Despite this, I hesitate to give them 5 stars because although some of the staff are really friendly and helpful, others can be a bit 'offish' and on the few occasions when we've had problems with stuff, although we haven't caved in, both myself and my husband have felt that a bit under pressure to back down and accept what had been supplied.

Luke spent about 90mins with us and really knew his stuff. Turns out he's been with Jones & Co for 14 years - like many of his colleagues. Sadly we were badly let down as the maker decided to discontinue the range we were about to order with 2 weeks' notice and the communication between them, Luke and us evaporated so we went elsewhere.

The other computer shop in Trowbridge was quite happy to sell me a replacement (even though they weren't sure it was the correct one). The guys in abm advised me that it might not be the adaptor at all, but could be the connector in my screen. They didn't try to sell me a new flash screen, but as I had already explained I was looking to replace my pc in a year or two, they suggested buying a second hand screen. After a little negotiation, I got a very good second hand screen for £10 (much less than the cost of the adaptor) and they even carried it to the car for me!

He offers a…read morefull on-site repair service, and is able to deal with things that others seem incapable of doing! I have a watch that I bought in America, and every other local jewellers could not remove the back of the watch in order to replace the battery - he did it in seconds, with no marks on the watch at all! His prices are reasonable too. I've not used the jewellery repair or manufacturing side of the business, but he knows his stuff (unlike a lot of the chain jewellers).
