicken was originally for the kids, but once the adults tasted it, they loved it so much we ordered extra portions. The Tuscan chicken was my husband's favorite. We also chose the cod, and it was the best fish I've ever tasted in my entire life. I still dream about it. We had leftovers and since we provided containers, that's what we brought on our honeymoon. We were in heaven reliving our wedding dinner the whole time. For the sides, we couldn't choose between the herb-roasted potatoes and the mashed potatoes, so we got both. And mixed vegetables! They were delicious. Everyone raved about them afterward, especially my family. We still talk about this food. We also chose two salads. The Caesar was my favorite, and she accommodated us by making it plant-based with our favorite vegan feta. I can't express how grateful we are for how thoughtful and flexible Camille was. Now let's talk about the grazing board. I knew it was a big ask to create such a large gluten-free, plant-based grazing table for 70 people, but Camille and her team made it happen in the most beautiful way. We gave her an extensive list of the foods we wanted, and she coordinated with Rebel Cheese to get a wholesale deal for our favorite cheese wheels. She sourced all the gluten-free baguettes and crackers we sent her, brought in colorful olives, fresh fruit, nuts, and seeds, and even made homemade jams! (Are you kidding me!?) Everything was absolutely delicious and strategically and beautifully placed. She truly went above and beyond. I still cry when I look at these photos. She even had one of her servers make us our own plates from the grazing board so we didn't miss out on our favorites! How sweet is that? We also gave her our cake and cupcakes, and her team placed everything on the dessert table so beautifully. We even had polaroid photos that needed to be placed inside the cake with specific instructions, and everything was done exactly how we asked. We also gave her all the charcuterie accessories, plates, napkins, cupcakes and cake, and extra decor to go on the grazing table the day before and she did such a wonderful job implementing it all. If you're looking for a caterer in Lake Arrowhead for your wedding, I truly could not recommend Camille at The Lady by the Lake Catering more. She has the most fresh, delicious food, and she just has that special touch I feel weddings deserve. From the tasting to our wedding day, she made the entire experience unforgettable. Thank you, Camille and The Lady by the Lake staff. We will be dreaming about this food and this day for the rest of our lives.

The muffins and potato salad were so yummy - and I usually don't even like potato salad. Yes I did get seconds on the mac and cheese - and I wasn't the only one! I could write about how amazing Event Hosting Group is for days!…read more I'm not really sure where to start except I know my wedding would not have been the same without them. In order to save costs on our wedding, my family cooked all of the food. I didn't however, like the idea of having my family serve dinner as well; and buffet style never works out because you either have way to much left over, or not enough. We also had a backyard wedding in the beginning of Summer, which can lead to a bug problem, so in-comes this amazing company. I provided them a detailed outline of how and when the food should be served, and they surpassed all of my expectations. They are so professional and detail oriented, I was blown away. For example, it was in the high 80s and though I advised them it was okay, they kept their black ties on the entire time they worked. After serving appetizers, drinks, bread, salad, the main entrée, ushering guests, dessert, and more, they even cleaned my kitchen and threw out the garbage. It was amazing, I received so many compliments about how professional they were as well. I can't recommend them enough, I'm trying to look for an excuse to have another party, just so I can book them again!

What an amazing experience these guys are bringing to your home!…read more This is the third time my daughter invites this chef, to cook for us, at her backyard. This time, it was yesterday, Friday dinner. We were about 15 adults and 7 kids. They came around 6pm, to set up everything, and I mean EVERYTHING! They are bringing tables, chairs, cover for the chairs, maps, plates, utensils, glasses, napkins, and decorations for the tables. I can not even start to describe how beautiful , clean , neat and elegant it looks. Gorgeous! They were 2 guys; the chef, and a helper/server. The food is DELICIOUS! It is like you are in Benihana, but even better, in your backyard. Very professional, very tasty. Not just this, they do not enter your home, they do not use your kitchen, they take everything back with them, including the dirty dishes, clean after them, throw the trash, and leave your backyard exactly how it was before. unbelievable! After they left, we looked outside, and didn't believe the party we had 30 min ago. it looks clean and neat, like nothing ever happened. The whole experience was outstanding. Such a happy , beautiful an elegant way to celebrate any private event, or just a unique dinner with family and friends. I can not recommend them enough. Their price is very reasonable, and worth every penny. We will invite them again and again.

My party all ordered the same plate (filet, chicken and shrimp) which also comes with edamame, fried rice and veggies. All tasted so good and you can tell super high quality food. Lastly, the chef deserves praise. He was so sweet and so entertaining. He got the grouo to be interactive with funny jokes, utensil/food tricks and his energy was unmatched. 10/10 would recommend for an amazing hibachi experience

Five stars, without hesitation…read more Our family was in Lake Arrowhead for the weekend to celebrate a birthday, and hiring Chef Grey to cook for us at our Airbnb was one of the best decisions we made. From the moment she arrived, everything felt easy and relaxed. She was organized, friendly, and completely took over the kitchen so we could actually enjoy the evening together. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. We started with the Wagyu Tataki with pine smoked ponzu, which was incredible. Chef Grey mentioned she had gathered the pine needles herself during a walk the day before, such a thoughtful touch and everyone loved it. The Kurobuta Pork Belly Kakuni came next and quickly became the favorite of the night. It was perfectly tender with just the right touch of sweetness, and the mustard on the side paired beautifully. The Alpine Tempura Platter with jumbo prawns and mountain vegetables was so good, it did not even need the sauce. For the main course, we enjoyed the Cedar Plank Miso Black Cod. The buttery fish paired perfectly with the crispy grilled rice and sweet soy butter glaze, and the sesame broccolini was cooked just right. Dessert sealed the deal. The White Chocolate and Yuzu Namelaka was super smooth, creamy, and not too sweet. Chef Grey also made a triple berry cake and surprised us with yummy brown butter ice cream that she made herself as a birthday treat. Such a thoughtful touch! Everything was generous in portion size, which we honestly were pleasantly surprised by, and we happily enjoyed leftovers the next day. We have hired private chefs before, and without a doubt, Chef Grey's cooking was the most delicious we have experienced so far. On top of the amazing food, the pacing of the meal was perfect and she left the kitchen spotless. Thank you, Chef Grey, for making our celebration such a memorable night.
